Top FanDuel & DraftKings Week 15 DFS Value Plays
Case Keenum, QB Houston Texans
Listen, Howard Bender has him in the playbook and I know he's toyed with some lineup builds that include Keenum. Here are the facts, he is a min-price starting QB. He has had success at the NFL level as a starting QB which included taking the Vikings to the playoffs all those years ago. If he had better offensive weapons in this game I would actually be more willing to roster him but for now he's nothing more than a tournament dart throw here against a bad secondary in the Tennessee Titans.
Ezekiel Elliott, RB New England Patriots
While the entire world is seemingly playing Antonio Gibson in the Commanders matchup against the Rams now that Brian Robinson is ruled out I find myself looking to pay up a bit for Patriots RB Ezekiel Elliott. Elliott did not disappoint last week in his starting role against the Steelers and in Week 15 I expect much more of the same with the Patriots at home against the Chiefs with Bailey Zappe leading the offense. Zeke should see plenty of work in the passing game and if New England gets in the red zone he is the man getting those goal line carries.
Jayden Reed, WR Green Bay Packers
Christian Watson is doubtful to suit up on Sunday and Reed was already making plays even when Watson was healthy. Last week in the Packers loss to the Giants he had eight catches on 10 targets while adding four carries for 38 yards and a rushing touchdown. The Buccaneers pass defense is not good at all and their team is a bit banged up to boot. He's very chalky but given the spot we are going to plug him into our lineups anyway.
Chigoziem Okonkwo, TE Tennessee Titans
It's been an up and down season for Okonkwo but he and rookie QB Will Levis are finally finding their chemistry which is great timing for us DFS players as Okonkwo is one of the cheaper tight ends on the board and his target share has been strong over the last three weeks. Chig is looking like a great salary saving punt play this week.
Player News
Seahawks RB Kenny McIntosh (knee) was carted off the field in practice Saturday.
Fellow running backs Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet were seen talking to the third-year running back as he was helped onto the cart during a camp practice Saturday, with initial testing revealing a potentially torn ACL. McIntosh was set to enter the 2025 regular season third on the team’s depth chart, also a regular contributor on special teams. There is the potential for the team to explore free agent help at the position considering the general lack of depth behind Walker and Charbonnet following McIntosh’s injury.
Rams HC Sean McVay said QB Matthew Stafford (back) will not practice next week.
McVay stated that the team is not expecting Stafford to miss more than the first portion of camp, indicating they believe he will be back on the practice field in short order. “I don’t have any reason to be concerned,” McVay added later in the press conference with media following practice Saturday. Stafford has been sidelined at the beginning of camp with back soreness, something that doesn’t seem to be overly serious for the 37-year-old quarterback even though his initial timeline for return to team activities has now been prolonged.
Titans WR Treylon Burks (collarbone) injured Saturday in camp.
Burks came down awkwardly following a reception in camp Saturday, with initial testing indicating a broken collarbone. The injury is highly likely to sideline him for the start of the regular season. The Titans brought in a slew of pass-catching help this offseason, including wide receiver Tyler Lockett and Van Jefferson, both of whom were projected to start over the former first-round receiver come September. This injury could be the proverbial nail in the coffin for the once-promising prospect following a torn ACL suffered in Week 5 of the 2024 season.
Vikings signed S Joshua Metellus to a three-year, $36 million extension.
The deal keeps Metellus attached to the Vikings through the 2028 season. Metellus, a former No. 205 overall pick, was initially waived by the Vikings before being brought back on a team-friendly contract, only to earn a pay jump and more security through his play on the field. He heads into the 2025 season a seasoned starter for Brian Flores’ defense.
NFL Insider Jordan Schultz reports Texans RB Joe Mixon (foot) will miss multiple weeks of training camp.
Schultz adds that the goal is for Mixon to be ready for Week 1, but missing most, if not all, of camp and preseason is not ideal for Mixon. Mixon’s timeline has continued to be pushed back after initial reports stated he would be ready for camp, with follow-on reports stating he would “be ready at some point during training camp.” The fact that the injury is worse than was initially reported should raise some red flags for fantasy managers as we enter primetime draft season. Nick Chubb would presumably be the next man up in the Houston backfield should Mixon’s absence carry over into the regular season.
NFL Insider Jordan Schultz reports Mike Hilton is signing with the Dolphins.
The deal is for one year, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Hilton spent the first four years of his career with the Steelers and the last four with the Bengals. The 31-year-old safety started 23 games for the Bengals over the last two years. Hilton can also play nickel cornerback and could be used there with the Dolphins.
