Happy Monday, everyone! To get everyone geared up for the 4th tomorrow, we have a good slate of games today and another chance to make some winning MLB DFS lineups. It should be a great day to build some winning MLB DFS lineups and enjoy some baseball. There are two early division rivalry games, with the Houston Astros facing the Texas Rangers and the Chicago Cubs taking on the Milwaukee Brewers, but we will be focused on the 6-game main slate that starts at 7:05 PM EST on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Today’s slate is highlighted by some great pitchers, including Clayton Kershaw, Blake Snell, Joe Ryan, Mitch Keller, and Logan Webb, with some fantastic value pitchers to go along with them. On the other side, we have some red-hot offenses to target, with some of my favorites today including the San Diego Padres, Atlanta Braves, and the Minnesota Twins. Some great players to look at in today’s smaller slate, so let’s jump into some of my favorite value options of the day!

MLB DFS Value Pitchers

Tyler Wells, Baltimore Orioles (DraftKings: $7,700 / FanDuel: $9,500)

Tyler Wells has been extremely reliable this season. He continues to hold a 3.21 ERA and a 0.88 WHIP while striking out over a batter an inning, with the strikeout rate being much better after the start of the season. Through his last 10 starts, his strikeout rate is all the way up to a 10.61 K/9, and over that stretch, he has also only given up more than 2 earned runs twice. He has struggled a bit with the long ball, with most of his runs coming off of homers, but hopefully, he can keep the ball in the yard today against the Judge-less Yankees and continue to rack up the strikeouts.

Bryan Woo, Seattle Mariners (DraftKings: $6,600 / FanDuel: $9,200)

Bryan Woo has been far better than his 4.37 ERA shows through his first 5 starts, as he has a 2.98 FIP and a 2.46 ERA, indicating possibly some bad luck inflating his ERA currently. He has been getting plenty of strikeouts, though, with 32 punch-outs through his first 22.2 innings. While the Giants are a better team against righties, they will have the 4th highest strikeout rate against them at 24.6%, so Woo should be able to continue to rack up the Ks and put together another solid outing against them today.

MLB DFS Value Hitters

Carlos Santana, 1B Pittsburgh Pirates (DraftKings: $2,600 / FanDuel: $3,400)

Carlos Santana is having a great stretch at the plate right now. In his last 10 games, he has slashed .350/.381/.675, including 3 homers, 4 doubles, and a stolen base. Facing Kershaw is always a challenge, but Santana is also better against lefties who he has an .835 OPS against this season. While you aren’t stacking against Kershaw often, getting the Pirate's cleanup hitter in this spot for this cheap of a price with how hot he is at the plate seems like a steal for today.

Ha-Seong Kim, 2B San Diego Padres (DraftKings: $4,300 / FanDuel: $3,000)

Ha-Seong Kim has really turned it on for the San Diego Padres recently and found himself getting back in the leadoff spot for most of their games recently. Since June 15th, Kim has a 1.053 OPS, and he also has 5 home runs over their last 10 games. While Barria is still holding onto a 2.92 ERA, he has been plenty hittable and should be due for some regression which the Padres will likely deliver to him today.

Eugenio Suarez, 3B Seattle Mariners (DraftKings: $3,200 / FanDuel: $2,600)

Logan Webb is a great pitcher and is especially great at suppressing home runs, but Eugenio is the type of hitter who can take anyone deep if he can get his bat on the ball. While Eugenio has been struggling at the plate this season, he hit a home run yesterday, and this is the lowest price he has been available for all season long. The home run potential (while much lower than it used to be) is still there for Eugenio, and with him coming in at this price, I am willing to take a shot with him today.

Drew Waters, OF Kansas City Royals (DraftKings: $2,300 / FanDuel: $2,400)

A bottom-of-the-order hitter for the Royals against Joe Ryan sure doesn’t sound that intriguing, but Drew Waters is dirt cheap and is locked in at the plate. Over his last 10 games, Waters has 6 multi-hit games as well as 2 homers and 3 steals. He has 8 hits over the last 5 games, and I am willing to jump on a hot streak like this when it comes at almost the minimum price because he doesn’t have to do anything crazy to return value at this price.
