NFL Injury Report For Week 17: Fantasy Football Injuries
Unfortunately, those are three players that probably got you into your championship round or best ball championships.
Let's dive into what we’re watching for heading into Week 17 on this week's NFL injury report.
NFL Week 17 Injury Report: Quarterbacks
Jalen Hurts Injury Update - Concussion
The Eagles star quarterback has until Sunday to work his way through concussion protocol, but that’s where he currently resides. He was concussed in Week 16.
NFL Week 17 Injury Report: Running Backs
James Conner Injury Update - Knee
The good news is that head coach Jonathan Gannon made it seem as if James Conner’s knee injury isn’t all too serious, at least that’s what he told the media on Monday. He hasn’t officially ruled Conner out yet and he’s going to wait and see how it progresses throughout the week. The Cardinals are eliminated from playoff contention, so it remains to be seen if we see James Conner again this year.
Kenneth Walker Injury Update - Ankle
On the Seahawks estimated injury report on Monday, Kenneth Walker was listed as a DNP. Head coach Mike Macdonald said there’s no update on the severity, but Walker’s getting tests done and we should know within the next day or two.
Isaac Guerendo Injury Update - Hamstring
Head coach Kyle Shanahan said he expects Isaac Guerendo to return to practice on Wednesday the next time the team takes the field. He’s still day-to-day but is trending in the right direction.
Miles Sanders Injury Update - Ankle
It looks as if we’re going to see Miles Sanders return to the field before the end of the year. He’s going through the final stages of the “return to play” protocol.
J.K. Dobbins Injury Update - Knee
The Los Angeles Chargers opened up the 21-day practice window for J.K. Dobbins as he’s poised to make his return. There’s a strong possibility we get the return of Dobbins before the regular season.
Justice Hill Injury Update - Concussion
Justice Hill hasn’t practiced this week, which is a short week, because of a concussion. His Week 17 status doesn’t look promising.
NFL Week 17 Injury Report: Wide Receivers
CeeDee Lamb Injury Update - Shoulder
CeeDee Lamb has been very candid about how bad his shoulder injury is. It’s bad. But he’s going to play through it because he loves football and people/fans pay hard earned money to watch him play. Until we hear he’s not playing through the injury, we should believe he’s going to.
Drake London Injury Update - Hamstring
It was really good to hear head coach Raheem Morris mention that he thinks Drake London would have likely gone back into the game if it were more competitive. That sounds like a guy that’s going to suit up in Week 17, but we’ll know more as the week goes on.
George Pickens Injury Update - Hamstring
After logging a limited session on Sunday, George Pickens returned to practice in full on Monday and is expected to return to game action in Week 17. The Steelers play on Christmas day.
Zay Flowers Injury Update - Shoulder
Although Zay Flowers was unable to practice again on Monday, head coach John Harbaugh seemed optimistic he’d be able to play in Week 17. We’ve heard a LOT of coach speak from Harbaugh in the past, so we’ll see how true that ends up being.
Tank Dell Injury Update - Knee
Absolutely devastating injury. Hoping for nothing but a speedy recovery for Tank Dell as he gets surgery on a knee that suffered a dislocation, tear to the ACL, and other damage.
Jalen Tolbert Injury Update - Hand
We’ll see what happens moving forward with Jalen Tolbert, but he dislocated a finger during the Cowboys Week 16 win and left the game.
NFL Week 17 Injury Report: Tight Ends
David Njoku Injury Update - Knee
There have been more weeks that David Njoku has been on the injury report than there haven’t been and it’s always something different. This time around Njoku is dealing with a knee injury.
