NFL DFS Week 13 QB Coach: Jalen Hurts, C.J. Stroud, Stafford

Week 13 of the NFL season has arrived and we are back to the 10 game main slate on DraftKings and 11 game main slate on FanDuel.

Fresh off Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday games we have an exciting slate with a lot of top QB options to build our lineups around which includes a headlining matchup between Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts as the Ravens take on the Eagles.

As with every week, this week, we once again look to take advantage of some top matchups for our NFL DFS Week 13 QB coach as I bring you my NFL DFS Week 13 QB coach top targets, values and fades to build your lineups around this weekend.

NFL DFS Week 12 QB Coach Recap

We hit a home run with Jayden Daniels, Patrick Mahomes and Caleb Williams. We once again nailed the fade of Jordan Love but less than stellar results om the mid-tier with Goff, Murray and Smith all putting up disappointing performances. 

NFL DFS QB Top Tier Picks For Week 13

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens - DraftKings: $8,000  | FanDuel: $8,700

The Eagles have a good defense, a strong defensive line and a secondary that is improving each week. These two offenses really mirror one another with mobile QB's, an elite rushing attack and some playmakers at wide receiver. Sometimes this can be a bad thing with a defense that is use to practicing against this style of offense but Jackson has been so elite this season that his ability to make plays and stretch defenses who also need to worry about being hammered by Derrick Henry will continue to provide him opportunities to score points.

Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles -  DraftKings: $7,700  | FanDuel: $9,200

The rushing touchdown upside is always the appeal with Jalen Hurts as no QB has more rushing touchdowns and very few running backs have as many rushing touchdowns as Jalen Hurts has over the last few seasons.

Defenses also need to worry about Saquon Barkley running for 200 yards and AJ Brown stretching the secondary with his big play capabilites.

This should be a really fun game to watch with two of the elite offenses in the NFL.

NFL DFS QB Mid-Tier Picks For NFL Week 13

Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers - DraftKings: $6,600 | FanDuel: $8,500

Mayfield was actually really good last weekend but when it came to scoring touchdowns we saw the running backs get all the glory. This week could be much of the same against the Carolina Panthers but we also know that the Panthers give up a ton of yardage through the air. If Mayfield can convert a few touchdown passes this week he could put up a big score.

C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans - DraftKings: $6,400 | FanDuel: $8,000

Another one of those weeks where we ask ourselves, “if not now, then when?” with C.J. Stroud. The Jaguars pass defense is the worst in football. We just saw Jared Goff pick this defense apart a few weeks back and Stroud has a healthy Nico Collins and Tank Dell at his disposal. If not now, then when?

Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals - DraftKings: $6,100 | FanDuel: $7,700

What a sad performance from Murray last week but I'm willing to go right back to the well this week against the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings pass defense is not very good as we saw last week when Caleb Williams threw all over them. We also add in the rushing upside for Kyler and there's a good chance for another 20+ fantasy point performance.

NFL Week 13 DFS QB Value Picks

Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers - DraftKings: $5,500 | FanDuel: $7,900

Herbert is currently projected to be the highest rostered QB on the slate, nearly 2x more than the next QB. Now, this could change as we get closer to roster lock but everyone is buying in here against the Atlanta Falcons. The Chargers are without JK Dobbins this week which could force the Chargers into throwing the football a bit more than usual. We also have to love the rushing upside we've seen from Herbert of late with the Chargers QB adding a rushing touchdown in two of the last three  games.

Drake Maye, New England Patriots - DraftKings: $5,600 | FanDuel: $6,800

Another week where the Patriots are expected to be competitive and therefore Drake Maye is getting some ownership love. Yes, he is mobile and has some nice rushing upside and the Colts defense is not good against the pass or the run. The lack of elite receivers always limits his upside but if Maye can get us 50+ yards rushing we only need 200 yards and a score for him to hit value.

Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers - DraftKings: $4,600 | FanDuel: $6,600

Listen, this isn't the first time Young has made the QB coach as the former top overall pick is actually starting to look a bit better. The Panthers nearly beat the Chiefs last week and Young put up nearly 16 fantasy points which is more than enough at his $4,600 price tag.

This week the Panthers face off against a Buccaneers defense that has struggled against the pass this season and getting a healthy Adam Thielen and an emerging Xavier Leggette is only going to help Young be better.

NFL DFS QB Fades For Week 13

Kirk Cousins, Atlanta Falcons - DraftKings: $6,000 | FanDuel: $6,900

Cousins has been good, not great this season. Is big fantasy weeks came in two games against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and now coming into this week against the Chargers he has both Darnell Mooney and Drake London coming in a bit beat up. The Chargers have a good pass rush and a good secondary. This is a fade spot for me.

NFL Week 13 QB Play Of The Week

Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams - DraftKings: $6,100 | FanDuel: $7,400

I love this price for Stafford on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Having a healthy Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp is an an absolute game changer and the fantasy production has shown with Stafford throwing six touchdowns over the last two weeks.

The Saints pass defense is pretty bad and trading Marshon Lattimore did them no favors either.

Give me Stafford this week as my top per dollar QB play.
