Ravens exercised the fifth-year option for EDGE Odafe Oweh.
Oweh, a former first round pick, is now locked up until the end of the 2025 season. Pro Football Focus graded Oweh as the league’s 30th best EDGE in 2023, as he had nine QB hits and 40 QB hurries in an injury-shortened campaign. He has at least five sacks in each of his three seasons with Baltimore. PFF graded the Ravens as the seventh best pass-rushing defense in 2023.
Ravens EDGE Odafe Oweh (ankle/knee) did not participate in Wednesday practice.
Oweh has been dealing with an ankle injury for a few weeks, returning in Week 7 against the Lions. A knee injury has also been added to the report for Oweh. The third-year linebacker will try to return to practice later this week in order to play in Week 9 against the Seahawks.
Ravens EDGE Odafe Oweh (ankle) is questionable for Week 8 against the Cardinals.
Oweh returned from a four-game absence because of the ankle issue last week. He played a limited role but tallied one sack and forced a fumble. He was added to the injury report as a limited participant on Thursday before being downgraded to a DNP on Friday. His status for Week 8 is shaky at best. Roquan Smith, who missed Wednesday’s practice with a shoulder issue, is good to go.
Ravens EDGE Odafe Oweh (ankle) was removed from the Week 7 injury report and will play against the Lions.
Oweh has missed four games because of the ankle issue but got in two full practices before being removed from the injury report this week. Odafe started in the Ravens’ first two games of the year and immediately looked to have taken the next step in his second NFL season. He generated eight pressures and five QB hits in 44 pass-rush reps. He will look to make an impact on Jared Goff in his first game back.
