Wednesday's MLB DFS slate features 8 games which will make for some interesting roster construction today both on DraftKings and FanDuel. This slate sees the return of Tyler Glasnow for the Dodgers and opposing him will be Giants lefty Robbie Ray who is making his season debut as he comes back from Tommy John surgery.

We are also have a few pitchers that could be on the move come trade deadline day as Jack Flaherty takes the mound for the Tigers and Nathan Eovaldi pitches for the Rangers. There are lots of great players to talk about, so let’s just dive right into today’s playbook and some of my favorite MLB DFS picks for the day!

MLB DFS Lineup Construction Thoughts

Given the pitching on the slate I think it is safe to say we are going to be going with two top guys on DraftKings and on FanDuel we just be plugging in Nathan Eovaldi.

When it comes to hitting, the Orioles are my favorite stack of the day and I'll be looking to jam in as many of them as I can in their matchup against Edward Cabrera.

Core MLB DFS Pitchers

Nathan Eovaldi, Texas Rangers

Going up against the Chicago White Sox, Eovaldi is my top starter per dollar here today.  We know he can pitch deep into games and has the ability to get strikeouts in certain matchups.

He also has great odds to get the win here which puts him in position to get those ever so important bonus points for being the winning pitcher.

Jack Flaherty, Detroit Tigers

Flaherty has pitched well against the Guardians this season, allowing three runs over 12 innings while striking out 10. He is averaging 19.2 DK points over those two outings and just faced them two starts ago, holding the Guardians lineup to one run over six innings.

There isn't a ton of win equity here, but Flaherty should pitch well enough to limit the damage and pitch deep enough into this game to still lock in some decent fantasy production.

Chayce McDermott, Baltimore Orioles

McDermott is making his MLB debut here this evening against the Miami Marlins where the Orioles are heavy favorites on tonight's slate.

At Triple-A this season McDermott was 3-5 with a 3.96 ERA but boasted a 12.8 K/9 which is certainly appealing as he takes on this bad Marlins lineup.

Yariel Rodriguez, Toronto Blue Jays

Rodriguez has been pitching well for the Blue Jays, finishing with nearly 15+ fantasy points in each of his last three outings which includes going for 20+ fantasy points in two of the last three.

Rodriguez has finished with at least six strikeouts in each of his last three outings and while the Rays offense is starting to come to life, they are much better against lefties than righties.

If looking for a value play today, Rodriguez is my pick.

*Note: Will Be Updated As Official Starting Lineups Are Released

Gunnar Henderson, SS Baltimore Orioles

Henderson is the cover for a lot of baseball content today and for good reason as he steps into the box against Marlins righty Edward Cabrera.

Cabrera this season has been dreadful against left-handed bats, allowing a .604 slugging percentage, .442 wOBA and 4.0 HR/9.

I'm plugging Henderson over Witt today in my lineups.

Teoscar Hernandez, OF Los Angeles Dodgers

The Giants are wasting no time putting Robbie Ray into the thick of it as he will make his season debut on the road against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Ray was good during his rehab starts, showing the same strikeout upside that led him to the Cy Young a few years back but I'm willing to bet against him here tonight with Teoscar Hernandez who is hitting .378 with an OPS of 1.060 over his last 10 games and hits left-handed pitching really well.

Ryan O'Hearn, 1B Baltimore Orioles

I honestly may just do a full lefty stack here for the Orioles, but I'll at least highlight O'Hearn who has a near .900 OPS over the last 10 games with some nice power upside at under $4,000 on DraftKings here this evening.

Anthony Volpe, SS New York Yankees

Yes, I like Gunnar but maybe you don't and if that ends up being the case and you want to save a little money then Volpe certainly checks some boxes as the Yankees shortstop has a six-game hitting streak going right now and has two straight two-hit games.

Tyler Fitzgerald, OF San Francisco Giants

If I didn't include the dude who has homered in five straight games, you would come for my head.

Yes, the matchup against Glasnow is far from ideal, but his dude is on a heater and Glasnow is fresh off of the IL so maybe he catches a rusty Glasnow here tonight and makes it six straight games with a home run.
