It should be a busy day with the MLB trade deadline, but we always have time to offer up the top MLB Best Bets and Props for today. The Tuesday MLB slate is packed with action and plenty of strong pitching which should lead us to a number of strikeout props, outs-recorded and first-five inning money lines.

There’s an early start with the Cleveland Guardians visiting the Detroit Tigers at 1:10 PM ET, but the real excitement starts in the early evening with stars like Gerrit Cole, Aaron Nola, Corbin Burnes and Justin Steele on the mound. We’ll check the latest Vegas odds and line, but likely focus our energy in the evening and see if we can’t keep this winning streak alive.

MLB Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 7/30

While a seven-run third inning for the Red Sox crushed our hopes of a low-scoring game from Monday’s MLB predictions, we struck paydirt with Nick Pivetta’s rebound against a strikeout-prone Mariners team. We also hit on the under for strikeouts for Simeon Woods Richardson to give us a winning day, though had Jack Flaherty not been scratched due to MLB trade rumors, we could have done better.

Still, a win is a win and so long as we turn a profit, even if it’s a small one, we’re feeling good about it. Onwards to another winning day!

Marlins vs. Rays Prediction: Tuesday, July 30

We have two notorious sellers here at the MLB trade deadline and both have lost some offensive assets. The Rays have dealt away both Randy Arozarena and Isaac Paredes and while they did get a bat in Christopher Morel in return on one of those deals, he can rack up the strikeouts with the best of them.

Miami has dealt away Jazz Chisholm and DFA’d Josh Bell, but that might not be the last thing they do before today’s 6 PM ET deadline, so offensive prowess is not something we’re looking at here to start off our MLB best bets today. I expect the score to stay down while both pitchers pull in some solid strikeout totals early.

Edward Cabrera may have some control issues, but he’s fanned at least six in two of his last three starts and the Rays already had a 23.7-percent strikeout rate against righties before they started dealing away assets. There is some mild concern regarding Jeffrey Springs’ first start back, but he’s made more than a few rehab starts to work up his pitch count and the Marlins are still punching out against southpaws 22-percent of the time.

Blue Jays vs. Orioles Prediction: Tuesday, July 30

We’ve got a couple of team aces on the mound for this one, but both have been notorious for giving up early runs. In fact, Chris Bassitt has allowed 15 earned runs over his last four starts (21.2 innings) and only pitched past the fifth inning once in that span. He’s struck out six, though, in each of his last three starts, so while I think the Orioles bats can get to him, he’ll still rack up the strikeouts our MLB predictions need to cash today.

It's a little different with Corbin Burnes. He hasn’t been hit as hard as Bassitt, but he has had trouble with the long ball, allowing seven home runs over his last six starts. On top of that, his strikeout rate has dipped and he’s only more than five strikeouts twice in his last six starts. The Jays have just a 20.1-percent K-rate against righties this season and that number has dipped to 18.5-percent over the past week.
