NFL Week 5 Injury Report: Quarterbacks

Anthony Richardson Injury Update - Oblique

It looks as if Joe Flacco will operate as the Colts' starting quarterback in Week 5 as he’s taken almost all of the first-team reps in Friday’s practice per James Boyd of the Athletic. Richardson’s absence isn’t supposed to be extended.

Russell Wilson Injury Update - Calf

Huh, this is a new one! Russell Wilson is listed as questionable! He was limited at practice on Friday! Wow! Anyway, he’s been a limited participant at practice every day this year and has been debatable for every game. At the end of the day, he's still the backup, questionable or not.

NFL Week 5 Injury Report: Running Backs

Jonathan Taylor Injury Update - Ankle

The Indianapolis Colts have officially ruled Jonathan Taylor out for their Week 5 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Ian Rapoport of the NFL reported this morning that there’s a chance Taylor misses even more time than just Week 5.

Raheem Mostert Injury Update - Chest

Raheem Mostert has been fully removed from the injury report ahead of their Week 5 game against the New England Patriots. There’s no word whether he’ll be limited but the Dolphins backfield is healthier than it’s been all year long.

Nick Chubb Injury Update - Knee

Despite being listed out for Week 5, Nick Chubb logged a full week of practice and is nearing a return, possibly in Week 6 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Brian Robinson Injury Update - Knee

The Washington Commanders have listed starting running back, Brian Robinson Jr, as questionable, but Robinson himself chimed in about his status. It looks as if he’s going to suit up and he’s all good. What’s the source? Robinson’s X.

Austin Ekeler Injury Update - Concussion

Washington Commanders running back, Austin Ekeler, has cleared concussion protocol and is ready to return to action for the Commanders' Week 5 contest against the Cleveland Browns.

Joe Mixon Injury Update - Ankle

After logging a limited practice last Friday and ultimately not playing in Week 4, Joe Mixon has been ruled out for Week 5 after not practicing once this week. Makes you wonder what last week’s limited practice was about.

Dameon Pierce Injury Update - Hamstring

After not practicing for the last few weeks and even the first two days this week, Dameon Pierce logged a practice in limited fashion on Friday. That at least gives him a chance to play in Week 5 as he’s been listed as questionable.

Devin Singletary Injury Update - Groin

Despite positive reports in the beginning portion of the day that Devin Singletary’s progressing in the right direction and practice on Friday, the Giants have officially listed him as doubtful, meaning we’re likely going to see Tyrone Tracy and Eric Gray shoulder the workload out of the Giants backfield.

Zamir White Injury Update - Groin

Things have gone from bad to worse this week for Zamir White. Head coach Antonio Pierce openly said they want to feature Alexander Mattison more and then White hurt his groin at practice on Wednesday and has been fully downgraded to out on Friday.

Jaylen Warren Injury Update - Knee

It’s been murky waters on what’s officially wrong with Jaylen Warren’s knee but Nick Farabaugh of PennLive has reported he’s dealing with a grade 1 PCL strain. He’s been ruled out of their Week 5 game, but the Steelers are reportedly going to begin ramping him up next week in practice.

NFL Week 5 Injury Report: Wide Receivers

Malik Nabers Injury Update - Concussion

Despite head coach Brian Daboll suggesting the Giants would take this up to game time on Thursday, the team ruled him out one day later on Friday and Malik Nabers will miss his Week 5 matchup against the Seahawks. He remains in concussion protocol.

Davante Adams Injury Update - Hamstring

The Las Vegas Raiders have officially listed wide receiver Davante Adams out for their Week 5 matchup against the Denver Broncos.

Diontae Johnson Injury Update - Ankle

I’m looking.. I’m looking. Huh, nothing. No signs of Johnson listed on the team’s injury report in Week 5. Looks like all systems go for the Panthers' top wideout.

Rashee Rice Injury Update - Knee

We’ve all kind of been in a stalemate with what was going on with Rashee Rice’s knee and what the severity of the injury is. We learned that he’s going to get a scope on his knee once the swelling is down and the fear is ACL and PCL damage. He’s been placed on injured reserve.

Tank Dell Injury Update - Chest

Here from Tank Dell himself on how he’s feeling heading into Week 5. If you can’t turn the audio on, he’s ready to play and will be available.

Romeo Doubs Injury Update - Personal

Everything seemed ho-hum for Romeo Doubs until it didn’t. He practiced on Wednesday and wasn’t even listed on the injury report but missed practice on both Thursday and Friday due to a personal matter and is now listed as doubtful for Week 5.

Christian Watson Injury Update - Ankle

The Packers made it known they weren’t placing Christian Watson on injured reserve meaning this ankle injury won’t be long-term, but his status for Week 5 is in doubt. He didn’t practice all week and is officially listed as doubtful on the team’s injury report.

Khalil Shakir Injury Update - Ankle

The Buffalo Bills have ruled out wide receiver Khalil Shakir for their Week 5 showdown against the Houston Texans due to a sprained ankle.

Odell Beckham Injury Update - Knee

After having his return-to-play window opened earlier this week, Odell Beckham went through three straight full practices this week and is officially listed as questionable.

Brandin Cooks Injury Update - Knee

Brandin Cooks is going to miss the Cowboys Week 5 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but it could be a longer absence than that. According to Todd Archer of ESPN, Cooks has an infection in his right knee after having a procedure done on it after their Week 4 game against the Giants.

NFL Week 5 Injury Report: Tight Ends

Trey McBride Injury Update - Concussion

After missing their Week 4 game with a concussion, starting tight end Trey McBride has cleared concussion protocol and is good to go in Week 5 against the San Francisco 49ers.

George Kittle Injury Update - Rib

After getting back on the practice field on Friday, George Kittle is being listed as questionable for Week 5 but is expected to suit up.

Evan Engram Injury Update - Hamstring

There is absolutely no certainty as to what happens with Evan Engram heading into Week 5. He has practiced on a limited basis all week, but reports all day have been that he’s very questionable to play. If you’re the Jaguars, you don’t want to push an injury that’s easily pulled again.

David Njoku Injury Update - Ankle

Everything is pointing to a return of David Njoku for the Cleveland Browns, but nothing is certain. Even Njoku told the media he’ll listen to whatever head coach Kevin Stefanski says whether it’s him playing or sitting. He has practiced all week.

T.J. Hockenson Injury Update - Knee

The Vikings have officially opened the practice window for tight end T.J. Hockenson, and he now has three weeks to return to the field. He’s already been ruled out in Week 5, but it’s worth noting that NFL reporter Ian Rapoport mentioned Friday morning that the Vikings could use all three weeks up before activating Hockenson. We’ll see how next week’s practices go.

Taysom Hill Injury Update - Ribs

Taysom Hill hasn’t practiced all week and it’s because he has fractured ribs he’s dealing with. There has yet to be anything official on his Week 5 status as the Saints travel to Kansas City to play the Chiefs on Monday Night Football.
