NFL Week 18 has finally arrived and with it comes the end of NFL confidence pools and regular season pick ‘em contests. Just one more week to make your picks straight up -- without any “against the spread” feelings or issues. Setting up your Week 18 picks is 100-percent dependent on where you sit in the overall standings. If you are sitting inside the contest’s cash line, then you probably want to stay a little chalky with your picks in an effort to maintain your place in the standings. There is no need to take any big risks. If you are way outside the cash line and your contest offers a prize for a weekly high score, then you probably want to eat the chalk as well. But if you are outside the cash line and looking to make a big move, it’s now or never.

For the contest I have been playing alongside you all season, I am just outside the Top 10, but definitely within striking distance for the cash line. I will have to take a few chances, but I don’t need to do anything egregious. I could go for the weekly high score, but I’d rather take a few risks and see if I can’t jump into the overall payouts. As you look at the chart below, you’ll see the chances I am taking. You don’t have to align with me at all. I just feel like the Dolphins and, yes, the Titans could be big moves for me in comparison to the rest of the field. We’ll see how it goes! Good luck!
