Mets vs. Brewers Prediction: Thursday, October 3rd

When it comes to winner take all games I don’t really like betting on a winner and luckily with the betting markets we have these days I don’t have to! I do give the slight lean to the Mets but outside of that I wouldn’t feel good making it an MLB pick on the article.

Instead, I am going to back both pitchers tonight as they came into the postseason with good numbers with Jose Quintana holding a 0.72 ERA in the month of September and posting 23 strikeouts over 25 innings pitched then Tobias Myers kept an ERA in the low 3s for Milwaukee.

I think the start of this game goes quickly with each pitcher hitting their spots and the offenses trying to settle into what should be a nerve-racking game for everyone. 4.5 runs just seems like too much in the opening 5 innings tonight so give me the under on that number.

I just talked up the pitchers, but my other MLB prediction of the day is going to come on the bat of the young star Jackson Chourio who has emerged as this postseason’s breakout star with 4 hits, 2 home runs and 3 RBIs through the opening 2 games of this series.

Chourio hit lefties well all season long too hitting .267 against them so he may be able to jump on Quintana and the Mets bullpen tonight. Nothing crazy from me on the prop though, just him to go over 1.5 hits/runs/RBIs!
