NHL DFS Playbook November 25th
Recommended DFS Starting Goalies
Top Options for Saves
Joseph Woll vs Pittsburgh Penguins
Devon Levi vs New Jersey Devils
Daniel Vladar vs Colorado Avalance
Best Odds for a Win
Casey DeSmith vs San Jose Sharks
Logan Thompson vs Arizona Coyotes
Ivan Prosvetov vs Calgary Flames
Favorite Goalies to Use for DFS Lineups
Logan Thompson, G, Vegas Golden Knights
Vegas at home is a sure thing as you'll get in the NHL this season with a 8-1-1 record thus far. With that in our back pocket they continue to be one of the most defensively consistent teams as well and the Coyotes are hit for miss most nights. I don't see a giant ceiling here for Thompson but the play is a good one.
Ilya Sorokin, G, New York Islanders
This game should be slow moving between the Islanders and Flyers tonight and Sorokin remains one of the games best netminders. New York doesn't take many chances at allowing breakouts either and the Flyers have been fading since their early season charge. Sorokin just played the Flyers too 3 days ago in a 3-2 win with 34 saves, lets do that again!
Tristan Jarry, G, Pittsburgh Penguins
I told myself I shouldn't do this but every time I write up a DFS playbook for the NHL I need my signature “catch the falling knife” play of the day. We all know the Maple Leafs offense is amazing and its scary to start a goalie against them but I will say this, the Pittsburgh defense has been better allowing just 3 goals in 2 games and they are playing desperate. Jarry also has 3 shutouts this season and if he's on look out, but that isn't always the case.
Recommended DFS Skaters
Highest Implied Goal Totals
Vancouver Canucks vs Kaapo Kahkonen (3.8)
New Jersey Devils vs Devon Levi (3.73)
Colorado Avalanche vs Daniel Vladar (3.7)
Favorite Skaters to Use for DFS Lineups
Jack Hughes, C, New Jersey Devils
You can't keep a good player down for too long and with just 1 point in 3 games since returning from injuries he is going to pop off soon. The Sabres allow the perfect chance for that as the defense is shaky and they allow the 9th most DFS points to centers on the season.
J.T. Miller, C, Vancouver Canucks
There are other players that can go bigger on this team but nobody has the floor that Miller does this season with now 9 games over 11+ DFS points in the last 10 games. He has 30 points on the season and the Sharks are very bad, I'm betting he adds to his total tonight.
Brock Boeser, W, Vancouver Canucks
Another Canucks player here as the Sharks allow the 2nd most DFS points to right wingers this season! Boeser is having the season many expected in previous years but better late than not at all! High volume of chances and shots on goal, the price under 7k in excellent too at DK.
Valeri Nichuskin, W, Colorado Avalanche
Avalanche at home means many goals normally and Nichuskin has had his fair share with 9 already this season. He has also added 22 shots on goal in the last 5 games and the Flames are really looking for who they are and its not a good one. Top line play with Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen is a huge boost too.
Alex Pietrangelo, D, Vegas Golden Knights
Many people on the slate tonight will be on Quinn Hughes and Cale Makar and I don't blame them but the prospect of getting Vegas under owned is something to look at. Coyotes allow the 8th most DFS points to blue liners this season and Pietrangelo is on the ice constantly. Fair price for him too tonight, just needs some shots and a point to make it worth while.

Player News
Dolphins signed No. 13 overall pick DT Kenneth Grant to a four-year contract.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that Grant will sign his contract today. The former Michigan defensive tackle is expected to fill a major void left by Christian Wilkins, who left for the Raiders in the 2024 offseason. Grant totaled 32 tackles, three sacks, and seven TFLs in his final season at Michigan and excelled at stopping the run while also generating 27 pressures in his final season, per PFF.
Daulton Varsho picked up three hits, three RBI and a homer in a win over the Angels on Thursday.
Varsho has only played in seven games this year, but they’ve been seven good ones. He’s homered three times already, and his slugging percentage is a remarkable — and entirely unsustainable — .727 over 22 at-bats. Varsho has been a mediocre offensive player in his two seasons with the Blue Jays, but it’s possible at the age of 28 he’s having a breakout campaign. Far from a guarantee, but possible.
Taylor Ward hit a two-run homer in a loss to the Blue Jays on Thursday.
Ward, 31, gave the Angels a 2-0 lead with a two-run homer off Chris Bassitt in the first inning. He’s now gone deep in two of his last three games, and it ‘improves’ his slash to .181/.224/.391. Ward has been one of the most hot/cold players players in the sport over the last few years, so fantasy managers who can afford to make some roster moves may want to look at Ward while the going is good.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. picked up three hits and scored twice in an 8-5 win over the Angels on Thursday.
Guerrero also drew a walk. It gives the first baseman multiple hits in back-to-back games, and it’s the third time in May that he’s reached that mark. That’s helped raise his average from .268 to .295, and the only thing fantasy managers can be disappointed with is his .432 slugging percentage. That number should continue to climb as the season unfolds, but Vladdy Jr. has had some inconsistent seasons when it comes to power production.
Chad Green picked up his first save of 2025 with a scoreless ninth against the Angels on Thursday.
Green got the save after Jeff Hoffman worked in back-to-back games — and struggled — in the first two contests against the Angels. He struck out two and looked the part while needing just nine pitches to get through the inning. Hoffman should remain the closer, but Green is on his tail if the struggles were to continue.
Chris Bassitt allowed five runs — four earned — while working six-plus innings against the Angels on Thursday while picking up a win.
Bassitt allowed three runs over the first two innings on a pair of homers, but settled down over his next four frames. He came out to work the seventh, but ended up being charged for two more runs after leaving the contest. The 36-year-old veteran has forged a 3.35 ERA and outstanding 49/8 K/BB ratio over the first quarter of the season, but this wasn’t him at his best. He’ll get the Rays next week if the rotation order stays the same for Toronto.
