Who's ready to start their NFL Week 14 DFS research? A lot of us had a ton of fun with this past week's results as the NFL DFS Playbook offered you some amazing options. Sure, everyone knew to play Tyreek Hill, but who else had the Brock Purdy/Deebo Samuel pairing? Yes, we had Deebo over Brandon Aiyuk. And what about Nico Collins over Tank Dell? Getting Mike Evans and/or Michael Pittman into the lineups as well. We even had Jonathan Mingo in there as a pay-down to get Tyreek into those lineups! You gotta love it!

So what out this week? While there are only two teams on a bye – Washington Commanders and Arizona Cardinals – we still only have an 11-game slate with two games on Monday Night. And we also have a ton of marquee names off the board with the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins all playing in prime-time. No Tyreek? No CeeDee Lamb? No Jalen Hurts or A.J. Brown? What direction do we take this week? Let's get to it!

With another fantastic week with the DFS Playbook comes a new wave of new subscribers, so as always, I would like to welcome all of you. I love seeing all the new screen names in Discord and seeing all of these new sign-ups for the All-Pro package makes me very happy, so before we fully dive in to the NFL DFS Week 13 Watch List, please allow me to welcome all of the new members of the Fantasy Alarm #FAmily. There are a lot of you and we thank you for joining. Now it's up to us to help you cash consistently on your NFL DFS action and we are psyched to make that happen. Since you are new to the Watch List, allow me to share some thoughts real quick:

“If you give a man a fish, he’ll eat for a day. If you teach a man to fish, he’ll eat for a lifetime.”

We take this adage to heart when it comes to playing NFL DFS. The Fantasy Alarm Playbook isn’t just about handing you a list of players and a lineup to use each week. It is designed to help you learn to be a better DFS player. It’s about teaching you the process used in selecting which players to scout and, eventually, which ones to use.

Therefore, we will begin each week with the Weekly NFL DFS Watch List which is designed to keep tabs on marquee names, chalk plays and, of course, the weekly bargains who may not see the same coverage and exposure. This piece will be continuously updated throughout the week, based on the most recent news and injuries, which means you may see a name or two removed as we get closer to Sunday kick-off. You may also see a few late-week additions who pique our interest for some reason too, and by the end of the week, this Watch List will eventually become your Playbook. Again, it’s about teaching you the process.

So what exactly did last week's Playbook deliver? As always, we like to check in to ensure we remain on the right path.

Scoring The Playbook Week 13

Since I already did some chest-pounding up above, I can let these lineups speak for themselves. Every play was in the DFS Playbook or DFS Dart Board this week and both scores would have won the top prize on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Now the trick is to get all of us – you and me – into the green this week and grab that top prize. Wouldn't that be a special holiday treat? OK, enough talk. More analysis coming your way.

FanDuel is raising that price on us so we're going to have to decide whether we really want to pay up at the quarterback position this week. It's a nice match-up against the Seahawks who are allowing the ninth-most passing yard per game and 17 passing touchdowns on the season while allowing opposing QBs to post a 90.9 passer rating against them. He did struggle a bit against them two weeks ago in Seattle, but another game this close together, you know Kyle Shanahan has something up his sleeve.

QBJustin FieldsNE @ PIT Thu 8:1568007900

Fields' first game back from the thumb injury came against the Lions in Detroit and while he only threw for 169 yards and a score, he did run for 104 yards against them. The bye week has afforded him and the Bears coaching staff some additional prep time this week and he's not only going to look to run the ball – something that keeps his floor nice and high – but also t be more efficient through the air. The Lions are allowing the eighth-most passing yards per game and they've allowed 20 touchdowns through the air. Fields should be able to build off their last meeting and put him in an excellent spot for DFS use this week.

QBJustin HerbertDEN @ LAC Sun 4:2575007800

Everyone is down on Herbert and the Chargers offense after these last two weeks, but he's got a much softer defensive match-up here against the Broncos. Yes, Denver has showed some improvements, but as we just witnessed against Houston, they are still vulnerable. The key for the Chargers is in the personnel. Keenan Allen is a stud, but they need complementary receivers to help draw away the coverage. Quentin Johnston continues to struggle so either they need to get Austin Ekeler and Jalen Guyton more involved or they need to expand the role of Gerald Everett and the rest of the tight ends. Denver ranks 28th in DVOA against the pass and they allow the ninth-most passing yards, so keep a watchful eye here. He could end up being a great, low-owned GPP option this week.

QBRussell WilsonNE @ PIT Thu 8:1558007400

On the other side of this Broncos/Chargers game, we also like Wilson, especially at this discounted price. Joe Lombardi's offense is really starting to jell and even though they dropped this last road game to the Texans, they are still showing strong signs of life. Prior to last week, Wilson had gone five-straight weeks without an interception and while his passing totals haven't been huge over the last six games, he's brought back some of the rushing element to his game and has a rushing touchdown in each of his last two. We already know how vulnerable this Chargers defense is, allowing the second-most passing yards per game, 20 passing touchdowns on the year and allowing opposing quarterbacks to post a 97 passer-rating against them, sixth-highest in the league.

At this price, we're going to have to take a look, even though the Panthers just got back Jaycee Horn and Jeremy Chinn in the secondary. We know Winston is going to throw a pick or two in any game he plays, but he can also throw for 300 yards and a couple of touchdowns just as easily. We need to look at his weapons for this week as we would love to see him get Rashid Shaheed back, but it's not totally essential. Remember, 300 yards with one score and one pick is still 21 DK points, so it's about the value and who else you can put into your lineups around him.

RBAlvin KamaraCAR @ NO Sun 1:0082009000

We could be looking at Kamara once again this week, but for slightly different reasons. We know Winston doesn't like to check it down, but with Carolina getting their secondary back to full-health, we could see a stronger rushing presence this week as they have routinely been soft against the run. Not only are the Panthers allowing 125.2 rushing yards per game, but they've coughed up 20 rushing touchdowns this season, the most allowed in the NFL this season. We'll have to see how much work Jamaal Williams could get in this match-ip as well, but Kamara is their lead back and he should thrive.

RBAustin Ekeler76007500

Similar thoughts for Ekeler as we had for Herbert. We know the production has been bad and anyone who listened to me back in the preseason already knows how Kellen Moore's scheme doesn't cater to the pass-catching running backs. Just ask this guy. But the Chargers know they need to get back on-track after some horrendous showings on offense and with their receiving corps struggling, they're going to have to get Ekeler more involved. Look for him to run more routes and watch as Herbert tries to get him the ball out in space more. The Broncos rank 19th in DVOA against running back-pass-plays so there is vulnerability. We're not locked onto the play, but he is definitely going to be a contrarian move.

RBIsiah PachecoBUF @ KC Sun 4:2567007000

The Bills rank 22nd in DVOA against the run and are allowing an average of 116.7 rushing yards per game. Pacheco has been a beast since coming back from the Week 10 bye, averaging 17 carries for 85 yards per game with three touchdowns and has also turned 10 targets into nine catches for 49 yards as well. He is developing into that every-down back Andy Reid covets and with the way things have gone for the Chiefs passing game in recent weeks, it wouldn't surprise anyone to see a strong lean on Pacheco to open the game and hopefully prevent this one from turning into a shootout.

RBJoe MixonHOU @ NYJ Sun 1:0061007200

I'm not sure why we get the discounted price here for Mixon, especially on DK when he's been catching more passes since Jake Browning took over. Good for us, though as we've been targeting against the Colts run defense all year. They allow the seventh-most rushing yards per game and have allowed 17 rushing touchdowns on the year. Most will start to flock to the passing attack, but Mixon is going to be the Bengals' bread and butter this week.

RBZack MossIND @ CIN Sun 1:0059006800

He was the discounted chalk-play everyone used in their lineups last week and failed to deliver strong totals. Not that it matters when a guy has 95-percent ownership, but now that the price has gone up, it's a matter of going back to the well and forgetting about last week's humdrum stat line. The Bengals are allowing the sixth-most rushing yards per game and have allowed 14 rushing touchdowns on the year. The Colts are just one game behind the Jaguars in the AFC South and smell blood in the water. Expect them to lean heavily on Moss to set the tone for the game and watch how things develop from there.

RBDevin SingletaryGB @ NYG Mon 8:1557005800

There's a little bloom off the rose here as Dameon Pierce not only returned to action but also found his way into the end zone. Perhaps getting Singletary at a discounted rate and at low-ownership is a way to go this week, especially against a Jets defense that has routinely been soft against the run. While they've only allowed seven rushing touchdowns this season, they're allowing the fourth-most rushing yards per game and rank 22nd in DVOA against running back pass-plays. Houston's passing game has struggle on the road before and there is both rain and 20mph winds expected on Sunday as of right now, so keep a watchful eye on this situation.

With Allen running nearly 60-percent of his snaps out of the slot, we aren't going to worry about him squaring off with Patrick Surtain. Not that the match-up against Ja'Quan McMillian is all that great, but given me the veteran wideout against a second-year slot-corner any day. Allen is a target-monster and with the rest of the Chargers receiving corps struggling, he should see more than enough volume to pay off this hefty price tag.

We can talk about how great the Falcons cover-corners are, but we've not only seen them get beat deep, we've also seen Evans rack up 82 yards and a score on six catches against them earlier in the season. Including that game back in Week 7, Evans has averaged five catches for 89 yards and one touchdown per game. Yeah, seven touchdowns over his last seven games. How do we not lock him into our lineups at this point?

WRDeebo SamuelSEA @ SF Sun 4:0568007500

The contrarian move will be to go with Brandon Aiyuk, but seeing as how these two teams played just two weeks ago and Deebo was the focal point – seven catches for 79 yards with 15 rushing yards and a touchdown – how do we not look at him again in this match-up? Maybe Shanahan tries to outsmart Pete Carroll, but Deebo's ability to rack up significant yards after the catch is the allure. He's been a beast over these last two weeks and there is no reason to believe he can't duplicate the success. It will just be a matter of how much they put the ball into his hands.

WRDJ MooreDET @ CHI Sun 1:0065007700

The last time these teams squared off, it was Fields' first game back from the thumb injury and he and Moore looked like old pals who have been playing together for years. Moore racked up 96 yards and a touchdown on seven catches and he and Fields are already back in a rhythm we covet in DFS. Last week it was 11 catches for 114 yards, so expect the two to lock in together as the Bears look to play spoilers and expose the Lions' coverage shortcomings. They may only be allowing 230 passing yards per game, but they've given up 20 touchdowns through the air so we expect that number to rise after this week.

Olave cleared concussion protocol last week and racked up his second-straight 100-yard game and he has two touchdowns in his last four. Even with a switch at quarterback, he should continue to see the lions' share of the targets and work over this Carolina secondary. They did just get back Jaycee Horn and Jeremy Chinn, so we're going to dive in even deeper over the next few days, but if the Saints are in a pass-heavy mode at any point, Olave will be the beneficiary.

Joe Lombardi's offense will be in full bloom against the team that let him go and that means a boatload of targets funneled Sutton's way. We identified him as a breakout candidate this year in this system and he's already at a career-high nine touchdowns and is just 63 receiving yards away from cashing that ticket for those who bet the over on his receiving yards prop this season. The Chargers rank 28th in DVOA against the opposing WR1 and are allowing an average of 90 receiving yards per game to them. I expect to see a strong game from Sutton this week and will have him locked into both cash and GPP lineups.

The defense's primary focus will be on stopping Davante Adams, but the Vikings should probably pay more attention to Meyers who has been a champ for Aidan O'Connell with the short, high-percentage passing. The Vikings rank 26th in DVOA against the opposing WR2 and Meyers should be a focal point to help move the chains. We also saw him get into the end zone right before the bye week, so look for that to continue. With the extra week to prepare, The Raiders offense should be able to put some points up on Minnesota's defense.

WRTee HigginsIND @ CIN Sun 1:0059006300

You can expect the Colts to float a ton of safety help over Ja'Marr Chase's way in this match-up which should help free up Higgins for more one-on-one coverage. That will work beautifully, especially with the way we've been targeting against their soft outside coverage all season long. Jake Browning looked a lot more comfortable in his win over the Jaguars on Monday and while we're not going to sell the farm to cheer him on, he should still be solid enough to get Higgins the ball when necessary.

WRNoah Brown50006000

Well here you go, people. Here's your precious Noah Brown back on the field and ready to get back into your lineups. It only took a season-ending injury to Tank Dell to make it happen, but better late than never, right? We'll watch the weather in this one, but we all know the Jets are vulnerable to slot receivers with neither Sauce Gardner nor D.J. Reed moving in to cover the slot. Michael Carter II isn't the worst in the world, but he also doesn't have the speed to keep pace with Brown. If the Texans shorten up the passing game due to wind and weather, Brown could be in line for a heavy workload this week.

WRMarquez Valdes-ScantlingCAR @ NO Sun 1:0030005200

No one is going to play this guy. No one. And why would they after watching him drop back-to-back touchdown catches over the last two weeks? OK, maybe the last one wasn't entirely his fault, but the first one is still fresh in everyone's minds. But we all know Buffalo is struggling with their outside coverage and they actually rank dead-last in DVOA against the opposing WR2. The price tag is fantastic and while we will only look at MVS for GPP lineups, it should be a spectacular payoff. Just ask Richard from Chicago who you probably heard on Tuesday's Fantasy Alarm Show on SiriusXM.

Welcome back from your bye week, TJ.. Oh, how we've missed you. The match-up here is absolutely fantastic as the Raiders rank 28th in DVOA against the tight end and have allowed an average of 51.3 receiving yards per game to them. The QB situation is a little tenuous as Joshua Dobbs hasn't been as strong as the team has wanted, but no matter whether it's Dobbs or Nick Mullen under center, Hockenson is going to be a premium target.

TEIsaiah LikelyLA @ BAL Sun 1:0035005200

He's on the cover for a reason, people! Now, we will have to keep tabs on the weather as there is rain and wind in the forecast, but even if that shortens up the passing game, Likely will be heavily targeted as he assumes the Mark Andrews role. The Rams have been horrendous against the tight end this year, ranking 29th in DVOA against the position and allowing an average of 61.5 receiving yards per game to them. They are also allowing the third-most fantasy points per game to the tight end so that bodes even better for us.

If the Chargers are going to make a late-season push, they are going to have to increase the workload for Everett while they struggle to find healthy and competent receivers to surround Keen Allen, Everett is in a great spot as the Broncos still rank dead-last in DVOA against the tight end and allow the second-most fantasy points per game to the position. The Falcons continue to funnel everything to the middle of the field and that should significantly benefit Otton who sees 95-percent of the snaps and has been routinely targeted both inside and outside the red zone. Here's your dart-throw, at least for right now. Granson sees about a 35-40-percent snap share and he is routinely targeted in the passing game. What we have to watch is the routes run between him and Will Mallory who has actually seen seven targets to just four for Granson over the last two games. We'll speak to Coop, our resident TE Whisperer to see what he says about the split, but both are so cheap, we may just throw darts at both of them.

With everyone looking at Hockenson, Likely and even Sam LaPorta, this could be the under-the-radar play we need this week.

Weather: Mostly sunny

The Falcons continue to funnel everything to the middle of the field and that should significantly benefit Otton who sees 95-percent of the snaps and has been routinely targeted both inside and outside the red zone. With Chris Godwin still banged up and the other receivers still trying to prove themselves, we could see a nice lean here, especially when Atlanta is allowing the fifth-most fantasy points per game to the tight end.
