NHL DFS Picks & Daily Fantasy Playbook Today, October 31st

Don’t be tricked by some of the teams playing tonight, they will let you down. There are some real treats to look forward to tonight, like the matchup between the Edmonton Oilers and Nashville Predators

Let’s not worry about the ghosts that have haunted us in the past and dive right into the action for tonight!

NHL Pick 'Em At Sleeper Today

Before we get into DFS, let’s make some pick’em picks for the night over on Underdog. There are lots of ways we try to fill your wallet over here at Fantasy Alarm and this is just another option.

Sleeper NHL Picks, Thursday, October 31st

The Chicago Blackhawks are a bad hockey team, but the San Jose Sharks are even worse. Connor Bedard is going to have lots of space on the ice to do as he pleases. He’s a good shooter and can generate chances.

The Oilers are rolling with Calvin Pickard tonight and they won’t have Connor McDavid in the lineup. Filip Forsberg is a shooting machine, and he has a great matchup on home ice. I love his chances to finish with a ton of shots

Sidney Crosby is an elite hockey player and he makes everyone else around him better. The Penguins are a good power play team, while the Ducks are in the bottom half on the penalty kill. If Pittsburgh can generate enough power plays, Crosby should be able to find the scoresheet.

NHL DFS Lineup Picks Today, 10/31

Goalie Of The Day: Charlie Lindgren - WSH

The Montreal Canadiens just can’t seem to figure it out. They gave up 3 goals in less than ten minutes on Tuesday and lost 8-2 to Seattle. Washington isn’t an elite offensive team, but they will score goals tonight.

Charlie Lindgren is looking to find his game and what better way to do that than face off against the Canadiens! I expect the former Habs netminder to put up some solid numbers and come away with the win.

Play Of The Day: Filip Forsberg - NSH

All aboard the Filip Forsberg train! As mentioned earlier, the Oilers are without McDavid and Pickard is getting the call. Forsberg has finished with 7 shots in three of the last five games, two of which came on home ice.

The Oilers are bad defensively and it’s not going to get any better tonight. The floor with Forsberg is high tonight, so it’s going to be really hard to pass up on him.

Value Play Of The Day: Lukas Dostal - ANA

Lukas Dostal has been on a tear to start the season. The Ducks netminder has a 4-2-1 record with a 2.00 GAA and a .943 SV%. On the road, those numbers get even better; 1.76 GAA and a .954 SV%.

The Penguins aren’t an elite offence, while Dostal has proven he can stop the puck. If he gets the start, he’s by far the best value on the slate and is worth considering in a GPP.

Stack Of The Day - NSH PP1 (Filip Forsberg - Jonathan Marchessault - Roman Josi)

I know the Predator’s power play hasn’t been very good, but Edmonton's penalty kill is a mess. The loss of McDavid doesn’t make it better.

Nashville is in a good spot and their big boys are in a spot to cause some real damage. It’s an expensive stack, but one that is worth the price.
