NBA DFS Picks, Projections, Lineups, Injuries & More Today: Monday Playbook

The warm reaction Trae Young is going to get in Madison Square Garden is going to be amazing! He's loved there! Anyways, BS aside, Trae Young is a solid play here. He has a very high ceiling when he makes shots and lately, his shot is falling.

With Draymond Green and Jonathan Kuminga out, Stephen Curry has to shoulder a LOT of offensive responsibility. He sees a team-leading 4.8% USG bump up to 33.5% and averages 1.3 FP/min. He has elite GPP upside if Boston continues to struggle.

Darius Garland is really good at basketball. He's really good when Evan Mobley is out too. He gets a 1.7% USG bump up to 29% and averages 1.3 FP/min. This is an ELITE matchup as we know Ryan Dunn will be guarding Donovan Mitchell. This is one of my favorite spots on the board.

Ty Jerome is definitely OK, but his ownership is a bit inflated. He played just right first-half minutes and played so well in the second half his minutes ran great. Caris LeVert hadn't played well so he had minutes taken from him. The price is great and the FP/min are great, but all it takes is Caris LeVert being decent for those 21 Jerome minutes to go away.

I think Mike Conley is FINE but I don't think, as his price goes up, he's a MUST. He's solid. Returning to Memphis, short-handed back-court. Solid.

Massive minutes. Consistently elite production. What isn't there to like? This game is FUN, too. 236 implied points and Booker has failed to have anything less than 44 FP over his last seven games, five times topping 50 in that span.

Edwards did not have fun against Jaylen Wells the last time these two teams faced off, but he's had big game after big game in every other matchup since Christmas. Without DDV, Edwards has a 31.1% USG and averages 1.17 FP/min. Massive pace up spot.

Without Evan Mobley on the floor the other day, Donovan Mitchell went nuclear and had a 44.5% USG to back it up. Mitchell without Mobley and Isaac Okoro this year has a team-leading 32.3% USG and averages 1.3 FP/min. Elite stuff. 

At a loaded SG spot, nobody wants to click on Jalen Green's name. It's undetermined whether Amen Thompson will play, and that's a big part as to why, but when you only remove Jabari Smith Jr. from the equation, Green has a 28.2% USG and 1.18 FP/min. He's scored 26+ actual and 35+ DKP in eight straight.

I think there's something to be said about Buddy Hield's struggles and Moses Moody's minutes trending upwards. He's played 29 and 25 minutes in the last two and 23+ in three of four. All four games have been without Draymond Green or Green has left early. The one game Moody wasn't extended in they played Hield 33. There's a ceiling here at his price and if this game blows out, Moody will be on the floor.

Another player we're unsure about in terms of his status but would have plenty of interest if he plays. The projections across the industry are low on Thompson and that's weighing down his ownership. He's played 40 minutes or more in every game that's been close or he hasn't gotten in foul trouble in since entering the starting lineup.

It largely has to do with price and injury status, but everyone's playing the other Knicks. Hart is questionable, so we'll have to see if he's going to play, but he's simply better in fantasy than Bridges and Anunoby. It's a savings game, obviously, but like always, Josh Hart is an elite pivot. He was one rebound shy of an eighth straight double or triple-double last time out.

It's a tough spot for Wiggins and the Warriors to be in, but they're short-handed and he's rollin' offensively. Wiggins sees a 2.5% USG bump up to 25.6% (2nd on team) without Kuminga, Green, and Podziemski and averages 1.03 FP/min too. He's poured in 20+ actual in three straight and coming off a 60 bomb.

Of everyone that's stood out while Donte DiVincenzo's been out, Jaden McDaniels is right at the top of the list. He's been extremely active and not often are you going to find guys at this price playing mid-to-high 30s minutes. He's topped 34 minutes in three straight and has 24+ DKP in each.

Max Strus is a safe play at 3.8K coming off a season-high 28 minutes. Without Evan Mobley and Isaac Okoro, there's reason to believe he plays those minutes again. He's a .9 FP/min player without them and has SG/SF elg.

Jon Impemba and I talked through how popular the Cavs would be and it was spot on. Some leverage away from the mega chalk is someone like Dean Wade. Wade was solid the other day without Mobley playing 27 minutes and putting up 20 DKP. On the year, without Mobley and Okoro, Wade is a .94 FP/min player. Better than Niang and Strus, both getting more ownership than him. Dean Wade, by the way, is the starter.

VERY solid. Durant's been great all year but is coming off a monster outing and is in a game with a 236 implied total.

Hmmm..nobody playing Jalen Johnson. Where have we seen this before? How about every slate in the existence of all slates? People hate a 23% USG and 1.26 FP/min, I guess.

The last two games for Randle have been great from a minutes standpoint as Randle is doing a lot of handling without Donte DiVincenzo. He's made the second most passes per game last two games. He was one assist shy of a triple-double last game 

We're getting an elite version of Naz Reid lately as he's posted 27+ DKP in seven straight games and could possibly be an absolute LOCK if Rudy Gobert is out. Everything about Naz Reid is safe.

Niang played great last game and was extended because of it. He looked good out there and we know if he plays well, he'll be extended. If he doesn't, Max Strus, Caris LeVert and Dean Wade are waiting in the wings. .9 FP/min this year without Evan Mobley.

Towns practiced on Sunday and likely plays here, but is still listed as questionable. Towns has a 27.8% USG and averages 1.5 FP/min this year. He's averaged 64 DKP/game against the Hawks.

Sengun has a MASSIVE ceiling already without Jabari Smith Jr. and we saw what things could look like without Amen Thompson. He's a triple-double threat without it.

Allen is the chalk center of the day. Allen has a 1.2 FP/min average without Mobley and Okoro this year. The most important thing last game, outside of the results, was the 35 minutes Allen played.

Can he do it…AGAIN? Okongwu has been a monster. He has three straight double-doubles and 45+ DKP in each. He's still largely in a timeshare, but he looks to be the dominant member of the split.

Welcome to Phoenix, Nick Richards! 29 minutes and a 20-point double-double off rip. Obviously Mason Plumlee was in foul trouble, but Richards was acquired and said to be the starter sooner rather than later. Richards is low-owned, but could even be announced as the starter here.
