NBA DFS Showdown CPT/MVP Top Plays

Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks

Just an absolutely monumental night from Luka Doncic against the Atlanta Hawks. He scored 73 points on the most efficient shooting performance in NBA History according to Underdog Sports. He shot 25-33 from the floor and also dished out seven assists and grabbed 10 rebounds as well finishing with 101.5 fantasy points. It will be interesting to see what kind of night he posts tonight on the second night of a back-to-back. But if you do not play him, you know what the consequences could be.

Domantas Sabonis, Sacramento Kings

Sabonis is a nice consolation prize if you do not want to go to Luka tonight. You also can't pair both of them together because they are so expensive. He is $1,600 cheaper than Luka, but he just doesnt have quite the ceiling. What you do get is a guaranteed double-double, and 50 fantasy points because he has done it in 11 of his last 13 games. The Mavs are a bit thin up from as well, so I do not really see anyone being able to stop Sabonis tonight.

De'Aaron Fox, Sacramento Kings

If you really want to get crazy and pivot away from Doncic and Sabonis tonight Fox is your next best guy. He has a 50-fantasy point ceiling, but it's not like the other guys. Fox is coming off a nice 42 fantasy point performance against the Warriors where he finished with 29 game points and dished out five assists.  It was a nice bounce back from the prior game where he just could not get a shot to fall. Fox could take advantage of some tired legs that Dallas will have tonight, making him an appealing option.

NBA DFS Showdown UTIL Top Plays

Keegan Murray, Sacramento Kings

Keegan Murray is such a nice player for the Kings on both ends of the court. He has been a solid contributor for us as well scoring at least 30 fantasy points in six of his last eight games. Also, in his four games we have seen a more aggressive Murray as he has gotten up at least 12 shots. You can also bank on his counting stats solid as well. Play Murray tonight.

Tim Hardaway, Dallas Mavericks

With Luka going off last night against the Hawks, and Hardaway struggling from the floor, Hardaway just got out of Luka's way late. Hardaway was just 3-12 shooting but he did add four rebounds and dished out three dimes. This play also hinges on whether Kyrie Irving plays tonight or not. With Kyrie this season Hardaway has a 22% usage rate in 26 games. In the 16 games Kyrie has missed this season, it jumps to 26% along with his points per game going from 16.7  to 20.1 according to statmuse.com.

Kevin Huerter, Sacramento Kings

All aboard the Kevin Huerter roller coaster. Man, this guy has been so good at times this season, but at other times, he has just killed your lineups. He is $1,400 cheaper than his teammate Malik Monk and they have around the same ceiling each night, so give me the cheaper guy. Over Huerter's last four games, he has shot 45% from behind the arc on 31 attempts. Let's ride the hot shooting wave tonight against a Mavericks team with tired legs, and is coming off such a monumental moment.

Harrison Barnes, Sacramento Kings

Where has this resurgence come from, from Harrison Barnes? I am not sure I can even call it a resurgence because I don't know if we have ever seen this from Barnes in his career. (Checks notes) this is the second time in his career that he has scored over 30 points in back-to-back games, and the first time since 2016. He will likely be widely owned tonight, but be careful. In the game before those two games, he scored just four fantasy points. I do not expect a huge game from Barnes tonight, but at $5,600 his price is enticing.

NBA DFS Showdown Value Top Plays

Josh Green, Dallas Mavericks

Josh Green is sitting at just slightly over 5K on DraftKings. He has played over 30 minutes in six straight games and scoring at least 20 fantasy points in each. Green ended up being a nice running mate with Luka last night as he was the second-leading scorer for the Mavericks with 21 points on 8-12 shooting. I do not expect those shooting numbers to stay in this one on the second night of a back-to-back, but he should still be solid.

Grant Williams, Dallas Mavericks

Derrick Jones injured his wrist last night and had to exit early. I would be surprised if he is ready to go in this one. This should lead to more minutes for Grant Willaims who saw 28 with Jones out. He finished with 21 fantasy points on nine points five rebounds and four assists. If Jones is out Williams should hit value at his price of just $3,400 on DraftKings.
