NFL Week 12 Best Bets and Prop Bets

NFL Week 12 betting got off to a real nice start for us with the Thanksgiving Day slate and after ignoring the New York Jets/Miami Dolphins game on Black Friday, we're ready to get back to our football bets this week. Hopefully, by the time you've opened this article, you've studies the NFL Injury Report and checked out all the Fantasy Alarm content pertinent to laying some action on games this weekend. It's very important that you stay completely up to date on all the latest NFL news so you don't miss anything and end up making the wrong bets. I literally just had a conversation with someone who was asking about Puka Nacua prop bets and had no idea that Cooper Kupp was expected back this week. I'm not sure I understand why you would put your hard-earned dollars on the line without doing the proper research. I do it before I post my picks here, but I'm also not making picks for every single game, so do yourself a favor and keep up to date with everything. You'll be a better bettor in the end.
NFL Week 12 Best Bets
Carolina Panthers vs Tennessee Titans
It's a battle of bottom-feeders here as the one-win Panthers head into Tennessee to take on the 3-7 Titans. Yes, it can be a dangerous proposition to bet on bad teams, but this is more about me betting on Mike Vrabel than it is on the actual players. Vrabel has been an outstanding coach and typically gets the most out of his players. He's had some quarterback issues and injuries on both sides of the ball, but I'm looking at him in a home game he does not want to lose. You can say that about any coach, but Vrabel is one of those “no one comes into our house and pushes us around” guys and that should play this week. It also helps that the Titans are 3-1 at home this season and 3-1 against the spread in those games. I think he gets his team back to the basics and we see a heavy run scheme with a lean on those players who have performed well for him in the past, i.e. Derrick Henry.
Pick: Titans -3.5 (-110)
New England Patriots vs New York Giants
Remember last week when we were laughing at the low game totl for the Cleveland Browns/Pittsburgh Steelers game and how we were still so bullish on the under? Yeah, we're all about that again here. Bill Belichick knows all of Brian Daboll's tendencies and there is just no way his scheme doesn't tear apart Tommy DeVito. He'll also focus on stopping Saquon Barkley. As for the Patriots offense, we still don't know if it's Mac Jones or Bailey Zappe under center. Not that it really matters as we expect them to have difficulty scoring no matter who plays.
Pick: Patriots/Giants under 34 (-110)
Los Angeles Rams vs Arizona Cardinals
We've got an innovative coach in Sean McVay and a healthy Matthew Stafford with all of his weapons at his disposal, including the return of Kyren Williams. Cooper Kupp (ankle) is expected to play and Puka Nacua was removed from the injury report. The Cardinals defense is absolutely atrocious and even though head coach Jonathan Gannon is a bit of a defensive wizard, he just doesn't have the personnel to shut down this Rams offense. On the other side, Kyler Murray looks rock-solid in his return and while they're a little banged-up in the receiving corps, Murray will still have Trey McBride, Greg Dortch and Marquise Brown to target. Not to mention James Conner to fall back on. I originally bet the over when it was at 44.5 and it's now gone up to 45.5. I'm still good betting that over.
Pick: Rams/Cardinals over 45.5 (-110)
Buffalo Bills vs Philadelphia Eagles
We've got a potential Super Bowl match-up here between the Bills and Eagles and while I usually just like to watch games like this and not worry about betting it, I've decided to throw a unit down and have some skin in the game. I have a feeling most will look to the Eagles after logging a road win against the Chiefs, but if you actually watched that game you probably know that they should have lost. Patrick Mahomes was en route to bringing them back and if it wasn't for a series of drops, the Chiefs would have won. I'm not a fan of this Eagles secondary and now that Joe Brady is the one calling the offensive shots for Buffalo, I am much more bullish on their passing attack. Buffalo is not in as bad of shape as some might think and I love getting points here.
Pick: Buffalo Bills +3 (-110)
Favorite NFL Week 12 Player Props:
- Travis Etienne over 64.5 rushing yards (-115)
- C.J. Stroud over 35.5 pass attempts (-125)
- Kyle Pitts over 34.5 receiving yards (-115)
- Rhamondre Stevenson over 58.5 rushing yards (-115)

Player News
Eagles waived QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson.
Even with the injury to Tanner McKee (thumb), the Eagles feel confident enough in their depth at quarterback to let Thompson-Robinson hit the waiver wire. It’s certainly feasible that the team could bring back DTR on the practice squad, but it’s just as likely that he’ll be looking for a new organization.
Bears placed CB Terell Smith on injured reserve with a knee injury.
We already knew Smith would miss the 2025 season, but this move makes it official. It’s a terribly unfortunate development for the talented former fifth-round pick. The Bears waived LB Swayze Bozeman, OL Chris Glaser, TE Thomas Gordon, S Mark Perry and DB Jeremiah Walker.
Patriots waived OL Layden Robinson with an injury designation.
Robinson was the fourth-round pick of the Patriots in 2024, but the former Texas A&M standout was unable to stay on the field in his brief time with New England. He could be a candidate for the practice squad if he goes unclaimed/doesn’t find a new job on a 53-man roster.
Browns waived TE Sal Cannella.
Cannella thrived in the UFL over the last two seasons, but didn’t produce enough in the preseason to justify a roster spot; at least to the Browns. Along with Cannella, Cleveland also waived CB Chigozie Anusiem, G Javion Cohen, T Sebastian Gutierrez, DE K.J. Henry, DT Ralph Holley, CB Christian Holmes, CB Keenan Isaac, T Jason Ivey, DE Titus Le, LB Marvin Moody, CB Darius Rush, LB Charlie Thomas III, T Lorenzo Thompson, G Dartanyan Tinsley, TE Mitchell Van Vooren and C Bucky Williams.
Bills released DB Tre Herndon.
Herndon took preseason snaps with both the Bills and Colts this month. He spent the 2018-2023 seasons with the Jaguars, after signing on with them as an undrafted free agent.
Vikings waived WR Silas Bolden.
Even with the Vikings in need of receiving bodies, Bolden didn’t do enough in camp to justify a roster spot. The Vikings also waived CB Reddy Steward, CB Keenan Garber, RB Tre Stewart, S Mishael Powell, T Logan Brown, OL Zach Bailey, WR Robert Lewis and DL Travis Bell.
