Looking for the top MLB Best Bets and Props for today? Fantasy Alarm has everything you need right here!

Wednesday offers another full slate of MLB games to bet today with some fantastic matchups. We have another early start with the Atlanta Braves and Boston Red Sox leading things off with another five games, including some potential Coors Field fireworks, starting up in the afternoon.

We’ll study the Vegas odds and lines to see if we want to invest, especially on a Patrick Corbin day, but with starting pitchers like Paul Skenes and Dylan Cease taking the mound in the evening, we are certainly going to take a long look at some strikeout props as well.

MLB Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 6/5

As expected, yesterday’s MLB predictions were a big bounce-back for us. Much needed for sure as the MLB prop bets roughed us up the days prior and put us back in the hole. Not great at this time of year, but sometimes that’s the risk you take when you bet in volume.

But we got a big boost from the Baltimore Orioles bats as well as some strong pitching efforts from the likes of George Kirby, Tyler Glasnow and even Ryan Pepiot who got off to a rough start but leveled off and gave us the effort we needed.

We’re still down just under one unit, but we’re ready to get that back now too. Let’s carry yesterday’s momentum into today’s slate!

  • Yesterday’s Record: 7-3
  • Season Record: 188-170-5
  • Bankroll: -0.79 units

Mets vs. Nationals Prediction: Wednesday, June 5

You knew our MLB best bets weren’t going to miss out on a Patrick Corbin day, even if the game does have an early start. He’s just that hittable. The Mets have responded well to the little roster shake-up from a couple of days ago and they do have solid numbers against lefthanded pitching this season. In fact, the Mets are currently posting a .320 wOBA with a strikeout rate below 20-percent against southpaws this season, so I fully expect them to take control of this game early.

Corbin may be coming off back-to-back quality starts, but several Mets hitters, including Pete Alonso (props are juiced, but you could throw a half-unit on him to go yard if you’re feeling it), have a fantastic track record against him. Just look at that 1.67 WHIP. The baserunners should circle him like a carousel at some point.

Twins vs. Yankees Prediction: Wednesday, June 5

While the Twins spent the better part of the first month surprising southpaws with some string efforts from their lefthanded bats, they have cooled off significantly and now have a team wOBA that has not only dropped to .315 against them, but the K-rate is now up to 21.3-percent, and they don’t draw any walks.

Maybe the return of Royce Lewis helps their cause, but probably not enough against Carlos Rodon. With five-straight quality starts, one of which came against these very same Twins bats, Rodon is looking fierce this season and giving the Yankees everything they hoped to see last season. I would like to see him get that K/9 back up to at least 9.00 on the season, but that should come in time.

His wOBA splits show him dominant over lefthanded hitting and righties haven’t had a whole lot of sustained success against him. I’m expecting him to continue his trend of at least six innings of work in my MLB picks today, and he should help stifle the Twins bats enough to give New York an early lead.

Mariners vs. Athletics Prediction: Wednesday, June 5

We’re going to go right back to the well on this game after hitting both our bets in last night’s MLB predictions. We’re going to play the under for the full game again as Logan Gilbert shouldn’t have too much difficulty with the A’s lineup, but also, Joey Estes should have some success against the Mariners bats as well.

He got hit hard by the Astros which has definitely skewed his numbers, but he also faced Seattle in his first start this season and limited them to one run over five innings. With the score staying down, we can also look to Gilbert on the strikeouts.

George Kirby punched out nine Oakland hitters last night and with their lineup striking out 26.5-percent of the time against righties this season and a very similar strikeout rate over the past seven days, Gilbert shouldn’t let us down. All we need is for Estes to give up a couple of early runs and Gilbert should take our bets to the cash-out window for some green.
