And just like that, we are already into Week 2 of the 2024 NFL season and that brings us another opportunity to dominate our NFL DFS contests. What better way to dominate than to start the research early with the best NFL DFS Week 2 Watch List?

After checking out all the DFS positional coaches, the NFL DFS Playbook with Example Lineups and all the other fantastic content we have here on Fantasy Alarm, it was a strong and lucrative week for the #FAmily. No, no one crushed the Milly Maker or took down the Sunday Million, but our cash-play was 100-percent on-point. And that’s what you want.

Your cash-game play should keep you afloat and cover any potential GPP losses. You go high-floor players in cash, and you swing for the fences in GPP tournaments. Eventually, your good days are going to become great days and then you’ll even splash in some phenomenal days too.

Best NFL DFS Week 2 Watch List For 2024

Not that we have one week of football officially in the books, we can start to identify some of the strengths and weaknesses of each team. Did a team’s run defense look particularly bad, so much so that we will be able to attack it this week? What about coverage schemes and packages? Do we know where the defensive shortcomings are in secondaries across the league?

On the offensive side, it is important to track things like target distribution, run defenses that give up chunk-yardage plays and, of course, which quarterbacks are throwing the ball the most. These are the questions we as analysts are continually asking ourselves and our research, by the end of the week, gives the answers to those questions. So, let’s take a look at some of my favorite players who belong on the best NFL DFS Week 2 Watch List.

Top DraftKings DFS Week 2 Watch List

Jayden Daniels, QB Washington Commanders ($6,200)

It certainly wasn’t the prettiest of games for Daniels last week, but a debut on the road against Tampa Bay is a much tougher match-up than a home start against the Giants. New York may have only allowed 201 yards through the air, but Sam Darnold looked efficient and posted a 113.2 QB rating which was the fifth-highest across the league. The rushing upside certainly helps, so if he can get on the same page as his receivers, it could be a raucous home start.

J.K. Dobbins, RB Los Angeles Chargers ($5,400)

You have to love what you saw rom Dobbins and his price tag on DraftKings certainly helps open things up for lineup possibilities. The Chargers offensive line looks string, and the holes should open up nicely against a tomato-can defense like that of the Panthers. He is also the guy on the field for the passing work and gets solid red zone opportunities. Will he do to Carolina what Alvin Kamara did last week? There’s certainly potential.

Cooper Kupp, WR Los Angeles Rams ($7,600)

Ain’t it great when no analysis is even needed? With the injury to Puka Nacua, there are no questions as to who is going to see the majority of targets. Josh Allen spread the ball around against the Cardinals and tossed for 232 yards. Matthew Stafford has a lot more focus on his primary target, so if he’s throwing for what Allen threw for, we could be looking at another double-digit target, 100-yard effort from Kupp.

Brock Bowers, TE Las Vegas Raiders ($4,400)

While in-line Michael Mayer saw almost as many snaps as Bowers, it was the rookie who garnered eight targets and hauled in six for 58 yards. The Raiders are going to look to him as the secondary target to Davante Adams and he’ll take on a Ravens defense that, through Week 1, ranked 30th in DVOA against the position, allowing Travis Kelce and Noa Gray to combine for seven catches for 71 yards.

Best FanDuel DFS Week 2 Watch List

Anthony Richardson, QB Indianapolis Colts ($8,500)

We are happily going right back to the well with Richardson, especially in this matchup against the Packers who got run all over by Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts. The Eagles found tremendous success in the RPO work which tells me we are likely to see similar things with Richardson and Jonathan Taylor. If you’re paying up on FanDuel, this is the way.

Jordan Mason, RB San Francisco 49ers ($5,500)

Well of course we’re going to keep Mason on the Watch List as we don’t know if Christian McCaffrey will be back on the field for Week 2. Mason looked outstanding against the Jets, carrying the ball a whopping 28 times for 147 yards and a touchdown and now he’ll face the Vikings who still gave up 74 rushing yards last week to a Giants team that couldn’t run their way out of a paper bag.

Don’t worry about the DVOA metrics that say Minnesota has a great run defense, because that’ just based on them facing Devin Singletary who only had 10 carries all game and finished with just 37 of those 74 rushing yards.

Malik Nabers, WR New York Giants ($6,400)

Speaking of the Giants, we cannot ignore the matchup here for Nabers who will get Benjamin St-Juste opposite him throughout the game. St-Juste is one of the worst cover guys in the game and got waxed by Mike Evans on the regular. Nabers is faster and can also get physical when necessary. Love this price tag too!

Travis Kelce, TE Kansas City Chiefs ($7,400)

People are going to be gun-shy about paying up at the position after last week and that’s exactly what we want. Give me Kelce against a struggling Cincinnati team that ranked 19th against the position and allowed almost 50 yards to the position last week. Kelce is going to turn things out in this one and you’re going to get him at lower ownership than usual.
