2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence Pools Strategy & Advice: Week 12 Predictions

NFL Week 12 has arrived, so it’s time to make those picks for our 2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence Pools.
After back-to-back great games for Thursday Night Football, we’re back in the mid with this AFC North battle between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns. This one should be pretty ugly as both teams are dealing with offensive struggles and we’re also expecting some pretty gross weather throughout.
After all, it’s Cleveland in November. What else did you expect? The Vegas lines have this one as a pretty tight game with a low over/under, but with regard to our NFL Week 12 confidence pool picks, we all know where we’re landing in this one.
We came out of the gate pretty hot last week and then took a tumble during the late games. We finished 9-5 for the week, which is not good, especially if you’re trying to make up some ground in your 2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence Pool or just trying to escape the season with some money for a one-week win.
We tried to buck the trend and took a few dogs in the Chiefs and Bengals and put a mid-tier confidence level on them, so that, obviously, didn’t help. We’ll get it back this week with stronger confidence pool advice and better NFL Week 12 confidence pool picks!
2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence Pools Strategy for Week 12
Feel like you’re in need of some strategy for your 2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence Pool picks? Where are you in your overall standings? Obviously that matters. If you find yourself sitting near the top of your standings, my standard confidence pool advice is to simply lean into the chalk. We are seeing a lot of favorites walk away with the win over the past few weeks, so keep your place in the standings and lean into it.
If you find yourself in the middle of the pack, you’re going to have to continue taking some chances now if you genuinely feel like you can move up and finish in the money. Maybe increase the confidence level of some of the less-chalky picks and see if you can move up. You should know by the end of this week, or maybe the next if you have a shot at finishing in the top-10.
If you’re at the bottom, you should check your 2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence pool rules and see if there is a second-half prize or even a weekly payout to chase. With everyone near the top leaning into the chalk, your chances of moving that far up are probably pretty slim. If you can steal a weekly payout or two over the next few weeks, chances are you can finish the season in the black. Obviously, not ideal, but it is what it is.
NFL Pick Em Confidence Pools Advice
Once again, there’s not much left to add to my current confidence pool advice other than what you just read. At the top, you want to wait for some real good games to try and make a move with a contrarian pick. In the middle, it’s about adjusting your confidence levels on some picks that could go either way – maybe games like the Ravens/Chargers, 49ers/Packers or even the Rams/Eagles fit the bill.
If you don’t think you can finish top-10 then it’s time to look for other ways to make money off the pool. Most have a weekly payout, so lean into it. Here are my picks for Week 12 of your 2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence pools.

Player News
Dolphins signed No. 13 overall pick DT Kenneth Grant to a four-year contract.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that Grant will sign his contract today. The former Michigan defensive tackle is expected to fill a major void left by Christian Wilkins, who left for the Raiders in the 2024 offseason. Grant totaled 32 tackles, three sacks, and seven TFLs in his final season at Michigan and excelled at stopping the run while also generating 27 pressures in his final season, per PFF.
Beat reporter John Hendrix reports that free agent WR Donovan Peoples-Jones is among the 16 players that the Saints will host for their rookie minicamp.
Peoples-Jones last played regular season snaps with the Lions back in 2023, when he caught 13-of-24 targets for 155 yards. He is highly unlikely to return to fantasy relevance at this point but could perhaps sign on as a special teams contributor.
Titans signed fourth-round pick WR Elic Ayomanor to a four-year contract.
Ayomanor will now begin learning behind Calvin Ridley. Although Ayomanor is unlikely to find a meaningful role in year one, dynasty managers should note his status as training camp gets underway this summer. The former Stanford receiver flashed big-play ability in his two college seasons.
Buccaneers signed seventh-round pick WR Tez Johnson to a four-year contract.
Johnson will serve as a rotational deep-threat option for Baker Mayfield. His thin frame (5'10/154) simply does not lend itself to the repeated hits one incurs in a full-time role. Johnson did earn 100-plus targets in his two seasons at Oregon, though. His big-play style make him a better fit in best ball for now, pending any major on-field breakthroughs.
Giants waived DT Casey Rogers.
Rogers was a 2024 undrafted free agent and logged 33 defensive snaps for the Giants in his rookie season. He is credited with zero tackles and/or sacks. He may find his way onto another roster as a practice squad option.
Vikings signed third-round pick WR Tai Felton to a four-year contract.
Felton is quietly in play to challenge Vikings No. 3 WR Jalen Nailor in training camp. Nailor (5'11/190) caught 28-of-42 targets for 414 yards and six touchdowns in his first season as a starter last year, with the latter category buoying his fantasy productivity. Felton (6'1/183), meanwhile, caught 96-of-143 targets for 1,119 yards and nine touchdowns while averaging 2.32 yards per route run in his final college season. Fantasy managers should monitor Felton’s training camp reports this summer, as he could have a matchup-based WR5 role if everything falls into place.
