NFL DFS Week 12 QB Coach: Jayden Daniels, Bo Nix, Baker Mayfield

Week 12 of the NFL season has arrived and we are back to the 10 game main slate on DraftKings and 11 game main slate on FanDuel.

It's the Bye-Magedon this week with top QB's Josh Allen, Joe Burrow and Kirk Cousins all on byes along with Derek Carr, Aaron Rodgers and whoever is the Jaguars QB these days.

Week 11 was a pretty interesting week in fantasy football and Week 12 is shaping up to be even better as we have some top tier QB's in some really great spots to take advantage of, notably, the cover player Baker Mayfield who draws a great matchup against the New York Giants this weekend as Tampa Bay comes off of a bye week and Mike Evans is expected to return.

As with every week, this week, we once again look to take advantage of some top matchups for our NFL DFS Week 12 QB coach as I bring you my NFL DFS Week 12 QB coach top targets, values and fades to build your lineups around this weekend.

NFL DFS Week 11 QB Coach Recap

We had the top three scoring QB's of the week in the QB coach last week so I'll count that as a win. The unfortunate part was the Steelers and Ravens game being a dud from a scoring perspective as Wilson was the top play and Jackson the top priced QB written up.

Overall, we can't be too upset here with four of the top six QB's in scoring of the seven QB's written up to play.

NFL DFS QB Top Tier Picks For Week 12

Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders - DraftKings: $7,000  | FanDuel: $9,000

I mean, he is home and he draws the Cowboys defense here which is getting healthier but still having it's own issues. The Cowboys pass rush is improving but the Commanders have the fifth best offensive line per PFF rankings heading into Week 12 and the Cowboys secondary is still giving up big plays.

We also know Daniels can escape the rush and make plays with his legs if needed as we saw Jalen Hurts do against this Cowboys defense a few weeks ago..

Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles -  FanDuel: $9,300

FanDuel only spot this week with the Eagles playing on Sunday Night Football but as is the case every week, Hurts has the chance to be the top scoring QB and player in DFS due to his elite rushing touchdown upside. He also just has an elite offense around him with Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.

If I have the option to use Hurts, I will find a way to use Jalen Hurts.

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs - DraftKings: $6,800  | FanDuel: $8,800

He's looking good and now has an elite matchup this week against the Carolina Panthers. Sure, we could see a combo of Isaih Pacheco and Kareem Hunt just run all over this Panthers defense but I'd be willing to bet on at least 250 yards and two passing touchdowns out of Mahomes this weekend.

Jared Goff, Detroit Lions - DraftKings: $6,600  | FanDuel: $8,800

He keeps throwing touchdowns to Amon-Ra St.Brown and has a great matchup against the Indianapolis Colts this upcoming weekend. We also know that Jameson Williams is always live for a long touchdown and that Jahmyr Gibbs can make plays in the passing game.

Goff was the top QB in DFS last week and he has a chance to repeat that success this week as well.

NFL DFS QB Mid-Tier Picks For NFL Week 12

Bo Nix, Denver Broncos - DraftKings: $6,300 | FanDuel: $7,400

The Broncos have the 2nd rated offensive line in football according to PFF and that protection along with Nix's development and chemistry with star wide receiver Courtland Sutton has a led to some big weeks recently for the rookie QB. In Week 12 Denver draws another good matchup for Nix as they head on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders. In their first meeting this season Nix completed 70% of his passes for 206 yards and two touchdowns while adding a rushing touchdown as well.

Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams - FanDuel: $7,300

Opposite side of that Eagles matchup. If you are betting on the shootout then you have a much cheaper Matthew Stafford with his two elite wide receivers in Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua who both put on a show against the Patriots last week.

Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals - DraftKings: $6,200 | FanDuel: $7,400

Murray is on the road this week against the Seattle Seahawks fresh of a bye week. The last time we saw Kyler take the field he completed 91.7% of his passes for 266 yards and a touchdown while adding 21 yards and two more touchdowns rushing against the Jets.

Murray has been fantastic this season, completing nearly 70% of his passes with 12 touchdowns and just three interceptions while rushing for 371 yards and four more scores.

This game is setting up to be one of the highest scoring game of the week and Murray is going to be popular.

NFL Week 12 DFS QB Value Picks

Geno Smith, Seattle Seahawks - DraftKings: $5,700 | FanDuel: $7,400

Opposite side of that matchup with Kyler we have a Seahawks team that is averaging 278 passing yards per game. The issue for Geno smith is that hes throwing just 11 touchdowns with 11 interceptions. 

If we could get 280 yards and 2 touchdowns this week he would likely end up a top five fantasy QB and would be a great value at his price tag.

Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears - DraftKings: $5,500 | FanDuel: $7,400

I know the struggles for Williams and the Bears offensive line is doing him no favors either but he wasn't bad last week and still has enough elite playmakers at wide receiver for him to do some damage. We also saw his mobility last week as he ran for 75 yards.

This week he faces a Vikings defense that has had trouble against the pass this season and with a new offensive coordinator maybe this Bears offense will start to look more improved.

NFL DFS QB Fades For Week 12

Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers - DraftKings: $6,700 | FanDuel: $7,700

Tough matchup against the 49ers and current expectations are for some bad weather in Green Bay this weekend . I like Jordan Love the player and he has elite receivers but I'm out on him for the second week in a row at his price tag.

NFL Week 12 QB Play Of The Week

Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers - DraftKings: $6,100 | FanDuel: $7,400

Cover of the playbook this week. Mike Evans is back for the Buccaneers and Tampa Bay is fresh off a bye week against a Giants team that is starting to split at the seams. 

Defensive players are being vocal about the state of the franchise after Daniel Jones was benched and this could just be the beginning of the end for New York in this matchup.

Tommy DeVito in at QB for the Giants this week against the Buccaneers defense could see New York's offense struggle and maybe we see some turnovers as well which will give Tampa's offense some  short field opportunities.
