It’s been a while since we’ve seen this one, but the Week 3 NFL slate does indeed feature a Super Bowl rematch. Back in 2007, the Indianapolis Colts took down the Chicago Bears for QB Peyton Manning’s first Lombardi Trophy, and the two teams will match up again this Sunday. It may not be for all the marbles, but we still have our best Bears vs. Colts predictions.

You can decide if you’d like to fade or follow the best bet from our Bears vs. Colts picks, but you’ll be able to do so with a guaranteed $200+ FanDuel Sportsbook sign up bonus that we also have for you!

Bears vs. Colts Predictions for NFL Week 3, Sunday 9/22

As much as we’d love to reference a past Super Bowl, that game obviously doesn’t have anything to do with Bears vs. Colts predictions for this weekend. Well, we did mention Manning, and Chicago features another heavily touted rookie QB in Caleb Williams.

His NFL career has had a shaky start for sure, and this Sunday, he’ll be the counterpart to a #3 overall pick two drafts ago with Indy QB Anthony Richardson. These two young gunslingers could certainly lead the next generation of QBs, having us look back at this matchup years from now.

We’ll have to wait and see, but for now, we have two teams that have a combined one win so far this season.

Chicago Bears: Continuing To Develop Caleb

As has been the case since the 2024 NFL Draft, the primary storyline surrounding Chicago is former USC QB Caleb Williams. He’s considered to be the next best thing at the position but hasn’t looked like that just yet.

It certainly hasn’t been poor enough for it to be panic time in the Windy City, but it is still the number one thing every fan is monitoring. Thus far, we’ve seen him bailed out by his defense and special teams in Week 1, while Week 2 was a loss on Sunday Night Football to a QB that had a record setting rookie season - Houston Texans C.J. Stroud.

Indianapolis Colts: Dialing Up The Discipline

While there may be some Williams woes in Chicago, those are normal rookie growing pains. On the flip side, the Colts still have yet to get their first win of the season. However, we’re also not implying Richardson is the sole reason for that.

In Week 1, he led the team in rushing while tossing two touchdown passes, but the aforementioned Stroud simply outscored them. In Week 2, Indy had star RB Jonathan Taylor break 100 yards rushing, but it was untimely penalties and turnovers that cost them the game despite allowing just 16 points.

That lack of discipline isn’t going to fly with how well the Texans look to be playing, but will they clean things up for Week 3?

Bears vs. Colts Odds, Spreads, Total & Betting Lines

Before we help answer that question with the best bet from our Bears vs. Colts picks, here are the latest Bears vs. Colts odds at FanDuel Sportsbook:

Bears vs. Colts Predictions: Under 43.5 Points (-108 at FanDuel Sportsbook)

After everything that we’ve gone through thus far, you may have been surprised to see that the Bears vs. Colts odds have Indy as the favorites. Of course, it’s still a tight point spread, so we’re going to focus our Bears vs. Colts predictions elsewhere.

However, our best bet is still targeting what may end up being one of the biggest line movements of the entire season! After opening at 47 points, the total has plummeted to just 43.5 points. Even with that being the case, we still don’t feel as though it has been adjusted enough.

We’re expecting whichever team that gets to 20 points to win this game, which will be a struggle for them both based on what we’ve seen so far. Admittedly, you’ll see that Indy put up 27 points in Week 1, but that was more a product of Houston’s defensive lapses. That was proven last Sunday with the Colts scoring just 10 points against a porous Green Bay Packers defense that allowed 34 points in Week 1.

The Bears were in a similar scenario on the opening Sunday. While they won their matchup with the Tennessee Titans 24-17, the offense scored just three field goals for nine points. It was a punt block returned for a touchdown and a pick six of Titans QB Will Levis that won them that game.

Then, on SNF this past Sunday, that same Texans defense that gave up 27 to the Colts held Chicago to just 13 points. All that adds up to this - both teams have struggled to eclipse the 20-point barrier.

Therefore, the best bet from our Bears vs. Colts predictions is under 43.5 points (-108 at FanDuel Sportsbook).
