NBA DFS Picks, Projections, Lineups, Injuries & More Today: Sunday Playbook

Young's been fantastic lately and the scoring has been on one too. Without Johnson, Bogdanovic and Capela this year, he's averaging a 32.5% USG and averages 1.3 FP/min. This is such a fun game and clearly the best on the board.

The Spurs have finally been surpassed by the 76ers as the worst defense of the month, but 29th isn't exactly great. Curry played 33 minutes upon returning from injury so there's no concerns about limitations.

Like we said last time out, we're not fading Dennis Schroder because of a foul trouble laden game. If/when Cade is officially ruled out, we're just playing Schroder again. He has a 24% USG and averages 1.08 FP/min.

We should see KJ Simpson start here with LaMelo Ball out for the year. He's been very solid as a starter, he just needs to keep his hands to himself because he's in foul trouble often, lol. This matchup comes against the 30th ranked defense in the league.

We've sniffed this one out. Giannis in = Rollins starting. Giannis out = KPJ starts. I think Rollins' is a solid play here because his defense will be needed on Trae Young. If he makes shots he has a great ceiling at 4.1K.

As of now, I'd list Elfrid Payton as a GPP play, but if Jordan Hawkins is ruled out, we'll reconfigure our thoughts. He's played 23+ minutes in b2b games and has 23+ DKP and 10+ assists in each. The minutes weren't trending great in the 1st half of last game before the blowout, just for the record.

This isn't the easiest spot, but Edwards has a ceiling that I love exploring when his shot is falling.

Daniels has many different paths to success and if he puts them altogether in one game, his ceiling is HIGH, especially in this game environment.

If Beasley makes shots he has a massive ceiling. He's the second leading scorer on DET and without Cade Cunningham, his USG is great.

The Charlotte injury report is incredibly long and there's a chance we see Smith enter the starting lineup. He has a pretty high ceiling at this price when his shot is falling.

Brown slotted right back into the starting lineup last game and played 32 minutes scoring 36 DKP. NOLA is very short-handed and Brown should be plugged into the 30 minutes again.

This is in the playbook if the Hawks go back to starting Kejci again. Not sure they will, but he was impactful as a starter. He should have a solid role if Caris LeVert (quest) sits out.

Thompson only played 28 minutes last time out but it's disguised by early foul trouble that limited him to just 4 1st Q minutes. Thompson still had 43 DKP in that game and is in an elite game environment in this one. He has a massive ceiling because of his ability to do basically everything is so high.

I don't love the Kyle Kuzma price, truthfully, but I do like the aggressiveness last time out taking 18 shots over 38 minutes. It helped Kuzma that KPJ moved to the bench and they're without Lillard. He's definitively the second option offensively. 

Getting to Giannis is great here. Atlanta is going to struggle to guard him and he's very popular.  He has a massive ceiling and a great floor.

When you simply take Ball, Miller, Williams, and Mann off the floor, Miles Bridges has a 6% USG bump up to 34% and averages 1.34 FP/min. He missed all of his shots last time out, but he has a great ceiling. 

Looks like we're going to get the return of Tobias Harris after a one-game absence. It's not an easy spot, but without Cunningham and Ivey, Tobias Harris has a 22% USG and averages 1.08 FP/min.

In GPPs, Keldon Johnson is interesting, especially with how poor SF is. It's a bad position. Johnson has played 27+ minutes in two straight games and has 35 DKP in each.

It's worth mentioning that Charles Bassey is going to make his return here so there's just more depth at C for SA. I'd assume they start Sochan at C again because he played so well last time out, but the Spurs change their center starter game-to-game.

He's not exactly the best FP/min player, but the lotto pick from this years draft has shown a little bit of late. He's coming off a double-double and although he's listed as Q, he will play mid-20s minutes if he suits up. He likely won't start, but he's so cheap on DK that he's firmly in play.

The price is what it is, but it should depress the ownership a bit. He's great per minute sitting at 1.37 FP/min without Tari Eason this year and has a 27.8% USG as well. Phoenix is a bottom-10 defense in the league this year to boot. 

Gobert is scoring much better as he's poured in 15+ points in three straight games but that could come to an end in an instant. That said, this whole game will be spent in a paint battle against Jalen Duren and the Pistons are a team attacking the rim constantly. DET is fifth in pts in the paint. There are a lot of shot blocking opportunity.

Missi has settled into a high 20s minutes role and has been highly productive. When he scores to go along with his elite rebounding, he has a high ceiling at this price. Could have a slightly higher minutes cap if Kelly Olynyk (Q) is ruled out.

Nurk is a chalk monster and a great play at that. Nurkic has been a 1.24 FP/min player since joining the Hornets. Without Ball & Williams this year, Nurkic is up at 1.37 FP/min and has a 23% USG.

The last time that we saw Mark Williams miss, the Hornets went with a center split between Nurkic and Diabate and even gave us some Taj Gibson/Diabate overlay as well. Diabate is so cheap and you could absolutely get here even if he plays low-20's minutes. He's a good FP/min player.

FD ONLY - The Trail Blazers are down a bunch of key pieces and potentially without Anfernee Simons too as he's listed as questionable. It could be the Deni Avdija show on Sunday.

FD ONLY - Guy has a massive ceiling. Without Brunson and McBride this year, Towns has a 35% USG and averages 1.6 FP/min.

FD ONLY - Anunoby has been fantastic lately and he's scored 23+ actual points in five straight along with 35+ FDP in four of them. He's put up 40+ in four of five as well.

FD ONLY - Wright was very solid in his debut start with the Knicks playing 30 minutes and tallying 22.6 FDP. He's just 4K in this one and is in line to play similar minutes and have a similar stat line.
