NFL Week 10 Early Spread Picks & Predictions

Giants vs. Panthers Spread Pick: Sunday, November 10th

Believe it or not, let’s roll with the Panthers to cover the 6.5-point spread in their Week 10 game against the Giants, particularly since both teams are having trouble on offense. Carolina ranks 31st in points per game (16.3) and has been inconsistent, but their recent performances show some improvement. 

The offensive line is doing better at creating running lanes, averaging 4.4 yards per carry, which is slightly better than New York’s 4.3-yard average. This advantage could allow Carolina to control the game pace and limit the Giants’ offensive chances. On defense, the Panthers need to focus on stopping a Giants offense that is last in points per game (15.4) and 26th in total yards. 

New York has had difficulty maintaining drives, as shown by their 23rd rank in passing yards per attempt (6.0) and overall inefficiency. If Carolina’s pass rush can put pressure on the Giants’ weak offensive line, they can keep New York’s scoring down. 

The combination of the Giants' inconsistent offense and Carolina’s ability to control possession gives the Panthers a good chance to stay competitive and cover the spread as a 6.5-point underdog in Munich.

 

 

 

Falcons vs. Saints Spread Pick: Sunday, November 10th

How about a road favorite, eh? The Falcons should be able to cover the 3.5-point spread in Week 10 against the Saints despite being on the road. 

They have been gaining momentum on offense and have a strong defense, evidenced by scoring an average of 24.6 points per game, ranking 12th, and they are 8th in total yards with 364.8. Their passing game is effective, averaging 7.9 yards per attempt, which is 7th in the league. 

This puts them in a good position to take advantage of the Saints' weak secondary, which gives up 239.9 passing yards per game and ranks 24th in yards allowed per pass attempt at 7.1. On defense, Atlanta has improved its run stopping, allowing only 4.6 yards per carry, while the Saints allow 5.1 yards per carry. 

If the Falcons can limit the Saints' running game, it will force New Orleans into passing situations where they have not been very consistent. Overall, Atlanta's strong offense and the Saints' defensive issues suggest that the Falcons can control the game and cover the spread.
