NBA DFS Picks, Projections, Lineups, Injuries & More Today: Sunday Playbook

With Jalen Williams and Luguentz Dort off the floor this season SGA has a 40.5% usage rate while averaging 1.81 FP/Min. Yes, SGA is already an elite player but that's a near 6% bump in usage and an additional .20 FP/min. He's my top spend up of the slate.

The Nets are on the second leg of a back-to-back here and it feels like a spot that Trae Young can take advantage of with Atlanta a 5.5-point favorite in a game with a 228 total.

No Mike Conley and a great matchup against the Jazz. Yes, Minnesota is a huge favorite but this game also has a 233.5 total where the Timberwolves should put up a good amount of points.

So, Anfernee Simons is active today, Scoot was set to start if Simons was ruled out. That being said, I still like Scoot in tournaments in this matchup against the Raptors given his per minute production but Simons is also in play here against the Raptors.

D'Angelo Russell has been ruled out and Cam Thomas is done for the season. We got 31 minutes for Johnson against the Celtics and he was really good, finishing with 21 points and six rebounds. I have no issues running it back here today against the Hawks.

Quickley and Barrett are ruled out already. It's clear the Raptors are limiting Barnes and Poeltl as well. Shead should start here and he has a good matchup against Portland.

Currently projected to be among the highest rostered players on the slate, Edwards is a really good price and of course the matchup against the Jazz presents an opportunity for a big time output. I definitely like him in cash games but it has been a bit since we really got that huge game.

Jerami Grant out of the lineup continues to give Sharpe big time playing time in the starting unit. He has elite scoring upside and the price tag is more than fair.

Another Raptor's player that should be in for a decent amount of playing time given who is in and out of the lineup. Lawson had huge games against the Wizards and 76ers earlier in the week and should see another 30 minutes today.

Lu Dort and Jalen Williams have already been ruled out. Aaron Wiggins is also questionable. This should lock Joe into at least 25-to-30 minutes at a minimum here today and we know Joe has some nice offensive upside when that three-point shot is falling.

Starting with Ziaire Williams now ruled out. We've seen him have some nice offensive upside this season when extended and given the playing time. That said, still competing for shots with Cam Johnson.

Yes, the 13.5-point spread is a bit of a worry but the Hornets do have some guys that are playing good basketball right now so maybe this game is competitive long enough for a full run of minutes from Leonard here. We are really starting to get some vintage Kawhi performances with 40+ fantasy points in three of the last four games including a 51 FP effort against the Pelicans two  games ago.

Much like the rest of Minnesota today. McDaniels is a good price in an elite matchup. I'm not quite sure he has the huge ceiling but he should come close to returning the 5-6x we look for.

Currently questionable but obviously becomes pretty popular if active given that Jalen Williams and Lu Dort have already been ruled out for the Thunder today.

Another cheap Raptors play that will play big minutes today. Battle has seen 36 and 38 minutes of playing time over the last two games while going for 22 and 21 fantasy points. While the point totals are low, we do love to see the 11 and 15 shot attempts. If they drop the fantasy point upside is there.

Caris LeVert has been ruled out today. The last game that LeVert missed we saw Mann play nearly 33 minutes off the bench which includes him closing. Now, that game also was without Trae Young but seeing as LeVert typically closes, I'd look to see if Mann continues to pick up those minutes.

At his price tag we really need to be getting the 60+ fantasy points and we got that against the Pacers yesterday after he scored 34 points with 10 rebounds, seven assists, three blocks and one steal. The main issue is that Giannis hasn't really been paying off this price tag and if we are only going to get mid-to-high 50s then I'd rather take my shot with SGA or even Trae Young today.

He couldn't score 60 fantasy points forever but Bridges was still pretty damn good against the Spurs, scoring 21 points with seven rebounds, eight assists and one block. He shot 50% from the floor while finally shooting poorly from three-point range. This is going to be a tough day for Bridges as he likely draws the Kawhi Leonard defense  but he is running hot.

Cover of the playbook today. Also expected to be the highest rostered player on the slate. When Deni has gotten big minutes this year the fantasy points have followed and this Raptors matchup is prime for another 50+ fantasy point effort.

Johnson has a 25.5% usage rate with D'Angelo Russell and Cam Thomas off of the floor this season. He figures to lead the team in shot attempts and likely scoring here today.

In two of the last three games we've gotten over 30 minutes from Risacher and he responded by giving up 34 and 28 fantasy points. This would be a matchup where if he can just get the minutes we should get the production with Brooklyn not a strong team.

Williams continues to look strong and while Ivica Zubac is having himself a career year, I wouldn't be shocked to see Williams put up his fourth straight double-double.

John Collins, Jordan Clarkson and Keyonte George already ruled out. The Jazz also decided to limit Lauri Markkanen last game instead of ruling him out so they could avoid a fine. All of this leads to Kessler being in a great spot to fill the stat sheet and play a good amount of minutes.

Same song and dance. The Timberwolves are big favorites today. The price for Gobert is really good and he too has been strong. Look for another 5x day here and great for cash games.

I really like the Blazers side of this matchup today. The Trail Blazers are without both Robert Williams, Jabari Walker and Jerami Grant. We should get 28-30 minutes from Clingan which should lock him in for double-digit rebounds, some nice shot block upside and maybe a double-double

Opposite of Clingan here is Orlando Robinson. He's played over 30 minutes in each of the last two games and put up some nice numbers for us as well. Yes, Clingan is a good rebounder and shot blocker but Robinson is good enough if he's going to get this type of playing time.
