NFL Week 7 Picks Straight Up, Odds for All 15 Games & Spread Picks

Only two teams have a bye this week which means we have a total of 15 matchups on the Week 7 slate! That’s plenty of chances for us to come through with our selections this time out! It’s once again a loaded schedule, although two of the three primetime games are rather undesirable from a spectating point of view.
During the day on Sunday though, we get to watch Detroit and Minnesota battle for NFC North supremacy, the Eagles and Giants battle in a hard-fought divisional contest and, of course, the Super Bowl rematch from last year when the Chiefs meet with the 49ers!
Enough with the preview though; it’s time to tap into my official NFL Week 7 picks.

NFL Week 7 Early Spread Picks & Predictions
Eagles vs. Giants Spread Pick: Sunday, October 20th
We get an NFC East contest in this one, and I believe the Giants have a solid chance to cover the +3-point spread against the Eagles in Week 7, for a few main reasons.
Even though the Eagles have a more well-rounded offense, the Giants excel at controlling the clock, ranking 3rd in time of possession with 32:39. This gives them a leg up in limiting the Eagles' chances. Plus, the Giants are 5th in passing attempts per game at 36.7, showing they’re still looking to make plays through the air, even if their effectiveness doing so isn’t quite what they want.
Their defense is also pretty good at keeping things close, allowing just 20.2 points per game, which puts them at 9th in the league. On top of that, they’ve managed to hold opponents to only 197.7 passing yards per game, ranking 12th, which could really help in countering the Eagles' aerial game.
With their knack for long drives and keeping the score tight, the Giants are in a good spot to stay within that 3-point spread. I also look at last week’s games, and the Giants played well against the Bengals whereas the Eagles played poorly against the Browns.
Chiefs vs. 49ers Spread Pick: Sunday, October 20th
In my opinion, the Chiefs are looking pretty solid to cover the +1.5 spread and snag a win against the 49ers in their Week 7 Super Bowl rematch. Kansas City's defense has been impressive, giving up only 17 points per game, which puts them 6th in the league.
This will be crucial for slowing down San Francisco’s explosive offense that averages 27 points per game, ranking 8th. Plus, the Chiefs boast a top-10 rushing defense, limiting opponents to just 88.4 yards per game (5th), which is essential when facing the 49ers’ 3rd-ranked rushing attack.
On the offensive side, Kansas City can match San Francisco's firepower, averaging 236.8 passing yards per game (9th), while the 49ers' defense has had a tougher time against the pass, allowing 215.2 yards per game. This San Fran team just isn’t the same without CMC, and I think KC comes out on top.

Player News
Bills waived TE Armani Rogers.
This is unfortunate. Rogers recently ruptured his Achilles tendon for the second time in three years. He showed promise as a 2022 rookie, earning a 65.3 PFF receiving grade and a 68.0 PFF run-blocking grade, but the injuries are taking their toll. The Bills also released DT Branson Deen.
Titans waived OT Nicholas Petit-Frere.
The team signed C Sam Mustipher and OT Oli Udoh in corresponding moves. Petit-Frere failed to meet expectations after the Titans spent a third-round pick on him in 2022, allowing 35-plus quarterback pressures in 2-of-3 NFL seasons.
Cowboys signed OL Hakeem Adeniji, formerly of the Browns, to a contract.
The former 2020 sixth-round pick last took regular season snaps in 2022. Adeniji spent the 2023 season serving as a part-time special teams player, and although he was technically on the Browns’ 2024 roster, he missed the full season on injured reserve. Adeniji will likely handle a deep-backup/special teams role in Dallas this year.
Free agent QB Aaron Rodgers said on The Pat McAfee Show that he is currently focusing on matters in his personal life while mulling his future in the NFL.
In a wide-ranging discussion with McAfee, Rodgers said that he is still contemplating whether to play in 2025 or retire this offseason, though he has settled on a $10 million asking price, should he choose to stick around. Rodgers repeatedly, yet ambiguously, emphasized that caring for troubled members of his “inner circle” has been his offseason priority. Rodgers spoke positively of his recent visit with the Steelers, praising head coach Mike Tomlin, OC Arthur Smith, GM Omar Khan, QB coach Tom Arth and WR DK Metcalf, whom he called “a specimen” and a “great dude.” Rodgers downplayed reports about pitching Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell on a union, saying much ado has been made about two old “friends” remaining in regular contact. The free agent QB also notably complimented Giants head coach Brian Daboll’s “beautiful football mind” but kept Giants-talk relatively succinct. Rodgers made clear that the rapidly approaching 2025 NFL Draft will have no bearing on his decision-making timeline, and he understands if the Steelers determine that they must move on without him. In short, it appears as though Rodgers will either sign with the Steelers or move on from football. The enigmatic quarterback gave few indications as to which direction he is leaning.
FOX NFL’s Jordan Schultz reports “interested teams believe Philadelphia would be open to future picks” for TE Dallas Goedert.
Goedert has become a popular trade candidate in the rumor mill. He is on the final year of his current contract and is undoubtedly looking for a new deal. The Eagles, on the other hand, haven’t made much noise about extending him and have generally tried to get out ahead of new contracts in recent years. The timing of this report suggests the Eagles are still trying to field offers for Goedert and the price may be dropping.
Browns GM Andrew Berry said Alabama QB Jalen Milroe has “rare physical talent.”
Berry continued with his praise of Milroe’s physical traits, saying he is maybe the only quarterback faster than Lamar Jackson. Milroe ran for 729 yards and a jaw-dropping 20 touchdowns in his final season at Alabama. Though the Browns don’t appear to be taking a quarterback with the No. 2 overall pick, they are up again at No. 33 and could even package that selection with another pick to get back into the first round. The Browns have held visits with all of the major quarterback prospects, including Milroe. They currently have Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett on the roster, neither of whom is a long-term option.
