No rest for the weary as our NFL Week 13 DFS prep work begins now. The Playbooks and coaches have been so strong all year long and we want to carry that momentum into the upcoming weeks. With six teams on a bye, the main slate looks a little light with just 10 games, but now add to that, the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs and Jacksonville Jaguars playing in prime time, so even more marquee players off the board. You can also throw in the unrest for the Carolina Panthers, the new offense for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the big-time match-up between the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles. Where in the world do we want to go? Building winning DFS lineups isn't easy, so getting a jump on all the NFL news and everything tied in is important. We do just that and discuss induvial match-ups right here.

While our cash game lineups fell apart with the quarterback swap, the NFL DFS Playbook was still fire and with that, plus our holiday discounts brings a new wave of new subscribers, so as always, I would like to welcome all of you. I love seeing all the new screen names in Discord and seeing all of these new sign-ups for the All-Pro package makes me very happy, so before we fully dive in to the NFL DFS Week 13 Watch List, please allow me to welcome all of the new members of the Fantasy Alarm #FAmily. There are a lot of you and we thank you for joining. Now it's up to us to help you cash consistently on your NFL DFS action and we are psyched to make that happen. Since you are new to the Watch List, allow me to share some thoughts real quick:

“If you give a man a fish, he’ll eat for a day. If you teach a man to fish, he’ll eat for a lifetime.”

We take this adage to heart when it comes to playing NFL DFS. The Fantasy Alarm Playbook isn’t just about handing you a list of players and a lineup to use each week. It is designed to help you learn to be a better DFS player. It’s about teaching you the process used in selecting which players to scout and, eventually, which ones to use.

Therefore, we will begin each week with the Weekly NFL DFS Watch List which is designed to keep tabs on marquee names, chalk plays and, of course, the weekly bargains who may not see the same coverage and exposure. This piece will be continuously updated throughout the week, based on the most recent news and injuries, which means you may see a name or two removed as we get closer to Sunday kick-off. You may also see a few late-week additions who pique our interest for some reason too, and by the end of the week, this Watch List will eventually become your Playbook. Again, it’s about teaching you the process.

So what exactly did last week's Playbook deliver? As always, we like to check in to ensure we remain on the right path.

Scoring The Playbook Week 12

Like I said up above – fire. Absolute fire. At some point soon, I will forgive myself for giving in to public pressure and swapping out Jalen Hurts for Patrick Mahomes, but as you can see, you had some serious points scored and even with a lesser quarterback, could have put up some fantastic scores. One of the key components was the value of Greg Dortch who didn't exactly light it up, but the money you saved using him in your lineups was huge. If you also paid down at tight end and took that chance on Pat Freiermuth, it went even better for you. Probably the most interesting aspect of the build, and something I usually do on FanDuel but don't do on DraftKings is the running back in the flex. With the half-point PPR scoring on FD, it's extremely beneficial to add that third RB to your roster. I don't really do it on DraftKings, not just because of the scoring format but because the pricing on DK usually pushes you towards a salary-saving wide receiver or tight end. Unless there's a significant bargain at running back on DK, I still don't see myself doin that in my lineups, so don't let this example sway you away from the usual process. We'll identify the bargain backs as the week goes on and see if we can, but with six teams on a bye, I'm less enthusiastic about finding the right one to do something like this on DK. Fanduel? Yes, DK, no.

OK, enough looking backwards. Let's check out who looks good for NFL Week 13.
