NFL DFS Divisional Round WR Coach: Amon-Ra St. Brown, Terry McLaurin, Xavier Worthy

Published: Jan 17, 2025
The 2025 NFL Playoffs are in full swing, and the Divisional Round promises an exciting lineup of games, creating plenty of opportunities for NFL DFS players on DraftKings and FanDuel to win big.
This weekend’s matchups showcase a dynamic mix of superstar wide receivers and emerging talents, all vying for a chance to reach the conference championships.
Highlighted by rising stars Amon-Ra St. Brown, Terry McLaurin and rookie sensation Xavier Worthy.
Here’s a closer look at the top wide receiver picks for this thrilling weekend of postseason action.
NFL DFS WR Top Tier & Play of the Week For Divisional Round
Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions
While the focus of the Lions offense is typically centered around a strong running game, especially with the expected return of David Montgomery this weekend against the Commanders, we can't overlook how poor the Commanders pass defense is and the fact that if Jayden Daniels is going to continue to put up points like he has this season then the Lions are going to need to throw the football. We saw the Buccaneers last week have little trouble moving the football through the air against Washington with Marshon Lattimore getting torched time and time again by Mike Evans and I'm envisioning a big day from Amon-Ra St.Brown where he finds the gaps in the Commanders defense and Goff connects with him on some big plays across the middle of the field.
Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams
The Rams passing attack was sub-par against the Vikings but Nacua did manage five catches on nine targets for 44 yards. Now, that is certainly not the performance we want to get when spending up on this slate but my feelings on the game flow here are that we end up seeing the Rams playing from behind against the Eagles, forcing more of a pass centric offensive attack. Against the Eagles earlier this season we saw Nacua finish with nine catches on 13 targets for 117 yards in a 37-20 loss. That outcome looks a bit more likely for me.
NFL DFS WR Mid-Tier Picks For Divisional Round
Terry McLaurin, Washington Commanders
The Lions pass defense has really taken a hit this season with the loss of key pieces on their defense and that makes McLaurin one of my favorite plays of the entire week. Not only is he an incredible value at his price tag but we know that he is going to be a target monster in this matchup.
Over the last two weeks we've seen McLaurin targeted 22 times, catching 15 passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns.
Rookie QB Jayden Daniels is looking like a star and if Washington is to pull off one of the biggest upsets this season then we likely see McLaurin having himself a huge day in the process.
Jameson Williams, Detroit Lions
I always love me some Jameson Williams. He is a home run hitter that developed into an all around receiver this year which has helped not only raise his fantasy floor but also his ceiling as well. Again, we expected the Lions to run the football but Dan Campbell and Ben Johnson are known for their trick plays and big plays so it would only be fitting that they break something out here in this playoff matchup that unlocks Williams for a long touchdown.
NFL DFS WR Value Picks For Divisional Round
Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs can come at you with a bunch of different weapons but down the stretch this offense really leaned on rookie Xavier Worthy and he delivered in a big way. Yes, Hollywood Brown is back in the mix and getting involved but the big play upside from Worthy makes him an appealing value play this weekend.
Khalil Shakir, Buffalo Bills
While everyone thought of Dalton Kincaid or rookie Keon Coleman this season the top dog in Buffalo has been Khalil Shakir. Even when Amari Cooper was traded to the Bills it was still Shakir who remained as the most consistent pass catcher in this Bills offense.
This week Buffalo has a home matchup against a Ravens secondary that has played better but will really be put to the test with Josh Allen looking to sling the football around and I'd bet on Shakir leading the team in targets.
Hollywood Brown, Kansas City Chiefs
He's played two games and has seen 15 targets in those two contests. It seems like Brown has overtaken DeAndre Hopkins on the depth chart yet he is the cheapest of the Chiefs wide receivers heading into this matchup against the Texans and that makes Brown a really nice value play in GPPs given his upside with Patrick Mahomes under center.
Dyami Brown, Washington Commanders
Since Noah Brown went down we've seen a few different Commander wide receivers have big games as the WR2 in the offense. For much of the time we've looked at Olamide Zaccheaus but last week it was Dyami Brown who came through, catching all five of his targets for 89 yards and a touchdown.
After the traded of Jahan Dotson many thought Brown was going to be the man to roster and while that didn't turn out to be the case, his play last week may have afforded him an increased opportunity this weekend against the Lions to make some plays.
NFL DFS WR Fades For Divisional Round
Nico Collins, Houston Texans
The weather is going to be cold, near freezing with the wind chill and windy. C.J. Stroud has not historically played well on the road over his first two seasons in the NFL and this game has the lowest game total on the board at 41.5 points. I just don't find myself looking to spend top dollar for Nico Collins for him to come up with 4 catches for 50 yards this weekend.
