NBA DFS Picks, Projections, Lineups, Injuries & More Today: Monday Playbook

First and foremost, the game needs to stay competitive with SGAs price now up to 11K and up. If this game stays close, it's the best game environment on the board. If Josh Giddey doesn't play, however, it's hard to imagine it stays overly competitive.

In Morant's first game back with Memphis, he played 31 minutes and had a robust 36% USG rate. He almost triple-doubled in the first game without former head coach Taylor Jenkins. The minutes should trend upwards and this is another great game environment with 236.5 implied points and a five-point spread.

There are few players that look better than Tyler Herro today. He has a 29% USG and averages 1.15 FP/min without Wiggins and company. He gets a matchup against the Wizards who rank 28th in DRtg and 4th in pace.

Since the All-Star break, Tyrese Haliburton has been hoopin'. In 382 minutes without Bennedict Mathurin, Haliburton's nearly been averaging 1.5 FP/min, which is incredibly ELITE. 

Collin Sexton may be the only Jazz starter active in this game, but even he's questionable. With Collins, Clarkson, Markkanen, and Kessler out, Collier has a 22.6% USG and .97 FP/min. If Sexton is ruled out, Collier's FP/min rises to 1.03.

I'm OK with getting to Simpson. I definitely don't love the price, but the minutes should be great with LaMelo Ball is out. He played 35 minutes on Sunday and put up just 23 DKP and now his price is up $500 on DK. In two of his last three starts he's had a USG less than 15% with the third being at 27%.

The Bulls are down a LOT of guards and wings and Coby White has been a DAWG without them. Obviously this spot isn't great as the Bulls are 15-point dogs, but the numbers are the numbers. He sees a 5.3% USG bump up to 30.2% USG, which both lead the team. White also has 1.15 FP/min too.

There are a lot of Mavericks you have to remove to get the correct sample, but there's a 300 minute sample for Dinwiddie when you do and he's been great with all of them out/gone. He has a 20% USG, 31% AST, and 1.13 FP/min. Dallas does not have many guards available with Brandon Williams unavailable so we should see Dinwiddie play a LOT here.

As long as he doesn't bottom out and look terrible, he'll play around 30 minutes. Without Collins, Clarkson, Markkanen, and Kessler this year, he has a 28.6% USG and averages 1.13 FP/min. If Sexton sits too, George has a 30% USG.

I'm interested to see who's available for Charlotte in this game, but Smith will be and the minutes have been solid lately. He's had a 20% or better in seven of eight games because he's never seen a shot he doesn't look. He played 35 minutes on Sunday and has played 25 or more in seven straight.

Miami was without Andrew Wiggins, Duncan Robinson, and Nikola Jovic last game and they started Larsson and he was fantastic in this game. He got to 30 minutes, but only two fourth quarter minutes for what that's worth. It's risky, but could be worth it if he's extended again.

Look, small-forward is AWFUL today. At least how it currently stands. Tatum is going to play this game with either a limited Jaylen Brown or not Brown at all, which puts him firmly in play as the top spend up of the day when you factor in positional eligibility stuff.

If you look at Aaron Nesmith's last couple of games, you'd shy away from this play immediately, but the Indiana has been involved in blowouts and Mathurin was healthy. Mathurin's not playing here and Nesmith gets a matchup against a team allowing more 3PM than everyone else. They also allow the highest three-point percentage in the league, too. Love this low-owned play.

Brice Sensabaugh is out there for a good time, not a long time. When he's out there he has one objective; put shots up. With who's out for Utah off the floor this year, he has nearly a 24% USG and averages .94 FP/min. If Sexton sits, that balloons to 25.5% USG and 1 FP/min. The minutes are the one concern because they've rarely touched 30 this year.

We're going to see Highsmith extended again because nothing's changed for Miami at all. They're down a bunch of pieces and although Highsmith has an incredibly low floor, he's been solid notching 21+ DKP in four of five games. This is an elite spot too against Washington.

Anthony Davis' minutes are trending upwards as he got to 30 last time out. He had a 32% USG in each of the last two games after only posting a 20% USG in his return game. This spot is a cakewalk as Brooklyn ranks 23rd defensively.

It's been a very up and down season for Adebayo and I think this spot is definitely good, but the price is where I have a little hesitation. He has a massive ceiling against an awful Wizards defense who also plays really fast.

The last time Cameron Johnson sat out Trendon Watford played 26 minutes off the bench but this time around, Noah Clowney – who started – is also out. Is there a chance Watford starts here? He hasn't started a single game this year and only once has he played north of 30 minutes.

Buzelis is coming off a career-high and has flashed an extremely high ceiling of late. It's a tough matchup, but without all the guys the team is without tonight, he has a 21% USG and averages 1.02 FP/min. He should play 30 minutes even if OKC blows them out.

29, 24, 26, and 25. Those are the minutes Salaun has played in the last four games. With the Hornets going nowhere but the draft lottery, playing Salaun makes a lot of sense. He's good peripherally and has a solid ceiling when he makes shots.

At this price, Domantas Sabonis has GPP winning upside. He's been incredible inconsistent from a production standpoint because his team has been so inconsistent. He's a triple-double threat here.

Per minute, nobody is on the level of Kyle Filipowski on the Jazz with all the players out. Filipowski has a 20% USG and 1.16 FP/min to be exact. He's smashed every time he's been extended lately. The last seven times he's played at least 28 minutes, he's scored 38+ DKP.

Anytime we see Kel'el Ware extended he's great. Anytime he doesn't, he ruins lineups. This matchup is great as they face off against the Wizards. He's well over 1 FP/min this year without Wiggins and company.

We likely see Tshiebwe back in the starting lineup in this game. He started last time out and played 26 minutes. He's super active on the glass and that's where he excels, on both offense and defense.

FD ONLY - We're in the midst of one of those stretches for Jalen Green. He's scored 30+ actual points in three of four games and in those contests he's posted 37+ FDP in each. The Lakers' don't have an elite point-of-attack guard defender that should be able to contain Green in this one.

FD ONLY - You can always play Luka Doncic. Always. His shot hasn't fallen particularly much lately, but he does SO much while out there there's always a case to paying up for him, even in tough matchups.

ADDED - Man, Obi Toppin should have a pretty good runway at more playing time here. He's a very good FP/min player and IND is down two rotation pieces, including one starter in Turner, a position he operates as a small ball center.

ADDED - We've seen this before. Myles Turner out = Thomas Bryant starts. He's played 27+ minutes in three straight that Turner's missed and has topped 30 twice over that span. He's over 1 FP/min without Turner and Mathurin this year.

ADDED - Siakam's numbers look GREAT without Turner and Mathurin this year as he's at a 27% USG and averages 1.2 FP/min to boot. Just need the minutes to tick up and I think they should in a competitive game.
