On Thursday, August 15th, we have an 4-game MLB DFS main slate kicking off at 1:00 pm ET. With such a small slate the chalk plays are going to be very highly owned due to the size of the player pool, so we're going to have to dig deep through the MLB DFS projections and find some great values for MLB DFS picks today.

MLB DFS Lineups: Core MLB DFS Pitchers

Jack Flaherty, Los Angeles Dodgers

Flaherty is -105 to get the win here today with the Dodgers -135 on the moneyline against the Brewers.

Flaherty has the highest strikeout MLB DFS projections for the day set at 7.5 in this matchup against the Brewers and while Milwaukee will a lot of left-handed hitters against Flaherty in this matchup, for such a small slate, he is worth the pay up given the spot.

Jose Quintana, New York Mets

My top value pitcher for MLB DFS picks today is Quintana. The Mets have the best moneyline odds today at -185 and Quintana has been much better at home this season than on the road where he has struggled over his last two starts.

Yes, the A's have some guys in their lineup but they will once again be without Brent Rooker, who is their most dangerous hitter, and therefore this matchup becomes much better for Quintana.

Logan Webb, San Francisco Giants

After being nearly no-hit on Monday we saw the Braves absolutely blitz Robbie Ray last night on their way to a big win over the Giants.

Which brings us to Logan Webb, the first right-handed starter the Braves will see in this series, Webb has allowed just two total earned runs over his last three starts spanning 21.2 innings pitched while striking out 18 during that stretch.

Webb has also pitched much better at home this season than on the road, boasting a 2.49 home ERA over 11 starts this season.

MLB DFS Lineup Picks: Hitters

Highest Expected Run Totals

MLB DFS Lineups: Core MLB DFS Hitters

Kerry Carpenter, OF Detroit Tigers

The man is on the cover, so you knew he was going to be the top player written up here today. Carpenter was off to a career start before the back injury cost him a few months of his season. He returned, however, as hot as he was when he got injured, hitting three home runs over the last two games.

Today he faces off against Mariners righty Bryce Miller who has good numbers overall but a deeper dive will show that he really struggles on the road and against left-handed hitters this season on the road he his allowing a .500 slugging percentage and 2.6 HR/9.

Cal Raleigh, C Seattle Mariners

I don't often look to spend up for catchers when making MLB DFS picks, especially when its a small slate and there is fewer value plays, but I absolutely love stacking against Kenta Maeda and he is the listed long man today for the Tigers after Faedo opens the game.

Sure, this means that Raleigh will have one less at bat against Maeda here today, but you can't beat the power that Raleigh brings to the table at the catcher position and on small slate, you need to fish for those home runs.

Luke Raley, 1B/C Seattle Mariners

Raleigh hits 4th which makes Raley the perfect two-man stack here as he hits fifth for this Mariners lineup. Over the last 10 games, Raley has an OPS over 1.000 and, again, I'm looking to stack Seattle here against this Faedo/Maeda Tigers combo here today.

Jesse Winker, OF New York Mets

The Mets have Winker hitting third today in this matchup against Mitch Spence and the Oakland Athletics.

Winker is hitting .314 over the last 10 games and while the power numbers aren't great, he is a great price regarding MLB DFS projections and in a good spot in this Mets lineup to both drive in runs an scores runs here today.

Colt Keith, 2B Detroit Tigers

Sticking with the mini-stacks here with our MLB DFS picks today. We have Kerry Carpenter hitting 2nd with Colt Keith hitting 3rd. Yes, Keith has been slumping lately, but he is a lefty bat in this Tigers lineup against Bryce Miller and if Miller continues to struggle on the road like he has done all season my guess is that Keith will be involved in that outcome here today.

Bligh Madris, 1B Detroit Tigers

Ok, I know, there are A LOT of Tigers written up today. But, on a small slate like this we have a basically free Bligh Madris hitting in the middle of the Tigers lineup here today. Over the last 10 games Madris is hitting .281 with an OPS of .799. He too hits from the left-side of the plate and a Carpenter, Keith, Madris stack is a nice value to help you spend up for other positions.
