Welcome to the NFL DFS Week 6 RB Coach article!

It was a pretty good Week 5 for the NFL DFS RB coach. Jordan Mason (9.8 DraftKings/ 8.3 FanDuel points) and Najee Harris (9.7 DK/ 8.7 FD points) might have disappointed a bit, but Derrick Henry (16.6 DK/ 16.1 FD points), Josh Jacobs (16.4 DK/ 15.9 FD points), Chuba Hubbard (18.5 DK/ 15.5 FD points) and D’Andre Swift (20 DK/ 19 FD points) all earned their salaries last week.

NFL DFS Week 6 RB Coach For FanDuel & DraftKings Fantasy

My worst piece of advice last week was to fade Kareem HuntHe obviously looks like the lead back for the Kansas City Chiefs for the short term.

The Chiefs have a bye and even though Clyde Edwards-Helaire will have an extra week of practice under his belt ahead of Week 7, Hunt should still get the majority of the snaps as Edwards-Helaire is likely eventually eased back into action.

NFL Week 6 Running Backs

It’s going to be another challenging week for NFL DFS players as the Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Rams and Miami Dolphins have a bye along with the Chiefs. The good news is that Vikings RB Aaron Jones (hip) and Dolphins RB De’Von Achane (concussion) will have a week to recover from their injuries and potentially be considered as NFL DFS RB options for Week 7.

As for the NFL DFS Week 6 RB Coach, with all of the uncertainty surrounding the RB position my recommended NFL DFS RB suggestions may be more top heavy than usual and you may want to pay up for an NFL DFS RB to put in your lineup. Bijan Robinson has a great matchup this week but his hammy has been giving him trouble.

He’s been trying to play through his nagging injury but all that’s done is limit his fantasy productivity and it’s also given hope to fantasy managers who roster Tyler Allgeiers in season long leagues because of his recent uptick in snaps played percentage.

The Cleveland Browns take on the Philadelphia Eagles, (who give up over 5 yards per carry (YPC) to RBs), in Week 6 but with Jerome Ford and D’Onta Foreman splitting carries in Week 5 and Nick Chubb and Nyheim Hines returning to the practice field after extensive injuries, it’s hard to recommend any Browns RB for your NFL DFS lineups.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Najee Harris has another good matchup but based on his recent performances his ceiling is too low to make him an NFL DFS RB Week 6 option. If Dallas Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle continues his upward trend in fantasy production and playing time I’ll consider him as a future NFL DFS RB recommendation but he has a terrible matchup against the Detroit Lions and I’m not willing to pay for his current bloated $5900 DK/$6100 FD salary.

However, there are several NFL DFS Week 6 RB Coach that I believe are fairly priced based on their potential production and I think they can help you win some cash this week. The following are my favorite picks for this NFL DFS Week 6 RB Coach and hopefully by the end of Week 6 they’ll be your favorites as well!

NFL DFS RB Top-Tier Picks For Week 6

Saquon Barkley, RB Philadelphia Eagles - DraftKings: $8,200 | FanDuel: $9,200

Except for Week 4 when they were being blown out by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Barkley has played at least 80% of the Eagles’ offensive snaps. With WRs A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith expected to be back in action in Week 6 Barkley’s snaps played percentage might level off somewhat, but he’ll still be heavily featured in the Eagles’ offense.

I love the fact that Barkley will have fresh legs coming off a bye and that he faces a Cleveland Browns team that gives up an average of 4.70 YPC to NFL DFS RBs.  Barkley is the most expensive NFL DFS Week 6 RB on both DraftKings and FanDuel but in my opinion he’s worth his salary.

Jahmyr Gibbs, RB Detroit Lions - DraftKings: $7,000 | FanDuel: $7,800

Gibbs has been able to be a consistently productive NFL DFS RB week after week even though he shares the Lions’ backfield with David Montgomery. He’s never scored fewer than 16.3 DraftKings and 14.1 FanDuel points in his first four games of the season.

His Week 6 opponent, the Dallas Cowboys, have had their issues against top line fantasy RBs, giving up 4.36 YPC and seven total TDs to the position. Like Barkley, he’s coming off a bye week and should be running on fresh legs.

James Conner, RB Arizona Cardinals - DraftKings: $6,800 | FanDuel: $8,000

Conners’ NFL DFS salary is a little higher than usual in Week 6 but based on his recent production it’s understandable. Other than his Week 3, 17 rushing yard, 1.9 YPC performance against a stingy Lions run defense, Conner is averaging 4.89 YPC on the season.

The Cardinals are running the ball more this season (48.62%) compared to last season (44.10%) and Conner has a good matchup against a Green Bay Packers run defense that is giving up 4.65 YPC to RBs through their first five games of the season.

NFL DFS RB Mid-Tier Picks For Week 6

Tony Pollard, RB Tennessee Titans - DraftKings: $6,000 | FanDuel: $7,000

Staying with my RBs coming off a bye, fresh legs theme, Pollard should earn his NFL DFS mid-range salary this week against an Indianapolis Colts team that has had problems stopping the run. The Colts have given up the fourth most rushing yards to RBs (595) and 4.22 YPC to the position.

Pollard is the clear lead back for the Titans and other than a Week 3 game in which his team was being blown out by the Packers, he’s provided NFL DFS players with good production. If you take away that Week 3 performance Pollard is averaging 17.46 DraftKing points and 15.8 FanDuel points per week.

David Montgomery, RB Detroit Lions - DraftKings: $6,500 | FanDuel: $7,900

Refer back to my explanation of why I’m recommending Jahmyr Gibbs, and you’ll understand why I’m recommending Montgomery even though he shares the Lions’ backfield with Gibbs.

Montgomery hasn’t scored fewer than 15 DraftKings points or 14.5 FanDuel Points in four games this season and his DraftKings salary is $500 cheaper than Gibbs’.

NFL DFS RB Value Picks For Week 6

Javonte Williams RB, Denver Broncos - DraftKings: $5,500 | FanDuel: $5,900

Dating back to the preseason when some beat writers were predicting that he would be cut by the Broncos, the 2024 NFL season has been a roller coaster ride for Williams. With Tyler Badie being placed on IR and Williams coming on lately it seems his role as the Broncos’ primary back is secure, at least for now.

Williams was averaging just 8 carries in his first three games of the 2024 season and that has increased to 14.5 carries per game over the past two weeks. Williams has responded to that extra work by averaging 4.75 YPC over the past two weeks. He’s got a good Week 6 matchup against a Chargers run defense that is giving up 4.25 YPC to opposing NFL DFS RBs.

Tank Bigsby RB, Jacksonville Jaguars - DraftKings: $6,000 | FanDuel: $6,000

With Travis Etienne dealing with a shoulder injury and Bigsby’s role in the Jaguars’ backfield expanding, his $6,000 price tag on both the DraftKings and FanDuel platforms looks pretty appealing. Bigsby played a season high 40% of the Jaguars’ offensive snaps in Week 5 and is averaging 8.03 YPC on the season.

That average will obviously level off as his carries increase, but it is still very impressive. He’s got a good matchup against a Chicago Bears run defense giving up just under 5 YPC to RBs this season. Keep an eye on Etienne’s progress as kickoff approaches.

NFL DFS RB Fades For Week 6

Bijan Robinson RB, Atlanta Falcons - DraftKings: $6,600 | FanDuel: $7,700

I referred to Robinson earlier in this article and Allgeier will continue to have a role in the Falcons’ backfield, but when Robinson is fully healthy I believe he’s clearly the Falcons’ lead NFL DFS RB.

I love his matchup against the Carolina Panthers but his snaps may be limited because of his hamstring injury in Week 6. It’s a risky play, but Allgeier’s $5100 DraftKings/$5400 FanDuel salary could end up paying big dividends in Week 6 against a bad Carolina Panthers run defense.

NFL Week 6 RB Play Of The Week

Alvin Kamara, RB, New Orleans Saints - DraftKings: $7,700 | FanDuel: $8,800

Kamara commands a hefty NFL DFS salary into his Week 6 matchup against the Buccaneers but in a week where there’s a lot of uncertainty surrounding the NFL DFS RB landscape his high floor is extremely valuable. He’s coming off a sub-par Week 5 in which he only rushed for 26 yards but his six receptions still helped him score 12.6 DraftKings and 9.6 FanDuel points.

He has a good shot at having a nice bounce back week against a Bucs team that has given up third most receptions to RBs. Catching balls out of the backfield has been Kamara’s specialty over the years and his Week 6 production should be closer to his 27.4 DK/ 25.27 FD average.
