MLB DFS Value Plays June 14: Top DraftKings and FanDuel Picks
Tonight’s MLB DFS coverage is for the 12-game main slate that starts at 7:05 pm ET on DraftKings FanDuel. Starting pitching is headlined by Gerrit Cole and Clayton Kershaw. We do not have Coors Field on the slate, so you don’t have to worry about that when setting lineups. We have a couple mlb weather concern today, so make sure to keep a close eye on the reports leading up to first pitch. Grande is on the playbook today, make sure to give that a read, and don’t forget to check out the MLB Lineups page, Vegas Odds, and all of our MLB DFS Tools. Let’s dive into some of my favorite value options of the day and some we can fit into our cash and tournament lineups!
MLB DFS Value Pitcher
Tyler Glasnow, Tampa Bay Rays (DraftKings: $9,400 / FanDuel: $10,100)
Glasnow is a bit more expensive than my normal value play, but he is cheaper than he should be. He is the sixth priced pitcher on both DK and FD, but he is a top-3 option (maybe number one) in my mind today, which makes him a value. He has scored at least 16.2 points in each of his first three starts and scored 25.1 points in his most recent outing. He has at least 6 Ks in all three, which is a huge part of what makes Glasnow so good. Those matchups were against all high-powered offenses in the Dodgers, Red Sox, and Rangers… now he gets the A’s.
MLB DFS Value Hitters
Gunnar Henderson, 3B/SS, Baltimore Orioles (DraftKings: $3,700 / FanDuel: $3,100)
Henderson has been in my value plays article the last two games he has played and he has scored 28 and 26 dk points, so why would we not make it three straight?? The kid is on fire right now, scoring at least 17 dk points in FIVE STRAIGHT. He is hitting .432 over his last 10 games with five home runs, two steals, and 22 total R/RBI. He has been way better at home this season, hitting .284 with an .893 OPS, compared to .198 and .751 on the road, respectively.
Will Brennan, OF, Cleveland Guardians (DraftKings: $2,300 / FanDuel: $2,500)
Brennan is scorching hot right now, hitting .359 with a 1.020 OPS over his last 10 games. He has two dingers and two steals in that span as well. He has been a totally different player on the road this year, hitting .299 with a .751 OPS, compared to a .234 average and .658 OPS at home. Tonight he faces Michael Wacha, who has been lights-out lately, so it’s a tough matchup, but Brennan is worth a shot at this cheap of a price tag.
Dairon Blanco, OF, Kansas City Royals (DraftKings: $2,000 / FanDuel: $2,000)
Blanco is off to a 2-7 (.286) start through two games, but he hasn’t stolen a base yet, and that’s his main selling point for playing him. He had an .895 OPS with 47 steals at AAA in 49 games prior to his call-up, so there is series wheels here. Tonight he faces Ben Lively, who has a 4.21 ERA through seven games and is a pretty below average pitcher. You’re probably going to need a steal or two from Balnco to pay off his price tag, but at the minimum price, he’s worth a shot.
