Whether chasing big GPP prizes or grinding cash games, we’ve got you covered with insights tailored to today’s matchups. Let’s jump right into the key plays and strategies to dominate the slate!
This season's MLB DFS picks and playbook will consist of a pitcher and hitter core players section with written analysis, player pool grid and core stacks section.
The core player section should be used as a starting point for all lineups, you may not be able to use all players in the same lineup, but those players should be the building blocks for you on a given night.
The player pool grid will feature both players from the core player section along with additional plays to help you build a complete lineup. The grid will be broken into top priced players, mid-priced players and value tier players.
The stacks section will bring you are favorite lineups stacks for the day and which players we would look to include in those stacks based on matchups and pricing.

MLB DFS Picks & MLB Playbook
MLB Weather: Tuesday, 6/3
Texas Rangers @ Tampa Bay Rays
This game doesn't have great weather expected. There is definitely a delayed start potential and a PPD is even on the table at this point.
Detroit Tigers @ Chicago White Sox
There's real delay potential here. There is rain expected in the area.
Minnesota Twins @ Athletics
It is 80 degrees with winds blowing out at 10 MPH. Elite hitting weather.
Recommended MLB DFS Starting Pitchers
Let's get into today's core pitching plays for our DFS lineups
Core MLB DFS Pitchers
Carlos Rodon, New York Yankees
Carlos Rodon has been really, really good. Some would even claim he's been great. Cleveland, against left-handed pitching, has not been that. In fact, they've been downright bad. They rank 25th in OPS, 24th in wOBA, 26th in ISO, and have a 25.1% K-rate against them. That's Rodon's game, too. The strikeouts. He's an elite spot.
Hunter Greene, Cincinnati Reds
Although Hunter Greene hasn't looked great since returning from his groin injury, this Brewers lineup – although clicking recently – ranks very badly against right-handed hurlers this year. They're 25th in OPS, wOBA and wRC+ and 26th in ISO against righties. Greene has a massive ceiling putting up 34+ DKP three times this year. The swinging strike rate since being back being under 7% is concerning, but it was over 15% in six of his eight starts prior to the injury.
Spencer Strider, Atlanta Braves
A lot of things are going on here. Arizona's offense is awesome against right-handed pitching. Spencer Strider is too cheap. That's the story here. We'll never see Strider at this price again.
Landen Roupp, San Francisco Giants
Landen Roupp has just simply been solid this year. He's at a strikeout per inning right now along with an ERA, SIERA, xFIP all in the mid-threes. The Padres are very mediocre offensively despite the star power they have, ranking 17th or worse in OPS, wOBA, and wRC+.
Brayan Bello, Boston Red Sox
It's been a pretty bad season for Brayan Bello, but this could be a good matchup for him. Bello is good against righties and has been for years now. Against righties this year, he has a 22% K-rate along with a 3.15 xFIP and he struggles with lefties, but the Angels don't really have any. Nolan Schanuel is the only one. The Angels strike out over 26% of the time against righties, which is second in baseball.
Recommended MLB DFS Hitters
Let's check out today's core plays to build our lineups around.
Core MLB DFS Hitters
PhiLadeLphia PhiLLies Lefties Look LoveLy
Look, Bowden Francis absolutely LOVES giving up home runs to lefties. It's his job (literally..kind of). He has allowed 3.45 HR/9, 48% FB, and 35.7% HH to lefty bats.
Looking the Phillies way, and why I capitalized all the L's in the headline, we want the lefties and all of them.
Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper, Bryson Stott, and Max Kepler are the four that stand out and you can make a case for Brandon Marsh and Rafael Marchan if they crack the lineup.
Braves to Score Gallens of Runs
Zac Gallen has pitched extremely poorly and although the Braves offense hasn't popped off like we thought it would be now, they're firmly in play here. They're extremely affordable outside of Ronald Acuna today too. Lefties have a .170 ISO while righties have a .189 ISO against him. Power, power and more..power!
The top-five projected of their lineup of Acuna - Drake Baldwin - Marcell Ozuna - Matt Olson - Austin Riley look great and are elite five-stack if you can get there.
Tigers on the Prowl
There's a lot to suggest Shane Smith has gotten pretty pretty lucky against left-handed hitters and the Tigers have some really good ones to offer at him. On the year, Smith has a .205 BABIP against lefties along with a 4.72 xFIP, 41.7% FB, and 30.6% HH as well.
We're one game removed from Kerry Carpenter homering three times in a game. Parker Meadows returning and notching three hits. Riley Greene being awesome. Wenceel Perez is back. And Colt Keith and Zach McKinstry are pretty good (and cheap) too.
Orioles? Orioles.
This version of George Kirby taking the mound for Seattle is..not great Bob. Strikeouts are down. Walks are up. Home runs are way up. Lefties gave him an issue in 2024 despite being good and they've torched him through two starts this year.
The Orioles have a LOT of lefties, including getting, Colton Cowser back on Friday. Jackson Holliday, Gunnar Henderson, Ryan O'Hearn, Colton Cowser, and Dylan Carlson are all hitting from the left side today.
HASHTAG TWINNING
Update - There are rumblings Osvaldo Bido could draw a start here, which wouldn't be a bad thing for us either
Things were pretty concerning going into the Blue Jays start for Jacob Lopez as there were a lot of bad underlying numbers are those concerns came to the forefront and he was shelled. The Athletics bullpen is also terrible, so all the pitching options they have not named Mason Miller in this one is an advantage for the Twins, especially with the winds blowing out in Sacramento.
Righties against Lopez have 2 HR/9, 61% FB and .385 wOBA so far this year and the Twins have a bunch of them on their roster.
There are three players on the Twins roster (from the right side) have elite numbers vs. LHP.
- Carlos Correa - 1.096 OPS, .412 ISO, .464 wOBA
- Byron Buxton - 1.072 OPS, .346 ISO, .435 wOBA
- Ryan Jeffers - .853 OPS, .400 wOBA
Ty France is someone who's been quite unlucky against lefties too, posting a .071 ISO but .233 xISO and .240 wOBA compared to a .344 xwOBA. Royce Lewis, Willi Castro, and Brooks Lee are all potential righties in the lineup and should be considered by how cheap they are.
