Orioles vs. Marlins Prediction: Thursday, July 25th

I am back for revenge today, but over the course of a 162-game season, you can’t win them all, and that was the case with the Orioles yesterday who fell to the lowly Marlins. That is now back-to-back losses for them against one of the worst teams in MLB, no way they get swept, right? RIGHT? 

Considering the money line is out of the question though, as its up over -200, but one thing to note is that the Orioles are 30-19 against the spread this season on the road for a 61.2% hit rate. So, give me Baltimore in a get-right spot on the run line to start off today’s MLB predictions. 

The next wager will be attacking Roddery Munoz of the Marlins who will start on the mound today against an angry Baltimore lineup. Munoz isn’t very good at all with a 5.14 ERA and 1.39 WHIP and hasn’t gone over his prop of 15.5 outs recorded but 3 times in the last 9 starts. Hard to see him going deep into this game given the offense opposing him today, so let’s go under on the outs prop. 

Lastly here, it's time to pick a bat for Baltimore. Last night I fell on my face with Gunnar Henderson and while I think he has potential again today, I am going to pass and go with Anthony Santander who is hitting .299 in the month of July with an .920 OPS. He is average against righties but today, in the early window, he’s going to mash against Munoz, so give me the over on 1.5 total bases. 

 

 

 

White Sox vs. Rangers Prediction: Thursday, July 25

After Corey Seager did us so right yesterday, I figured I should hone in on the Rangers as a whole as they get to face Jonathan Cannon today in a matinee matchup! Cannon may yet be a good MLB pitcher, but in 3 starts this month, that has not been the case with an ERA of 4.5 and just 11 strikeouts over 18 innings pitched. 

You do not want the Rangers putting the ball in play either, so if you can’t punch out, you’re in big trouble! A pair of player props are in order for my MLB picks today as well because of the matchup and because the money line matchup is way too chalky and the Rangers struggle to cover the run line overall. Josh Smith is the man for me to pick first as he’s hitting .308 at home this season and .269 against right handed pitching overall. 

I am sticking with hits/runs/RBIs for him today as the lineup around him should bring him in to score as well hitting 3rd. The other prop is on Corey Seager again today as he’s a stud, and after a home run yesterday, may be finding that stroke once again, so let’s go hits/runs/RBIs for him too!
