NFL DFS Week 11 RB Coach: Jonathan Taylor, Christian McCaffrey, Joe Mixon
Published: Nov 13, 2024
Welcome to the NFL DFS Week 11 RB Coach article! Week 10 was a bit of a mixed bag for the NFL DFS RB Coach.
My recommendations for starting Bijan Robinson and Chuba Hubbard were on the mark as they led the way with huge weeks. The New York Giants stink but starting Tyrone Tracy was a good call and should be a good NFL DFS value play after his Week 11 bye.
NFL DFS Week 11 RB Coach For FanDuel & DraftKings Fantasy
Unfortunately, Alvin Kamara, Saquon Barkley, and J.K. Dobbins failed to earn their Week 10 NFL DFS salaries.
Let’s move forward with the NFL DFS Week 11 RB Coach and get some backs who will earn their salaries and that can help us win some cash this week.
NFL Week 11 RBs
The New York Giants, Arizona Cardinals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers are all on a bye in Week 11 and that somewhat limits the NFL DFS RB landscape however, there’s still plenty of RB talent that we can insert into our DFS lineups.
I’d love to be able to confidently put a Kansas City Chiefs running back into my lineup in Week 11. They’ve got a great matchup against the Buffalo Bills but with Isiah Pacheco designated to return from injured reserve this week I’m not sure if he’ll play, and if he does, we don’t know how much that would affect Kareem Hunt’s fantasy productivity.
I’m also leery of inserting James Cook, Chase Brown and Tony Pollard into the NFL DFS Week 11 RB Coach. They’re all NFL DFS RBs I usually consider starting in DFS, but I don’t like their Week 11 matchups.
Fear not because there are several running backs in this NFL DFS Week 11 RB Coach who have good matchups that you should consider using in your DFS lineups. These are a few of my favorites and I hope that by the end of Week 11 they’ll be your favorites as well.
NFL DFS RB Top-Tier Picks For Week 11
Christian McCaffrey, RB San Francisco 49ers - DraftKings: $8,300 | FanDuel: $9,800
McCaffrey’s stats in Week 10 weren’t what we’re used to seeing from him, but the important thing is that he played 88% of the 49ers offensive snaps. I’m ready to put McCaffrey in my NFL DFS lineups and in Week 11, he’s matched up against a Seattle Seahawks team that he has owned throughout his career.
In five career games against the Seahawks McCaffrey has seven total TDs, and he has averaged 5.97 YPC against them. The Seahawks have been very accommodating to NFL DFS RBs this season and have given up the seventh most overall rushing yards (1,111) to the position and allowed 5.05 YPC to the position as well.
Joe Mixon, RB Houston Texans - DraftKings: $7,700 | FanDuel: $9,300
There are some teams that NFL DFS RBs feast on and Mixon’s Week 11 opponent, the Dallas Cowboys, are one of them. In their last four games the Cowboys have given up the ninth most rushing yards to NFL DFS RBs and they’ve allowed them to gain 4.73 YPC.
Mixon has been on fire lately, scoring seven total TDs (at least one per game) over the past five weeks. He also has rushed for at least 102 yards in four of those five games.
NFL DFS RB Mid-Tier Picks For Week 11
De'Von Achane, RB Miami Dolphins - DraftKings: $7,200 | FanDuel: $8,700
With Raheem Mostert being used mostly on passing downs in Week 10 after a bout of fumblilitis over the past few weeks, it looks like Achane is now the Dolphins’ lead back. Head coach Mike McDaniel has been known to change his RB utilization of his NFL DFS RBs from week to week and sometimes he’s made in-game changes as well, so let’s see if Achane keeps the lead role for the long term.
McDaniel told the media that he changed up the RB utilization in Week 10 due to a specific game plan but I guess we’ll see how things shake out moving forward. Despite the change in RB usage last week Achane still managed to snag five catches against the Rams. Overall Achane has certainly earned his larger role in the Dolphins’ backfield.
He hasn’t fumbled once this season and Achane is averaging 5.62 YPC in his last five games. He also has 22 catches for 130 yards and 3 total TDs during that time span. Achane has a good matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 11 and they’ve been better at defending against the run of late, but for the season they’re giving up 4.64 YPC and 10 total TDs to NFL DFS RBs.
Jahmyr Gibbs, RB Detroit Lions - DraftKings: $7,000 | FanDuel: $7,800
Gibbs has quietly enjoyed a very good season so far. Despite sharing the Lions’ backfield with David Montgomery, Gibbs is the NFL’s sixth leading NFL DFS RB with 727 rushing yards. In nine games Gibbs is averaging 5.96 YPC and he has scored eight total TDs.
The Lions run the ball 51.09% of the time, fourth most in the NFL, and that should help Gibbs have another big game in Week 11. He has a favorable matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars who have given up 4.65 YPC and the most rushing yards (460) to NFL DFS RBs over the past three weeks.
Josh Jacobs, RB Green Bay Packers - DraftKings: $7,100 | FanDuel: $7,400
The Packers have been relying on their running game more this season compared to last (49.04% percentage of rushing plays compared to 42.98 last season) and Jacobs has averaged 17.4 carries per game in his last five matchups.
During that time frame he’s averaging 4.98 YPC and he’s scored four total TDs. He takes on the Chicago Bears who have given up the 11th most rushing yards to NFL DFS RBs (1011 yards in nine games). In addition, NFL DFS RBs are averaging 4.89 YPC against the Bears this season.
NFL DFS RB Value Picks For Week 11
Nick Chubb, RB Cleveland Browns - DraftKings: $6,000 | FanDuel: $6,200
Chubb has failed me in the recent past, but he has a great matchup against the New Orleans Saints, coming off his Week 10 bye. The Saints have given up the sixth most rushing yards (1133) and the second most rushing TDs (12) to NFL DFS RBs this season.
Chubb has averaged 14 carries and a pedestrian 2.69 YPC in his first three games of the season but he is poised to have a breakout week against a Saints team that has given up 5.17 YPC to NFL DFS RBs this season.
Audric Estime, RB Denver Broncos - DraftKings: $4,500 | FanDuel: $5,400
This recommendation isn’t for the faint of heart and while it may be super risky, it looks like you’re getting an NFL DFS RB who appears to be his team’s RB1 at a big discount.
Broncos head coach Sean Payton had hinted that Estime would get more touches as the season progressed and in Week 10, he led the team’s RBs in carries and offensive snaps played. It’s possible that Payton may decide to pivot from the way he used his NFL DFS RBs in Week 10 mid-game against the Atlanta Falcons this week, especially if Estime gets off to a slow start.
However, if you need a cheap option at the NFL DFS RB spot that likely won’t get you a big fat zero for the week, you can probably do worse than to use Estime. His matchup against the Falcons isn’t great, but it isn’t terrible. They’ve given up 4.49 YPC to NFL DFS RBs over their last three games.
NFL DFS RB Fades For Week 11
Brian Robinson, RB Washington Commanders - DraftKings: $6,300 | FanDuel: $7,700
Robinson Jr. has been dealing with a hamstring injury that kept him out of his last two matchups and as this article is being written his Week 11 availability for Thursday night’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles is not known.
Even if he is able to play this week, I’m fading Robinson Jr. against an Eagles team that has tightened up their run defense lately. In their last five games the Eagles have given up the fourth fewest rushing yards (301) and just 3.76 YPC to NFL DFS RBs. If Robinson Jr. is inactive in Week 11, I’d fade his handcuff, Austin Ekeler ($6100 DK/$7300 FD), as well.
NFL Week 11 RB Play Of The Week
Jonathan Taylor, RB Indianapolis Colts - DraftKings: $7,600 | FanDuel: $8,400
Since returning to action in Week 8 after missing three games due to a high ankle sprain, Taylor has averaged 18 carries per game and 4.94 YPC. He faces a New York Jets team whose season is on life support and whose run defense has been terrible all season.
In their last five games the Jets have given up the sixth most rushing yards (586) to NFL DFS RBs. In addition, NFL DFS RBs have also scored five rushing TDs against “Gang Green” during that time span.
