As Week 7’s Sunday slate inches closer and closer, we have plenty of fantasy football injuries we have to pay attention to.
NFL Injury Report Ahead of Sunday's Week 7 Games: Fantasy Football Injuries
The NFL Injury Report for Week 7 is loaded up with star power that we’re still unsure will play, some have been upgraded to questionable, and some completely removed from the injury report.
Let’s dive into who’s hurt, who’s playing, and who’s questionable in Week 7.
NFL Week 7 Injury Report: Quarterbacks
Anthony Richardson Injury Update - Oblique
After logging a full week of practice, head coach Shane Steichen has told the media that Anthony Richardson is healthy and will start in Week 7 against the Miami Dolphins.
Drake Maye Injury Update - Knee
After a limited participation in practice this week due to some sort of knee injury, Patriots rookie quarterback Drake Maye told reporters “I’m feeling good. Ready to go for Sunday.” We should expect him to play in London on Sunday barring any sort of setback.
Will Levis Injury Update - Shoulder
This comes as somewhat of a shock after Thursday’s full practice participation, but Will Levis has been listed as questionable for their Week 7 matchup against the Bills. Levis was downgraded from full to limited on Friday.
NFL Week 7 Injury Report: Running Backs
Jonathan Taylor Injury Update - Ankle
After missing practice all week long, Colts head coach Shane Steichen has officially ruled Jonathan Taylor OUT for their Week 7 matchup with the Dolphins.
Aaron Jones Injury Update - Hamstring
After missing practice on Wednesday, Aaron Jones returned to practice on Thursday in a limited fashion, but Ian Rapoport of the NFL reported that it’s likely Aaron Jones is going to return in Week 7 thanks to extra time off with the Week 6 bye.
James Cook Injury Update - Toe
It looks like James Cook’s absence from the field is only going to be one game as head coach Sean McDermott told reporters that the only thing keeping Cook from the field in Week 7 would be a setback from now until Sunday. James Cook owners can breathe easier heading into their fantasy football matchup knowing he’s not listed on the injury report.
Brian Robinson Injury Update - Knee
Everything is trending in the right direction for Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson as he’s logged three straight limited practices, and he even told reporters earlier in the week how good he was feeling. He’s officially listed as questionable, but all signs are pointing to him being available.
De'Von Achane Injury Update - Concussion
Coming off a bye week, De'Von Achane has cleared concussion protocol and is not listed on the Dolphins Week 7 injury report against the Colts.
Jordan Mason Injury Update - Shoulder
Jordan Mason has been removed from the injury report for the 49ers Week 7 game against the Chiefs.
Travis Etienne Injury Update - Hamstring
Jaguars starting running back Travis Etienne has been listed as questionable heading into Week 7 and has not been able to do a whole lot on the practice field. Head coach Doug Pederson said he’s a true game-time decision.
Nick Chubb Injury Update - Knee
The time is now. Nick Chubb, per head coach Kevin Stefanski, is expected to play in Week 7, making his return from a major knee injury that allowed him to play all of two games last year.
Tyjae Spears Injury Update - Hamstring
The Tennessee Titans have ruled running back Tyjae Spears out with a pulled hamstring after not logging any practice reps this entire week. That was the expected outcome, but now it’s official.
Devin Singletary Injury Update - Groin
We’ve finally received clarity on the Devin Singletary situation. Singletary is going to play in Week 7, but that doesn’t mean he’s returning to the workload he previously had. Tyrone Tracy, per head coach Brian Daboll, is going to have a major role within the offense. Singletary may be returning as a second fiddle.
Jonathan Brooks Injury Update - Knee
Although Jonathan Brooks has ended his week practicing on a limited basis, he’s going to miss Week 7 as he’s officially been ruled out. His next opportunity to return to action is Week 8 against the Denver Broncos. It’s obvious that at 1-5, the Panthers are in no rush to bring back their second-round draft pick too soon.
Rhamondre Stevenson Injury Update - Foot
Stevenson spoke with the media on Friday and said he believes he’ll be ready to rock in Week 7 as the Patriots play the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. Even if he suits up, Antonio Gibson is the expected starter.
Rachaad White Injury Update - Foot
Rachaad White was limited in practice all week, but the team talked about all three running backs splitting time and riding with the hot hand, so it makes you think White’s going to be active heading into Monday Night Football. There’s one more practice report coming from the Bucs on Saturday.
NFL Week 7 Injury Report: Wide Receivers
Cooper Kupp Injury Update - Ankle
We’ve now seen Cooper Kupp bless the practice field – albeit on a limited basis – but he’s still listed as questionable for Week 7. Per Jordan Rodrigue of the Athletic, the team is weighing multiple options as to what they’ll do with his Week 7 status.

Malik Nabers Injury Update - Concussion, Groin
Malik Nabers was in concussion protocol and was also dealing with a groin injury. Both of those injuries are things of the past as he’s cleared concussion protocol and is not listed on the Giants' injury report.
Marvin Harrison Injury Update - Concussion
Harrison was seen practicing for a second consecutive day on Friday and was NOT wearing a yellow non-contact jersey like he was on Thursday. That is a great indication that he’s cleared concussion protocol and will play in Week 7.
Diontae Johnson Injury Update - Ankle
After not practicing earlier in the week, Diontae Johnson returned to the field on a limited basis on Friday. He’s listed as questionable with multiple injuries, but this isn’t new. Johnson’s played through multiple questionable tags this season already so until the tune in Carolina changes, we should expect him to play.
Mike Evans Injury Update - Leg
Although Mike Evans was seen on the side field with a trainer on Friday, he’s still expected to play on Monday night. He has yet to practice this week, but the Bucs haven’t given fantasy owners any reason to panic just yet.
Davante Adams Injury Update - Hamstring
Davante Adams and his magical healing hamstring is good to go for Week 7 and will make his debut with the New York Jets. Not only that, but he’s expected to play a full snapshare.
JuJu Smith-Schuster Injury Update - Hamstring
Head coach Andy Reid spoke to the media on Friday and said Smith-Schuster is going to be playing in Week 7. He had hamstring spasms on Thursday that kept him from finishing practice. He’ll be listed as questionable but will be playing barring a setback.
Tyler Lockett Injury Update - Knee
You rarely see a captain for a specific week sit, so this is a good indication that Tyler Lockett will play in Week 7. He’s not even listed on the injury report.
Odell Beckham. Injury Update - Hamstring
The Dolphins may be without wide receiver Odell Beckham. as he missed Friday’s practice with a hamstring injury.
Dontayvion Wicks Injury Update - Shoulder
After injuring his shoulder last week, head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters he didn’t think this would cause Dontayvion Wicks to miss any time, but on Friday he told reporters “he’s looking questionable” and that’s exactly how the Packers have listed him on their injury report. There is no shortage of weapons in Green Bay if Wicks misses this game.
Jauan Jennings Injury Update - Hip
After not practicing all week with a hip injury, Jauan Jennings has officially been ruled out for Week 7 by the San Francisco 49ers.
Ricky Pearsall Injury Update - Chest
Just 50 days after he was shot in the chest, Ricky Pearsall will make his professional debut and should see a sizeable role with Jauan Jennings already ruled out.
Quentin Johnston Injury Update - Ankle
Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston was not seen practicing on Friday and will have one more day to potentially get back on the field considering the Chargers are one of two Monday Night Football games.
Josh Downs Injury Update - Toe
After missing Wednesday’s practice, Josh Downs finished the week with two limited participations and despite being listed as questionable by the team, the expectation is that he’ll play.
Alec Pierce Injury Update - Shoulder
It would be surprising to see Pierce not suit up in Week 7 after logging a full practice on Friday. His off day on Thursday seems more precautionary than anything considering he wasn’t on the injury report on Wednesday and practiced in full on Friday,
Jakobi Meyers Injury Update - Ankle
The Raiders' new number one receiver is unlikely to be active in Week 7 as the Raiders have officially listed him as doubtful with his ankle sprain per Adam Schefter.
NFL Week 7 Injury Report: Tight Ends
Dallas Goedert Injury Update - Hamstring
The Philadelphia Eagles have officially ruled Goedert out with a hamstring injury for their Week 7 matchup with the New York Giants.
T.J. Hockenson Injury Update - Knee
Could we see the return of T.J. Hockenson in Week 7? It’s possible, but he’s still yet to practice in full. He’s been a limited participant in practice this week and with Thursday Night Football on the schedule for Week 8, that seems like the preferred target in which he’ll make his return in.
Tyler Conklin Injury Update - Hip
After playing through this same hip issue last week, Tyler Conklin has once again been listed on the injury report and is considered questionable for Week 7. He played, but he ran fewer routes in Week 6 than he had been previously, so keep that in mind if he is playing through the hip injury again.
Player News
NBC Sports’ Matt Maiocco reports that the 49ers and OT D.J. Humphries do not have a deal in place.
Humphries reported on his social media account a few weeks ago that he had agreed to a contract with the 49ers, but that does not appear to be the case. At least for now. Humphries tore his ACL at the end of the 2023 season and was released by the Cardinals. He spent most of the 2024 season rehabbing before signing with the Chiefs. He started at left tackle in Week 14 before hurting his hamstring and missing the rest of the season. He will continue to search for another opportunity.
Patriots DT Christian Barmore (blood clots) will be ready to play in Week 1.
Barmore was limited to just four games last season while battling blood clots. He told reporters on Thursday that he’s been cleared for all football activity and has been a full participant in the Patriots’ offseason workout program. He expects to be fully ready by Week 1.
Raiders hired Brandon Hunt as Vice President of Player Personnel
Hunt was most recently the senior director of scouting for the Philadelphia Eagles and spent the previous two seasons as their director of scouting. Before joining the Eagles, Hunt spent 12 seasons (2010-21) as the pro scouting coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
ESPN’s Seth Wickersham reports Caleb Williams considered forcing a pre-draft trade from the Bears before ultimately deciding he could win in Chicago.
In other words, he mulled pulling an Elway. “Chicago is the place quarterbacks go to die,” were the words of Caleb’s father Carl to ESPN’s Seth Wickersham. Williams reportedly desired a trade to the Vikings, but he changed his mind after touring the Bears’ facility. “I can do it for this team,” Caleb reportedly told his dad. “I’m going to go to the Bears.” Williams acknowledged any attempt to force a trade would require going scorched earth on the Bears and city of Chicago, a process he did not have the stomach for. There have been zero reports of Bears/Williams drama since he made his peace with the idea, even after former coach Matt Eberflus’ clown show 2024 mistakes. It’s an interesting story, but one firmly planted in the past.
49ers signed No. 11 pick EDGE Mykel Williams to a four-year contract.
The deal is worth $24.9 million and is fully guaranteed. As is the case with all first-round picks, his contract includes a fifth-year option. The 49ers shed hundreds of millions of dollars in contracts this offseason and the bulk of those savings came on the defensive side of the ball. Defensive end was an obvious position of need and Williams was widely regarded as the best pass-rusher on the board when 49ers GM John Lynch was on the clock. Williams totaled five sacks in 2024 and left Georgia with 14 sacks across three seasons as a starter.
Vikings signed No. 24 pick OG Donovan Jackson to a four-year contract.
It’s a fully guaranteed deal worth $17.2 million with a fifth-year team option. Minnesota taking Jackson with the 24th-overall pick came as a bit of a surprise on draft night, but the Vikings needed offensive line help and Jackson was considered worthy of a first-round pick by some draftniks. He was primarily a left guard at Ohio State but successfully kicked out to tackle for the bulk of his senior season. Jackson is likely fated for guard duties in Minnesota, but the positional versatility remains a plus.
