Week 15 Monday Night Football Eagles vs Seahawks Predictions

Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles – HIGHER Than 33.5 Rushing Yards

With the Philadelphia Eagles coming off back-to-back losses, expect the offense to get back on track tonight against a weaker Seattle Seahawks defense. Despite coming in with the questionable tag due to illness, bank on Jalen Hurts to use his legs more as a weapon – something that was notably absent in these past two losses. Hurts ran for 20 and 30 yards against the 49ers and Cowboys, respectively, while carrying it just 12 combined times. The Eagles’ dual-threat QB should be closer to double-digit rush attempts tonight like we’ve seen more often than not this season. Philadelphia is favored here and likely won’t be trailing by double-digits for most of the game as was the case the past two weeks.

Hurts has 460 rushing yards on the year, averaging 35.4 yards per game. He has at least 34 rush yards in 7 of 13 games so far but also had 30, 29, and 28 in three other contests. So, Hurts has been either higher or right around this 33.5 line in 10 of 13 games. Meanwhile, the Seahawks defense has struggled with some running quarterbacks this season. Lamar Jackson (60 rush yards), Joshua Dobbs (43), and Daniel Jones (66) have all gone higher than this pick – and even Phillip Walker was close with 27 yards.

Finally, we get an interesting trend in our favor here with Hurts tending to run more when playing on the road. Over the past two seasons, Hurts is averaging 47.6 rushing yards per game away from Philly with at least 35 yards in eight of 14 road games. He also has a stronger track record of running it more when the Eagles play in close games or in primetime matchups.

Noah Fant, Seattle Seahawks – HIGHER Than 21.5 Receiving Yards

When looking at receiving picks for the Seattle Seahawks tonight, Noah Fant isn’t the first name that comes to mind. However, there’s some value here in taking Fant to have more than 21.5 receiving yards. The Seattle tight end has at least 25 yards in three straight games and in eight of 13 games this season. Though the Seahawks are using three tight ends, Fant is the better pass-catcher than both Colby Parkinson and Will Dissly – and he’s been outsnapping them on a consistent basis now.

Fant is firmly entrenched as Seattle’s fourth receiving option behind DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Even so, this matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles tends to funnel more targets and yards to the tight end position. The Eagles have strong cornerbacks but their linebacking corps and safeties have been a weakness all year. It’s resulting in opposing tight ends to have regular success through the air. Check out the receiving yard totals of the past six opposing TEs vs Philadelphia: Jake Ferguson 72, George Kittle 68, Dalton Kincaid 38, Travis Kelce 44, Ferguson 91, and Logan Thomas 44 have all gone higher than this 21.5 line. Overall this season, the Eagles have allowed at least 22 receiving yards to a tight end in 10 of 13 games. It sets up well for Fant to add to that list.

Even if Geno Smith sits out and Drew Lock starts for the Seahawks tonight, Fant can still easily go higher than this receiving yards line. He just had 35 yards on four targets last week against the 49ers with Lock under center. Fant can be a safety valve for Lock for shorter, easier completions as well if Smith is out.
