The wide receiver position is one of the deepest in all of fantasy football. Not just because there happens to be more of them, but because the evolution of the league going from a ground-and-pound run style game to an air raid offense over the past decade plus has seen teams with fantasy relevant players at wide receiver going as much as three deep on the roster.

With the subsequent increased value of the fantasy wide receiver, we also see the fantasy football ADPs of teams’ top two receivers on the rise. Still, that doesn’t mean there aren’t some late round fantasy football gems that we can look to target to help fill out our bench depth in case they need to step into the starting lineup for us this season.

Fantasy Football Late Round Wide Receivers 2024

For the sake of this article, I’m going to be looking at late round WR sleepers in 2024 coming off the board in rounds 10 or later in 12-team leagues, which means these players will have an average ADP of at least 120 or great.

With that said, let’s dive into some of the best late-round WR targets and fantasy sleepers for this upcoming NFL season.

2024 Best Late Round Fantasy WRs & Sleepers

Jakobi Meyers, Las Vegas Raiders (WR52)

Meyers is currently coming off the board as the WR52 with an average ADP of 128. After some productive seasons with the Patriots, Meyers had a strong first year with the Las Vegas Raiders, finishing with 71 receptions on 106 targets for 807 yards and a career-best eight touchdowns.

Playing opposite of Davante Adams, and his willingness to go over the middle, makes him an easy target for the Raiders quarterback, which will either be Aiden O’Connell or Gardner Minshew this season.

It’s unlikely that Meyers is ever a 1,000-yard receiver given the offense, but if something were to happen to Davante Adams, he would immediately step into the WR1 role in this Raiders offense. As the current WR2, he has a pretty solid floor level of production in PPR formats. Place Jakobi Meyers at the top of the list for late round WR sleepers in 2024.

Rashid Shaheed, New Orleans Saints (WR58)

We all got a good glimpse of what Shaheed can bring to the table last season when he finished with 46 catches for 719 yards and five touchdowns. His ability to stretch the field and make big plays is super appealing as we head into the 2024 NFL season where Shaheed is locked in as the WR2 in the Saints offense following the departure of Michael Thomas in the offseason

His big-play ability can certainly cause him to be a bit boom or bust in a given week, but knowing he should be locked into a strong snap share and, therefore, subsequent targets has him on my draft board in the later rounds.

Darnell Mooney, Atlanta Falcons (WR68)

There is a lot of weird hate going towards Kirk Cousins this season because he is coming off of a torn Achilles at his age, but Cousins is not a mobile WR and, by all accounts, he is fully healed, so that is much less of a concern. Which brings me to the revamped Falcons offense now led by Kirk Cousins.

Yes, the team already has Drake London, Kyle Pitts and Bijan Robinson who will shoulder the majority of the offensive workload, but the team also went and signed Darnell Mooney to be the starting receiver opposite of London. At WR68 with an ADP of 165, I am really liking the potential here for Mooney who more often than not should be seeing the softest coverage by opposing defenses given the trio mentioned above they will have to worry about.

If Mooney comes out of this season with 50+ catches for 750+ yards and a handful of scores, that would be a win.

Ja’Lynn Polk, New England Patriots (WR73)

Somebody has to catch the football in New England, right? Yes, DeMario Douglas is still on the roster and Kendrick Bourne is expected back as well, but the team invested a second round pick in Polk and his ability to be a possession receiver and someone that could be strong in the red zone is what piques my interest here.

It also helps that he comes off the board around pick 185, so if he busts, you can let him go early in the year without it hurting your team composition. But, if he becomes a target monster, you have yourself a steal.

Wan’Dale Robinson, New York Giants (WR74)

The Giants offense is going to be pretty interesting this season and that interest can go the way of a train wreck or a pleasant surprise due to the changes that were made this offseason. First, Saquon Barkley is no longer on the roster and if you watched any of Hard Knocks you saw that the decision to let Barkley go was followed up with the fact that it is sink or swim time for Daniel Jones.

The team invested the sixth overall pick in WR Malik Nabers, have looked to improve the offensive line and now, without needing to force a certain number of plays to Barkley, the team's passing offense should open up. Is that a good thing? Well, it can be a good thing for Wan’Dale Robinson as the starting slot wide receiver in this Giants offense.

We know Robinson can make plays when in space, we just need to see him stay healthy. Like Polk, he is a late round fantasy sleeper that can be easily let go if the first few weeks look ugly, but if he starts seeing six-plus targets a game, you will be more than happy.

Demarcus Robinson, Los Angeles Rams (WR79)

Here is an interesting one for you. At the end of last season, Robinson was a fantasy darling, scoring at least 10 fantasy points in PPR leagues from Week 13 to Week 17 which, in that stretch, he averaged 4.2 catches on 6.8 targets for 63.8 yards. He scored four touchdowns during that five-game stretch as well.

Yes, he begins the year behind Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp, but we’ve seen Kupp’s injuries start to pile up over the past few years and they gave Robinson a new contract to come back. He figures to be their WR3 to begin the season but could very easily slide into the WR2 role if one of the above two receivers get injured.

Zay Jones, Arizona Cardinals (WR93)

This is just a favorite late round WR pick of mine because I’ve seen him put up some really good fantasy numbers during stretches of his career. Two seasons ago, he was with the Jaguars and came out of nowhere to catch 82 passes on 121 targets for 823 yards and five scores.

He got that opportunity thanks in part to his strong finish to the 2021 season with the Raiders where he had 47 receptions for 546 yards, but over the final seven games of the season that year, he averaged over 10 fantasy points per game in PPR formats. So, now we see Zay Jones land in Arizona, where they have a healthy Kyler Murray and a strong passing offense centered around rookie Marvin Harrison and tight end Trey McBride

Assuming Jones can beat out Greg Dortch for the starting slot receiver role, I could envision another season like we saw in 2022 when he competed with Christian Kirk and Evan Engram for targets and production with the Jaguars. If he doesn’t work, well, his ADP is 256, and is nothing more than a last round pick on your roster that can be easily replaceable.
