NBA DFS Picks, Projections, Lineups, Injuries & More Today: Wednesday Playbook

Not much needs to be said here. Cade is essentially matchup proof at this time. The Cavs are coming off of a home loss to the Celtics and are looking like they will be without Donovan Mitchell and thus we have a 5.5-point spread. In a competitive game we should see close to 40 minutes out of Cade who has triple double upside.

Yes, the Thunder are healthy today, notably having Jalen Williams back in the lineup and yes, the Suns are not, with Kevin Durant sitting out but that doesn't mean we still can't get some SGA action over on FanDuel who is more than capable of putting up big numbers even in a blowout where this game has a double-digit spread.

Back-to-backs are not a concern when it comes to Maxey who will have the offense to himself today with Joel Embiid already ruled out and Paul George currently listed as doubtful. Not the doubtful tag on PG13 is an upgrade but even if he was to play I'd still bet my money on Maxey playing close to 40 minutes in a good spot against the Heat.

Flip side of that matchup. Herro continues to lead the Heat in scoring and the assist and rebound numbers only help his overall ceiling. The 76ers are not a good defensive team and I'd look for Herro to also battle it out with Maxey in this matchup.

We will see how the Kings offense looks now that it has Lavine added to the mix but Monk was already really good while playing alongside De'Aaron Fox. I don't see any real drop offs coming but this matchup against the Magic could be better given the slow pace of play.

We talked about the usage rates here and with Dejounte Murray now out of the lineup along with Brandon Ingram there are just more shots to go around. McCollum looked great against the Nuggets the other night and I'd be willing to go right back to the well here agian.

Making his Spurs debut. The price on DraftKings is just too cheap and I'd expect him to  be integrated right away into this offense. The matchup against the Hawks is always a fun one for DFS but Fox could also see a big helping of Dyson Daniels.

Donovan Mitchell could sit this one out which means we see Garland more ball dominant than usual. He put forth a strong scoring effort last night against the Celtics and I'd expect to see him fill up the stat sheet tonight.

No Kyle Kuzma here following the trade which means a lot of shot attempts are likely finding their way to Poole tonight in this matchup against the Nets. He is a popular play today for those reasons.

With Collin Sexton out of the lineup we likely see George move back into the starting lineup. He played over 30 minutes the other night and double-doubled off the bench after Sexton went out.

Whenever someone is out of the lineup for the Cavaliers we seemingly look to Jerome as the GPP darling. Now, the Cavs do have Caris LeVert and Max Strus both healthy along with Sam Merrill so there is a chance that Jerome gets squeezed with Mitchell out of the lineup but he's worth a dart throw given the high upside we've seen.

No R.J. Barrett and no Immanuel Quickley tonight. Will it be Davion Mitchell or Jamal Shead starting at point guard? We shall find out but Shead has looked good in his recent playing time.

Any matchup against the Bulls is an appealing one and tonight is no different as we look for Edwards to take advantage of this juicy matchup against a Bulls team that struggles defensively.

No Kevin Durant tonight for the Suns which means Booker leads the offense and likely leads them in shot attempts. This is no walk in the park however given the Thunders' strong defensive presence.

Back-to-back games with 40 actual points for Murphy which included this most recent matchup against the Denver Nuggets. Denver has struggled defensively for most of this season and if Murphy is going to shoot like this then another big game is on the horizon. 

Whenever we have Joel Embiid and Paul George out of the lineup we immediately look to plug in Kelly Oubre who has shown double-double upside this season while mixing in a few 20+ scoring games as well.

When Kyle Kuzma was out of the lineup earlier this year we loved what Coulibaly was doing for us and now recently we were getting ceiling performances WITH Kuzma. Now that Kuzma is traded we should be back to buying our shares of Coulibaly in this matchup.

Clarkson played 30 minutes off the bench and has continued to be a scoring machine when on the floor. With Collin Sexton out tonight and Lauri Markkanen questionable we should expect a good workload from Clarkson this evening.

A double-double threat when on the floor, even with Collin Sexton out of the lineup I have no issues going with Collier in this matchup against the Warriors as he likely plays alongside Keyonte George. 

Very popular play today.  Dick had a great start to the season when Barrett and Quickley were out of the lineup and that's the scenario we have here tonight. We could see 15+ shot attempts go his way.

Wagner has been a consistent contributor for the Magic since returning from injury, out producing Banchero most nights. This matchup against the Kings will be a big pace up spot and I'd look for Wagner to be a contributing factor in Orlando being competitive.

Gets a usage bump with Durant off the floor. The matchup against the Thunder is not going to be easy but he should take a good amount of shots.

Could be traded so we have to be careful here. Rumors if the Warriors looking to get Jimmy Butler are back and Wiggins would be the player on the move if that ends up going down.

Boy, nobody is playing McDaniels but with Julius Randle out with an injury the last two games we've gotten HUGE games. Known more for his defense, the scoring from McDaniels has been impressive and now he has another favorable matchup against the Chicago Bulls.

This is a good price tier tonight. Braun will play almost 40 minutes with Russell Westbrook out of the lineup and the Nuggets are already shorthanded with Payton Watson out and Aaron Gordon questionable.

The rookie's building up right now with some really good performances. As the minutes begin to solidify so will the consistent production. For now he is a low rostered GPP play.

Chalky tonight as most of the Raptors are. He started last night and looked good when on the floor. The matchup against Memphis is tough but even in a blowout he should get his minutes.

Starting with Donovan Mitchell out of the lineup tonight. That has seen his ownership boom to over 20%. Look for LeVert to make a good impression as his name is being floated in trade rumors.

We need to see a starting lineup but Champagnie was really good earlier this year when Kyle Kuzma was out of the lineup. If he is starting, especially now that Valanciunas is also traded, I'd be interested.

With all the value at center today we see Giannis getting a lot of ownership love. This matchup against the Hornets is obviously elite and the Bucks trading Khris Middleton takes another viable offensive player off of the floor. Hard not to love Giannis tonight if using both value centers.

He struggled against Denver the other night but that doesn't mean we can't go back to the well. He is a very high usage rate player and this game has a total approaching 240 points.

Another player that could be traded but he has great upside at this price and in this matchup. Collin Sexton is already ruled out and Lauri Markkanen is questionable to play.

Grande called him his favorite play on the slate. With Russell Westbrook out of the lineup and Aaron Gordon limited we are getting all the MPJ we can handle right now and if that three-point shot is dropping the ceiling is huge.

The price keeps going up but this dude is a monster when getting minutes and with Randle out of the lineup we see Reid starting and taking full advantage of his opportunity.

The rookie went 10-for-10 last night and is one of the few Bulls not being rumored as a trade candidate for obvious reasons. I have no problem running it back here as even in a blowout Buzelis should play.

Jokic is the lowest rostered of the big spend ups today with Giannis and Wemby getting more love. That means tournament leverage for a guy who has gone for 70 and 80 FP over the last two games.

Wemby is getting more ownership than Wembanyama today likely due to the price discount. This is a slate where we are looking to spend down at center with Kelly Olynyk and then pick a center to spend up for and that has gone to Wembanyama at nearly 2x the ownership that Jokic is getting.

Elite play with Donovan Mitchell out of the lineup. He's averaging over ae fantasy point per minute this year with Mitchell off the floor and the Pistons have not been good against opposing centers.

With Alexander Sarr back in the lineup we move back to Kelly Olynyk as the cheap value center to roster tonight. He's going to be well over 50% in tournaments and closer to 70% in single entry GPP's tonight.
