2024 Fantasy Football Week 10 IDP Report: Risers, Waiver Wire & Matchups
The fantasy football community saw some impressive fantasy football IDP points in week 9. Possibly some season long tops for some.
None bigger than the four sack performance of Trey Hendrickson who had a career day against the Las Vegas Raiders.
2024 Fantasy Football Week 10 IDP Overview
Some of the players with great performances are featured in this week's risers of Week 10. This is a week with four teams on bye.
The Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, Las Vegas Raiders, and Seattle Seahawks are all on bye and there are elite fantasy football IDPs on all four teams. Get them on the bench and prepare for the tenth week of the season.
Fantasy Football IDP Risers
Amani Hooker is a defensive back for the Tennessee Titans, and he had an excellent fantasy football IDP performance in week 9. There is every reason to believe he will have a great week 10 also. The Chargers are rolling and Justin Herbert has thrown more than expected, which is good for our first riser this week.
Hooker had two interceptions against a rookie quarterback last week, but he isn’t dependent on interceptions to have good weeks. He has 5 or more tackles in five of his last six games, a great floor for a defensive back. Hooker is also past his bye week which could be beneficial down the stretch. He is rising and if you need a good defensive back take a look at him on the waiver wire.
Tuli Tuipulotu of the Los Angeles Chargers has dual designation on the sleeper platform. He is listed as a defensive lineman and linebacker which can be a major advantage for the remaining weeks.
However Tuipulotu is a riser due to the fact he has back-to-back weeks with sacks. In fact he had 2.5 sacks last week and had another two sacks earlier in the season. He has a favorable playoff schedule too with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Denver Broncos at home and the New England Patriots on the road.
Two rookie quarterbacks and an offense line that has allowed several sacks this season. Fantasy Football Week 10 IDP managers need to keep an eye out for this riser, and if you have roster room go get him.
Tavius Robinson is having an excellent second year, and is really finding his rhythm in the middle of the season. The 2023 4th round selection by the Baltimore Raven has 2.5 sacks in the past two weeks, and three tackles in each of his last two games.
Robinson doesn’t have to be the best player on his team, and does not get extra attention from offensive coordinators. He is rising up the board due to his big play ability and the fact that he is beginning to exploit 1 on 1 matchups. Fantasy football managers should mark him as a player to watch, and dynasty league players should make an effort to get him on their team.
Fantasy Football Week 10 IDP Waiver Wire Targets
Josh Sweat, Defensive Lineman, Philadelphia Eagles
Josh Sweat is on a tear, as are the Philadelphia Eagles. Sweat has a sack in four of his last five games, which is incredible consistency. He also has 5 tackles in two of his last four games, and Sweat could be a fantasy football league winner going forward.
The Eagles have a favorable matchup against the Dallas Cowboys next week and Sweat could have another big game with a sack and tackles. Dak Prescott is injured with ‘something he has never felt before’ which sounds like he’s not playing next week.
A backup quarterback and struggling offensive line is a perfect combination for Sweat to keep the streak going. Grab this Fantasy Football Week 10 IDP and plug him into your starting roster.
Jack Gibbens, Linebacker, Tennessee Titans
There was a question of who would step up after the trade of Ernest Jones to the Seattle Seahawks last month. The answer has been Jack Gibbens who simply must be owned going forward. The third year Minnesota Gopher basically did nothing and recorded minimal stats in the first seven weeks of the season.
Then he exploded on the scene week 8 with 8 tackles and backed it up last week with 14 tackles and 0.5 sacks. He is back and in a big way, the Titans knew what they had when they gave up Jones for essentially a loss of return on investment.
In addition to that, he is already past his bye week and ready to rock for a fantasy football playoff push. I’ve put several waivers in on Gibbens and you should too.
Jeremey Chinn, Defensive Back, Washington Commanders
Jeremey Chinn finally had his breakout game with the Commanders. He has 47 tackles on the season but got 12 last week against the New York Giants. He has seen plenty of snaps, but the Commanders are loaded with great Fantasy Football Week 10 IDPs so Chinn will not be making all the plays like he did his first season with the Panthers.
The name of the game in fantasy football is points, and whoever can earn the most has an advantage. Chinn has always had a high ceiling but it hasn’t appeared lately. The Commanders play the Pittsburgh Steelrers and this should be another high tackle game for Chinn. Get him out of the waivers in your fantasy football leagues and into the starting roster this week.
NFL Week 10 IDP Matchups To Capitalize On
Cincinnati Bengals vs. Baltimore Ravens, Thursday 8:15 PM ET
- Odafe Oweh, Defensive Lineman, BAL
Odafe Oweh has had hit or miss weeks this season but is due for another big game to begin week 10 of the NFL. The Bengals have been susceptible to sacks all season long and Oweh is due for another game with a sack.
He has 4.5 sacks on the season and the Ravens are on their second divisional game in three weeks. They are half a game behind the Steelers and need to win their division games to ensure they can take the AFC North.
In what has become a tradition, a Thursday playing IDP has been predicted and all have had better than average games. Pick up Oweh and put him in your starting lineup this week against their division rival.
Atlanta Falcons vs. New Orleans Saints, Sunday 1 PM ET
- Kaden Elliss, Linebacker, ATL
The second Atlanta Falcons linebacker to be mentioned in a weekly start and for good reason. Kaden Elliss is playing at an All-Pro level and he could have his best game of the season against the suffering Saints.
Elliss was a full participant in practice last week and has three consecutive weeks with double-digit tackles. The Falcons are in first place of their division and Elliss’ success is a big part of it.
The Falcons defense is loaded with special talent, and he is at the hub of it all. Look for Elliss to have another double-digit performance as well as being involved with a turnover in week 10.
Minnesota Vikings vs. Jacksonville Jaguars, Sunday 1 PM ET
- Harrison Smith, Defensive Back, MIN
Harrison Smith is a 13-year veteran in the NFL, and there isn’t much he hasn’t seen on a football field. He is not the athletic player he once was but has the experience and familiarity to be a menace on the field. Particularly against teams that do not protect the football.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are careless with the football, and H. Smith could have another big game due to it. Trevor Lawerence threw two interceptions last week, and with H. Smith lingering as a see-it-all safety, he could throw another. Vikings defensive coordinator, Brian Flores, has been dialing up pressure, and disguising his zone coverages… it could be a long day for the Jaguars offense, and a big day for Smith.
Smith has double-digit points in his last two games, and 19 tackles, passes defended, and turnovers in his last three weeks since the Vikings bye. His run will continue this week against the Jaguars, pick him out of the waivers and start him in your Fantasy Football Week 10 IDP leagues.
