Chisholm remains in New York’s lineup for the second straight game while he awaits an appeal for the one-game suspension he was handed on Friday evening for violating the league’s social media policy. There figures to be a resolution on the matter at some point this weekend. We’ll have updates on the developing situation as it continues to unfold.

The 27-year-old infielder was ejected on Thursday for arguing balls and strikes and then immediately jumped on social media in the locker room to continue his criticism of the home plate umpire. He is appealing the suspension — and will be in the Yankees’ lineup on Friday — while he awaits the results of that appeal.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Giants on Sunday.

He certainly needed that. Jazz now has five home runs and 10 RBI on the season, but he’s also slashing .169/.246/.458. Coming into Sunday’s game, Jazz was sporting a career-high 61.3 percent fly ball rate and a career-high 16 percent swinging strike rate with a career-low contact rate. It seems that he has leaned into a power-centric approach in Yankee Stadium, but he has become too all-or-nothing. In 54 second-half games last season, he hit 12 home runs, but he had just a 34 percent fly ball rate, so there’s no reason for him to have gone to this extreme. Fantasy managers will hope the swing begins to level out over time.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 3-for-4 with two homers and five RBI on Sunday, powering the Yankees to a 12-3 blowout victory over the Brewers.

Chisholm took Milwaukee starter Aaron Civale deep in the third inning for a two-run blast before clobbering a three-run shot against reliever Joel Payamps a couple frames later to record the sixth multi-homer performance of his career. The 27-year-old speedster was a revelation last year following a midseason trade to New York and he’s off to a sizzling-hot start this season at the plate, hitting .417 (5-for-12) with three homers and six RBI through three games. He’s one of the most electrifying power/speed combo bats in the fantasy landscape and appears poised for a monster year in his first full season in Pinstripes.
