Week 9 of the NFL season kicks off with a matchup between the Houston Texans and New York Jets.

This was a tough week for both teams as the Houston Texans learned that receiver Stefon Diggs suffered a torn ACL in Week 8 which will result in him missing the rest of the season. 

For the New York Jets, they lost their fifth straight game, falling to the New England Patriots and bringing their record to 0-2 since firing Robert Saleh and trading for Davante Adams.

Davante Adams NFL Underdog Pick: More Than 0.5 Rushing+Receiving TD's

 

Let us be bold here in Week 9 shall we? The Jets need to turn things around in a hurry after losing their fifth straight game last week and losing to the New England Patriots is a bad look. The quick turnaround time here could actually be helpful as it allows them to move on from the loss and look forward to tonight's Week 9 matchup.

Adams hasn't made the impact many expected but tonight is the night. A home matchup with Allen Lazard already ruled out should see Rodgers locking in on his two receivers today and when they get into the red zone I'm banking on Adams being the guy coming down with his first touchdown as a member of the Jets.

 

 

 

Tank Dell NFL Underdog Pick: Less Than 11.05 Fantasy Points

The Jets are 2.5-point favorites and the total here is set at just 42.5. With Stefon Diggs and Nico Collins both on IR the top receiver role goes to Dell who can stretch the field and make some big plays but now the Jets defense will be solely focused on preventing Dell from being the one to beat them. 

I'm not anticipating many points coming from the Texans here today and while Dell is going to get his targets and likely some catches as well, I just don't see him having a big enough day to eclipse 11.05 fantasy points.
