2025 Player Outlook

Myers not only made his Major League debut in 2024, but to say he was phenomenal may be an understatement. Across 27 appearances (25 GS), Myers posted a 3.00 ERA (3.91 FIP), 3.53 K/BB ratio, and 1.17 WHIP. An 81 percent contact rate and 9.4 percent swinging strike rate doesn’t provide a ton of optimism for his strikeout ceiling, but if Milwaukee was smart, which I find them to be, they will incorporate his changeup more frequently, as it resulted in an .083 BAA and 44.4 percent whiff rate. He’s due for some ERA regression this year, but even so, the value at his current ADP cannot be ignored. In theory, he’ll continue to get better, and his 2025 season could look very similar to 2024, albeit with an ERA in the upper 3s.

Tobias Myers (oblique) told reporters that he’s expecting to rejoin the Brewers for his next start.

It’ll likely take place against the Giants next week. The 26-year-old said he “recovered well” from his rehab start Friday for Triple-A Nashville, and assuming no setbacks, the right-hander should be back with the Milwaukee rotation. He’s worthy of roster consideration after having a solid rookie campaign in 2024.

Myers is targeting roughly 65-70 pitches in his final rehab outing before returning next week to Milwaukee’s rotation mix. The 26-year-old righty allowed three runs over five innings on Sunday in his most recent rehab start.

Myers also walked one and struck out one batter on the afternoon. The expectation is that he’ll probably require a third and final minor league tune-up before he’s ready to rejoin the Brewers’ rotation, though given their urgent need for quality arms there they could opt to bring him back after this start if they feel like he’s ready.

Tobias Myers pitched 3 1/3 scoreless innings in his first rehab start for Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday.

Myers, returning from an oblique strain, threw 45 pitches before exiting. His velocity was down about two mph from last year, so he still has some building up to do. He’ll probably need to pitch at least twice more before coming off the injured list later this month.
