2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence Pools Strategy & Advice: Week 10 Predictions

Here we are, knocking on the door of NFL Week 10, which means it’s time to make those picks for our 2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence Pools.
And what a way to open things up with this AFC North battle between the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals. It will probably be one of the more difficult games to choose for our NFL Week 10 confidence pool picks, but one of the best games to watch this week. Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase? Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry? A 52.5 over/under? Sounds like fun to me.
But let’s get to the business of making our picks for 2024 NFL Pick ‘Em Confidence Pools. We had a fairly nice bounce-back last week, going 11-4 on our picks and the only game that cost us a big point-boost was the New Orleans Saints dropping an easy one against the hapless Carolina Panthers. We set the confidence pool rating at 14 for that one, but then again, so did most people, so the damage really wasn’t that impactful.
Our other whiffs were the Patriots who lost to the Titans late, the Bears who struggled against the Cardinals and the Cowboys who lost to the Falcons after Dak Prescott left with an injury. But those were three of our four lowest-rate picks, so again, the damage wasn’t big at all.
No reason to dwell on last week, though, as we still need to make up some ground in our overall standings, so let’s dive into some helpful confidence pool advice before finalizing our 2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence Pool picks this week.
2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence Pools Strategy for Week 10
Need a good strategy for your 2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence Pool picks? Where are you in your overall standings? Obviously that matters. If you are near the top of your standings, my confidence pool advice is to continue leaning into the chalk. There’s no reason to get too cute with your picks.
If you find yourself in the middle of the pack, you’re going to have to take some chances. Maybe increase the confidence level of some of the less-chalky picks and see if you can move up. You should know by the end of this week, or maybe the next if you have a shot at finishing in the top-10.
If you’re at the bottom, it’s time to look at your 2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence pool rules and see if there is a second-half prize or even a weekly payout to chase. With everyone near the top leaning into the chalk, your chances of moving that far up are probably pretty slim.
If you can steal a weekly payout or two over the next few weeks, chances are you can finish the season in the black. Obviously, not ideal, but it is what it is.
NFL Pick Em Confidence Pools Advice
There is no real addition to my current confidence pool advice other than what you just read. At the top, you want to wait for some real good games to try and make a move with a contrarian pick.
In the middle, it’s about adjusting your confidence levels on some picks that could go either way – kind of like Giants/Panthers actually. Personally, I think the Panthers can beat the Giants and the point spread says something very similar. Maybe go with Carolina and move that confidence level up.
If you don’t think you can finish top-10 then it’s time to look for other ways to make money off the pool. Most have a weekly payout, so lean into it. Now, let’s get to the rest of my picks for Week 10 of your 2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence pools.

Player News
Dolphins signed No. 13 overall pick DT Kenneth Grant to a four-year contract.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that Grant will sign his contract today. The former Michigan defensive tackle is expected to fill a major void left by Christian Wilkins, who left for the Raiders in the 2024 offseason. Grant totaled 32 tackles, three sacks, and seven TFLs in his final season at Michigan and excelled at stopping the run while also generating 27 pressures in his final season, per PFF.
Beat reporter John Hendrix reports that free agent WR Donovan Peoples-Jones is among the 16 players that the Saints will host for their rookie minicamp.
Peoples-Jones last played regular season snaps with the Lions back in 2023, when he caught 13-of-24 targets for 155 yards. He is highly unlikely to return to fantasy relevance at this point but could perhaps sign on as a special teams contributor.
Titans signed fourth-round pick WR Elic Ayomanor to a four-year contract.
Ayomanor will now begin learning behind Calvin Ridley. Although Ayomanor is unlikely to find a meaningful role in year one, dynasty managers should note his status as training camp gets underway this summer. The former Stanford receiver flashed big-play ability in his two college seasons.
Buccaneers signed seventh-round pick WR Tez Johnson to a four-year contract.
Johnson will serve as a rotational deep-threat option for Baker Mayfield. His thin frame (5'10/154) simply does not lend itself to the repeated hits one incurs in a full-time role. Johnson did earn 100-plus targets in his two seasons at Oregon, though. His big-play style make him a better fit in best ball for now, pending any major on-field breakthroughs.
Giants waived DT Casey Rogers.
Rogers was a 2024 undrafted free agent and logged 33 defensive snaps for the Giants in his rookie season. He is credited with zero tackles and/or sacks. He may find his way onto another roster as a practice squad option.
Vikings signed third-round pick WR Tai Felton to a four-year contract.
Felton is quietly in play to challenge Vikings No. 3 WR Jalen Nailor in training camp. Nailor (5'11/190) caught 28-of-42 targets for 414 yards and six touchdowns in his first season as a starter last year, with the latter category buoying his fantasy productivity. Felton (6'1/183), meanwhile, caught 96-of-143 targets for 1,119 yards and nine touchdowns while averaging 2.32 yards per route run in his final college season. Fantasy managers should monitor Felton’s training camp reports this summer, as he could have a matchup-based WR5 role if everything falls into place.
