Eagles vs. Cowboys Predictions For NFL Week 10, Sunday 11/10
As they are NFC East division rivals, these teams naturally play fairly often. Twice a year minimum with the potential to meet a third time in the playoffs. They have actually gone back and forth the last five times with the Eagles winning most recently, the Cowboys winning the previous matchup and so on. But that goes out the window a bit with Cooper Rush at quarterback.
The Cowboys are in the midst of a three-game losing streak that has brought their season-long record to 3-5. The Eagles on the other hand have won five of their last six which puts them at 6-2 and in second place for the division. We all know Jerry Jones won’t call it a season until they are mathematically eliminated.
Philadelphia Eagles: Saquon Barkley Magic
By now everyone has seen the incredible “reverse hurdle” play that Saquon Barkley graced us with last week. He’s been incredible this year after coming over from the Giants. AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert have all dealt with various ailments, but they are all expected to give it a go this week.
The Eagles have been a tough team on defense, especially against the run where they are a top five team in rushing yards against this year. Overall, they are ranked as a top 10 defensive unit in DVOA per FTN Fantasy. If Rico Dowdle and crew can’t get going, Cooper Rush could have his hands full.
Dallas Cowboys: The Cooper Rush Era
The injury to Dak Prescott’s hamstring is serious enough that surgery has been on the table. So Cooper Rush will take over. We saw Rush play a servicable stretch fo games in 2022 where he led the team to a 4-2 record over a six-game span. But that was a different team with a much better line. And a healthy CeeDee Lamb vs. one this week battling a shoulder issue.
The Cowboys’ defense was expected to be a good one this year. But injuries have completely ravaged this unit. Star corner DaRon Bland has already been ruled out and Trevon Diggs is questionable with a calf issue. Micah Parsons is hoping to make his long-awaited return from an ankle injury. The crew upfront has been brutal against the run with Mazi Smith running out of time to prove he was not a bust of a draft pick.

Eagles vs. Cowboys Predictions: Dallas Cowboys +7.5 (-115 at BetMGM Sportsbook)
Do I think the Dallas Cowboys outright win this game? Probably not. Can they gracefully lose by a touchdown or less? I think so. And a lot of it boils down to Cooper Rush.
Not only did 2022 Cooper Rush play well but, if you go back and watch last week’s game, Cooper Rush actually looked pretty good. His 13 completions on 25 attempts stat line does not do it justice given the number of well thrown balls that were dropped. Per Pro Football Focus, a whopping 7 passes from Rush were dropped. So, in reality, he put 20 of 25 balls on the money.
Ceedee Lamb is going to play - he got a full practice in today. Zack Martin is good to go. Micah Parsons is expected to play. Trevon Diggs might have practiced today but he got sick, so we’ll have to wait there. The Cowboys should have enough to hang in there if they can execute.
The Eagles pass-catchers are all good to go as well but they are also just getting off ailments with the knee for AJ Brown and hamstring issues for DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert. These division games can be wonky, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the Eagles end up sneaky by here rather than crushing the Cowboys.
