The top MLB Best Bets and Props for today can be found right here on Fantasy Alarm.

The MLB schedule is a light one today with just seven games on the slate. We’ll likely stay focused more on the four games that start up in the evening but, obviously, will be more hunting for value, so we probably won’t ignore the early games.

MLB Picks, Predictions, & Best Bets Today, 5/30

We continue to grind away and build that bankroll back up. Yesterday’s MLB predictions had us turning a small profit once again, so while the score wasn’t big, we’ve scrapped back this week and have been able to string together a few successful days.

The prop bets are where we scored the biggest, hitting the majority of our strikeout bets. The day would have been better, but it turned out that the Brewers were the Shota Imanaga kryptonite we were all fearing. No worries, as profit is profit and we look to put together another winning effort today.

  • Yesterday’s Record: 5-4
  • Season Record: 173-147-4
  • Bankroll: +8.46 units

*Each of my below MLB picks for today will have their respective odds alongside.

Yankees vs. Angels Prediction: Thursday, May 30

We’re going to attack this Yankees vs. Angels game to start today’s MLB best bets in very similar fashion to what we did two days ago when Nestor Cortes was on the mound. It’s not so much what Carlos Rodon has done over his past few starts, because he’s been strong with four-straight quality starts. But this is about how the Angels handle lefthanded pitching.

This season, the Angels have posted a .338 wOBA, fourth highest in the league, against southpaws with a .326 BABIP and a strikeout rate that sits more than just a few percentage points lower. The lineup looks bleak without Mike Trout, but it’s still effective against lefties. We’re also going to grab some value in an Angels hitter who just dominates against lefthanded pitching. My Yankees can win this game, for sure, but I’ll opt to play it safe here.

Diamondbacks vs. Mets Prediction: Thursday, May 30

The Mets are just a hot mess right now. Not only did the ejection and subsequent tantrum see Jorge Lopez jettisoned from the team, but Edwin Diaz landed on the IL and Pete Alonso left with a hand injury. X-rays were negative, but they’re seemingly taking a closer look, so he probably won’t even be in the lineup tonight.

We’ll stay focused on the DBacks side of things today and bet on starting pitcher Zac Gallen who should have no trouble dominating this Mets lineup. I’ve got one note and a reason why we’re looking at Gallen for the win in my MLB predictions today.

Not only has Mets starter Christian Scott been getting touched up a lot lately, allowing home runs in three-straight outings, but Gallen’s thrown four-straight quality starts and his outs-recorded prop line at 17.5 is wildly juiced up. I’ve seen it at -175 in some places, so Vegas agrees he goes far. The rest, the Arizona bats and a dominant bullpen, will handle themselves.

Royals vs. Twins Prediction: Thursday, May 30

We’ve gone through this series pretty well so far, winning a number of bets in our MLB picks write-ups thanks to the recent performance of the Royals offense. It won’t stop today against righthander Chris Paddack. He’s had decent outings back-to-back, but he’s allowed a home run in each of his last four starts and his pitch-counts are pretty ridiculous.

Needing almost 100 pitches to get through five innings isn’t going to help against a team whose plate discipline has continued to improve over the past few weeks. Over the past week, the Royals have posted a .326 wOBA with a strikeout rate below 20-percent. On the year, against righthanded pitching, their K-rate drops below 19-percent. With the way they’re swinging the bats right now, we’ll side with them against a pitcher who is struggling with his command.

  • Expert Royals vs. Twins Picks:
    • Kansas City First 5 Innings Money Line (+105 on BetMGM Sportsbook) DO NOT BET – Sorry folks, but we just got word that Brady Singer was scratched due to illness. This line has moved dramatically away from our original bet so if you haven't locked it in yet, do not use this. I have so it will count towards my record and bankroll, win or lose, but at +130.
    • Chris Paddack Under 4.5 Strikeouts (-110 on BetMGM Sportsbook)
