Rangers vs. White Sox Prediction: Thursday, August 29th

For the game spotlight on these MLB best bets, it's going to be the Rangers on the road against the White Sox today! Chicago is in absolute freefall, let's call it how it is, and they may not even win 40 games at this point. It's an embarrassment to the sport, but at least we can attack them from a betting angle today!

I have the Rangers winning this game of course but the money line is so far gone it's not even worth the time. So instead, the MLB pick to start this article will be the Rangers on the run line as the White Sox are 28-40 against the spread at home this season. No need to stop there on the MLB predictions though as it's time to fire up some player props! 

Nick Nastrini will be on the hill today for the White Sox and his ERA has ballooned to 8.39 in recent weeks. He is just plain bad but his OPS against lefties will be getting him into trouble today. That’s where Corey Seager comes in as he’s a lefty bat of course but is hitting .291 with a .944 OPS against right-handed pitching this season. He should have no problem going over his 1.5 total bases tonight based on those numbers, so lock it in! 

The last of my MLB predictions for this matchup is fading Nastrini and his terrible pitching acumen. In his 6 starts this season, he has failed to top 14.5 outs recorded in 4 of 6 outings and I don’t think he’s going to do very well against a team that doesn’t strikeout much and has the hitters in the lineup that the Rangers do. Give me the under 14.5 outs for Nastrini tonight and watch him fall apart once again.
