Time to get ready for NFL Week 6 DFS! Who's ready? The Fantasy Alarm #FAmily has been crushing it through the first five weeks of the regular season and we're ready to do it all over again this week. Of course, we're going to have to navigate a number of key NFL injuries and that can always be tricky. With Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane out for multiple weeks, we know Raheem Mostert is going to be incredibly chalky this week, but we have to acknowledge the possibility of Jeffrey Wilson returning to that backfield. Justin Jefferson is already on IR, but how do we see the target distribution for Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings? Will it be KJ Osborn? Jordan Addison? What about Brandon Powell and possibly even Jalen Nailor? And let's not forget the Arizona Cardinals backfield. With James Conner out for multiple weeks, is Emari Demercado a lock? What if Keaontay Ingram comes of the IR list? Usually when we start looking at injury replacements, it opens up the value in DFS, but did all of this news break too early? Will any of these players be enough of a value to lock them into your cash game lineups? All that will be answered here in the NFL Week 6 DFS Watch List, so let's get to it.

As always, I would like to welcome all of our new subscribers. I've seen a lot of new screen names in Discord and I see a ton of new sign-ups for the All-Pro package, so before we fully dive in to the NFL DFS Week 6 Watch List, please allow me to welcome all of the new members of the Fantasy Alarm #FAmily. There are a lot of you and we thank you for joining. Now it's up to us to help you cash consistently on your NFL DFS action and we are psyched to make that happen. Since you are new to the Watch List, allow me to share some thoughts real quick:

“If you give a man a fish, he’ll eat for a day. If you teach a man to fish, he’ll eat for a lifetime.”

We take this adage to heart when it comes to playing NFL DFS. The Fantasy Alarm Playbook isn’t just about handing you a list of players and a lineup to use each week. It is designed to help you learn to be a better DFS player. It’s about teaching you the process used in selecting which players to scout and, eventually, which ones to use.

Therefore, we will begin each week with the Weekly NFL DFS Watch List which is designed to keep tabs on marquee names, chalk plays and, of course, the weekly bargains who may not see the same coverage and exposure. This piece will be continuously updated throughout the week, based on the most recent news and injuries, which means you may see a name or two removed as we get closer to Sunday kick-off. You may also see a few late-week additions who pique our interest for some reason too, and by the end of the week, this Watch List will eventually become your Playbook. Again, it’s about teaching you the process.

So what exactly did last week's Playbook deliver? As always, we like to check in to ensure we remain on the right path.

Scoring The Playbook Week 5

Again, a powerful week for the Playbook. We did not dive into the Jared Goff or Joe Burrow worlds which may have hurt us a bit, especially with the value Burrow presented to us, but we nailed every other position. Yes, we got burned by the Conner and Jefferson injuries, but Breece Hall and Achane? We had them in there. At wide receiver we were locked into Ja'Marr Chase and offered you some great value in DeAndre Hopkins and Marquise Brown. And who else out there had Dallas Goedert? No one! We did. We also had Sam LaPorta for those wondering. And how about that New Orleans Saints defense? So yeah, we may not have hit all our QBs, but we're building 200-plus point lineups here. Ready for more? Yeah, me too!

Fields and Bears OC Luke Getsy have obviously found some middle ground and we are finally seeing the Fields everyone was expecting when they drafted him this season. The Vikings defense has some serious shortcomings both against the run and the pass, so we're expecting a big day despite the strangely low game total Vegas is giving us.

Game Type: CASH & GPP
QBKirk CousinsWAS @ ATL Sun 1:0071008000

The Bears are allowing the second-most fantasy points per game to the QB position and they're allowing the second-most passing yards per game (286.0) with 12 touchdowns allowed through the air. Yes, Cousins will be without his top weapon in Justin Jefferson, but that won't stop head coach Kevin O'Connell and OC Wes Phillips from having Cousins air it out this week.

QBTrevor LawrenceIND @ JAC Sun 1:0065007600

The Colts are reeling right now with the loss of their quarterback, so if the Jags defense can create enough havoc for Gardner Minshew, we could see a lot of three-and-outs which means the Colts defense is going to get really tired, really quickly. The Colts secondary is already allowing 262.8 passing yards per game (fifth-most) and the eighth-most fantasy points per game to the QB position.

QBJoe BurrowSEA @ CIN Sun 1:0063007500

JUST ADDED: Considering what we've seen from Swaggy Joe over the past two weeks, he is more than deserving, especially at this discounted price. This game has all the feels of a shootout and the Seahawks rank 25th in DVOA against the pass, allowing an average of 280 passing yards per game which is third-most in the league. They've only allowed five touchdowns through the air, but that is simply a stat waiting to be corrected. Their coverage weaknesses are going to be exposed by such a potent receiving corps and with how much they struggle against the tight end, we may even get a Big Irv sighting here.

Game Type: CASH & GPP

QBMatthew StaffordARI @ LA Sun 4:2561007300

What's not to love about Stafford against the Cardinals? We already know he's got Cooper Kupp back and with him, Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell, we've got an insanely strong passing attack. The Cardinals are allowing the fifth-most fantasy points per game to the QB position, the seventh-most passing yards per game and eight touchdowns through the air.

Game Type: CASH & GPP
Weather: Mostly sunny
QBGeno SmithNE @ LV Sun 4:0557006800

He's had two weeks to prepare for this match-up against the Bengals and with what we saw from Joe Burrow last week, this could turn into a little bit of a shootout. Cincinnati did a good job stifling Joshua Dobbs and the Cardinals this past week, but they are still a secondary that is struggling with injuries and is in dire need of some safety help. Don't let last week fool you. Smith should have a strong effort this week.

Game Type: CASH & GPP
RBRaheem MostertCAR @ MIA Sun 1:0064008500

He's going to be everyone's favorite running back this week and there is no mystery to it. No De'Von Achane puts Mostert in the driver's seat and while yes, we may see Jeff Wilson get into the mix, Mostert is the guy Mike McDaniel wants toting the rock. The Panthers are allowing 140.8 rushing yards per game (seventh-most) and they've allowed a league-high nine rushing touchdowns this season.

Game Type: CASH & GPP
Weather: Cloudy
RBKenneth WalkerSEA @ CIN Sun 1:0067008400

Walker should be a favorite of many as well considering the Bengals are allowing the second-most rushing yards per game (154.0) and they've allowed four rushing touchdowns. Yes, this could turn into a little bit of a second-half shootout, but we all know how much Pete Carroll loves to run the ball and how Shane Waldron follows orders like a good soldier. Expect another strong game from Walker coming off the bye.

Game Type: CASH & GPP
Weather: Cloudy
RBKyren WilliamsARI @ LA Sun 4:2565008200

We knew last week against the Eagles would be a tough one for Williams, but he actually fared well with 53 yards on 13 carries and he even caught a couple of passes. This week, we should see a strong return game as the Cardinals are allowing 124.2 rushing yards per game and have coughed up seven rushing touchdowns. They also happen to rank 30th in DVOA against running back pass-plays, so that's a nice bonus for DK players and the full-point PPR scoring.

Game Type: CASH & GPP
Weather: Mostly sunny
RBAlvin KamaraNO @ HOU Sun 1:0068007500

The Saints haven't wasted any time getting Kamara back into the swing of things as he saw 24 touches in Week 4 and then another 25 last week. He's doing it all, both rushing and receiving, which gives him a strong boost in value on DK and now he's got the Houston Texans who rank 22nd in DVOA against the run, 28th against running back pass-plays and are allowing 112.4 rushing yards per game with eight rushing touchdowns allowed (second-most).

Game Type: CASH & GPP
Weather: Sunny
RBD'Andre SwiftMIN @ CHI Sun 1:0061007200

JUST ADDED: While the Jets defense is their strong suit, they are still pretty vulnerable to the run, despite being ranked 15th in DVOA. In fact, they are allowing the fourth-most rushing yards per game (146.2). Perhaps it's the fact that they have only allowed one rushing touchdown, which, if they can't handle the "tush push"," that number will go up here against the Eagles. In the meantime, Swift will also be able to contribute to that number rising, though it may not come in the form of a rushing touchdown as the Jets rank 23rd in DVOA against running back pass-plays and are allowing an average of nearly 50receiving yards per game to them. Swift has seen 10 targets over the last two games, so if he can maintain that this week, he should be a disruptive force.

Game Type: CASH & GPP
Weather: Cloudy
RBAlexander MattisonNE @ LV Sun 4:0556006900

While we saw Cam Akers poach some carries, it is clear that Mattison is still the lead back in this offense. The Bears run defense ranks 20th in DVOA and while they're allowing just under 100 rushing yards per game, they've allowed four rushing touchdowns and they rank dead-last in DVOA against running back pass-plays, allowing just over 60 receiving yard per game. If Mattison can drop fewer passes, we could be onto something here.

Game Type: CASH & GPP
WRJa'Marr ChaseSEA @ CIN Sun 1:0083009300

We're running it back for a third-straight week! Chase may not have hit for us back in Week 4 but he sure as heck delivered for us last week. As Joe Burrow gets healthier, this offense is going to get more and more potent and Chase's value is going to continue to skyrocket. Now he's got the Seahawks this week, a team that ranks 23rd in DVOA against the opposition's WR1 and is allowing an average of 98.5 receiving yards per game to them.

Game Type: CASH & GPP
Weather: Cloudy
WRCooper KuppARI @ LA Sun 4:2590008700

It was like he never left. Kupp returned to action last week and didn't miss a beat, collecting a team-leading 12 targets to finish with eight catches for 118 yards. He may not have found the end zone, but just watching him out there makes you want to jam him into every DFS lineup if you can. The Cardinals rank 30th in DVOA against the pass and 26th against the opposing top receiver. Kupp should have a field day with this, as should Puka Nacua who should not be overlooked either as his target-share stayed extremely strong.

Game Type: CASH & GPP
Weather: Mostly sunny
WRDJ MooreMIN @ CHI Sun 1:0065008000

As the Bears offense continues to improve, Moore's value will stay on a northbound trajectory as Justin Fields' favorite target. Last week against Washington was downright ridiculous and now he's facing a Minnesota secondary that has allowed an average of 240 passing yards per game with nine touchdowns allowed through the air. While we won't expect another three-score performance, we can certainly bank on one against these Vikings, right?

Game Type: CASH & GPP
Weather: Cloudy
WRAdam ThielenCAR @ MIA Sun 1:0059007400

With three touchdowns in his last four games and double-digit targets and 100-yard efforts in two of his last three, it's no secret that Thielen is the focal point of this passing attack and a bit of a security blanket for rookie Bryce Young. We can expect the Panthers to be throwing heavily throughout this game as their defense won't be able to contain the Dolphins, and that means plenty of work for Thielen. Even better, the Dolphins rank 25th in DVOA against the opposing WR1 and are allowing an average of 90.1 receiving yards per game to them.

Game Type: CASH & GPP
Weather: Cloudy
WRTyler LockettSEA @ CIN Sun 1:0057006600

While we will also be looking at DK Metcalf, the match-up for Lockett looks even better as we expect Chidobe Awuzie to spend most of his time against Metcalf. Meanwhile Lockett spends most of his time as the slot or Z-receiver which means Mike Hilton or Cameron Taylor-Britt respectively. Both are very favorable for Lockett and this game is profiling as a potential shootout, again, despite the low game-total. Maybe that's just Vegas hedging against a Joe Burrow relapse, but there is nothing wrong with this Seattle passing game.

Game Type: CASH & GPP
Weather: Cloudy
WRCalvin RidleyBAL @ TEN Sun 9:3067007000

That was quite a game against the Bills in London as Ridley racked up 122 yards on seven catches and more of what we expect to see from him moving forward. This match-up against a weak Colts secondary is just what we need to keep the momentum rolling. Indianapolis is ranked 22nd in DVOA against the opposing WR1 and they're allowing an average of 108.5 receiving yards per game to them.

Game Type: CASH & GPP
WRJakobi MeyersNE @ LV Sun 4:0558006700

Of course we're going to love on a revenge-game narrative for Meyers this week! He's already averaging 11 targets per game with Jimmy Garoppolo under center and now he's facing a Patriots defense that has struggled in pass coverage and in the pass-rush since losing Matthew Judon and Christian Gonzalez. As the security blanket for Jimmy Grapes, Meyers should deliver in style.

Game Type: CASH & GPP
WRDrake LondonWAS @ ATL Sun 1:0048006400

So I guess the trick to lighting a fire under Arthur Smith's and Desmond Ridder's ass is to have an opposing safety talk smack, huh? Who's gonna do it for Washington? Because after Jimmie Ward's negative comments about the Falcons' passing game, Smith called a game that saw Ridder pass for 329 yards. If Ridder is finally going to throw more, then London as the team's leading receiver should step up. We watched the Bears light up the Commanders secondary on Thursday, so at least we know there's vulnerability.

Game Type: CASH & GPP

WRK.J. OsbornNE @ LV Sun 4:0544006200

Ladies and gentlemen, if you refer to your Playbill, you will see the part of Justin Jefferson will be played by KJ Osborn this week and likely for the next four or five. The expectation is that Osborn, who was already seeing a 97-percent snap share, will move over as the X-receiver while Jordan Addison and Brandon Powell mix it up as the Z and slot. We know Osborn is capable of handling the targets and he should be able to deliver against a Bears secondary that ranks 31st in DVOA against the pass, allows the second-most passing yards per game and has allowed 12 touchdowns through the air. And this price on DK is irresistible.

Game Type: CASH & GPP
WRJosh DownsIND @ JAC Sun 1:0041005600

JUST ADDED: We're also looking at Michael Pittman, but the last time Gardner Minshew started under center for the Colts, Downs saw a team-high/season-high 12 targets and walked away with eight catches for 57 yards. We saw another productive week from him last week when Minshew stepped in and he posted six grabs for 97 yards. The touchdowns will come, but in a full-point PPR format like DraftKings, this is an outstanding bargain price, even in cash games.

Game Type: CASH & GPP

WRCurtis SamuelNYG @ BUF Sun 8:2037006200

He's playing 70-percent of the snaps and while he's third on the team in targets, there is only a four-target difference between him and the team's No. 1 Terry McLaurin. But what I like about this match is the same thing I liked about Robert Woods' match-up last week. The slot is a vulnerability of the Falcons pass defense and guys who go across the field on the underneath routes will be the beneficiaries. Last week Woods saw nine targets against Dee Alford and the Falcons. If Samuel can get a strong target share this week, he's going to be a very nice under-the-radar bargain, especially on DK.

Game Type: CASH & GPP
Weather: Mostly cloudy
TET.J. HockensonMIN @ CHI Sun 1:0066006700

While it shouldn't just be expected that Hockenson will see an uptick in targets with the loss of Jefferson, we kind of expect him to, especially in this match-up against the Bears. Chicago is allowing the eighth-most fantasy points per game to the tight end position and are allowing an average of 58.8 receiving yards per game to them. We didn't get to see enough of Hockenson against the Chiefs, so we're banking on a turnaround for him this week.

TEDallas GoedertPHI @ NYJ Sun 4:2548006200

I said in in the write-up, but come on…who else had Goedert in their DFS recommendations last week? That would be no one but Fantasy Alarm. You put Andrew Cooper and I together – couple of handsome tight end whisperers – and we handed you Goedert on a silver platter last week. He's priced up a little more this week, as expected, but we'll probably be able to use him in cash because everyone else will be on him this week with the Jets allowing the most fantasy points per game to the tight end position. Heck, even Adam Trautman caught a touchdown against them.

TELogan ThomasSF @ CLE Sun 1:0035005400

On Tuesday's episode of Alarm Fantasy Football, Jon Impemba and I were stunned to see just how many leagues Thomas is available. We hit you with the Commanders tight end stuff during the preseason and it's all coming to fruition. Eric Bieniemy comes from the Chiefs and the Andy Reid coaching tree, so we knew there would be plenty of targets for the tight end. Thomas is in play, once again for DFS with this match-up against the Falcons. Just go back and read what I wrote about the defense in the Curtis Samuel section.

Game Type: CASH & GPP

TEZach ErtzWAS @ ATL Sun 1:0036005200

Yes, we had Ertz in the Playbook last week and why shouldn't we? The guy's got the third most targets at the tight end position and he found the end zone for the first time last week. He pays off his value in catches alone in a PPR format so yards and touchdowns are gravy. Ertz is also in the same situation Goedert was in last week. The Rams are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to the tight end position and we expect Dobbs to be throwing heavy in this one.

Game Type: CASH & GPP
Weather: Mostly cloudy
TETyler ConklinPHI @ NYJ Sun 4:2533004900

While Conklin didn't get into the end zone last week, he easily paid off that bargain price with his four catches for 67 yards. He saw the second-most targets last week and has a match-up against the Eagles who rank dead last in DVOA against the tight end and we've watched plenty of tight ends have success against them. Unless he gets into the end zone, he's only going to provide you with even money, but if that helps you get a more premium player into your lineup, then you're winning.

TEIrv SmithDEN @ KC Thu 8:1530004500

JUST ADDED: If you're looking for dirt-cheap, I mentioned Smith in the Burrow write-up above and he could prove to be a big salary-saver in a potential game-stack here since we don't really know how to choose between Noah Fant and Colby Parkinson on the Seattle side. They could be dart-throws as well, but we'll look at Smith being the clear-cut lead TE in Cincinnati.  The Seahawks rank 31st in DVOA against the position and they're allowing an average of 47 receiving yards per game to tight ends. He doesn't see much in the way of targets, but he does have a red zone look and could be an intriguing contrarian play.
