Aaron Wiggins shot 8-of-18 from the field and 10-of-10 from the foul line in Sunday’s win over the Pelicans, scoring 28 points with seven rebounds, seven assists, two steals and two blocks in 37 minutes.
Aaron Wiggins led the Thunder with 35 points (14-of-24 FGs), seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and four three-pointers in a 145-111 win over the Jazz on Friday.
With the typical starters getting the night off, Wiggins was the primary scorer for Oklahoma City in this game, which allowed him to have his highest-scoring performance since his 41-point night in February. He had 22 points in the first half and kept it going after the break. Wiggins will return to being a valuable reserve for the Thunder in the postseason, but unless they rest him for the finale in New Orleans on Sunday, he should be in for another big scoring night to wrap up the regular season.
Aaron Wiggins (Achilles) and Alex Caruso (ankle) are not on the injury report against the Rockets on Friday.
Both wings will be back in the lineup after Wiggins missed Oklahoma City’s last five games, while Caruso only missed one game. The Thunder will be at nearly full strength for the showdown between the top two teams in the West, which means Isaiah Joe and Cason Wallace should lose out on some minutes.
Aaron Wiggins (Achilles) has been ruled out against the Pistons on Wednesday.
