NFL DFS Week 5 Picks, Projections & Playbook For DraftKings & FanDuel

Back to back games with a rushing touchdown for Jackson as helped him be one of the top scoring QB's in DFS this season despite the limited pass attempts. In Week 5 we see the Ravens on the road against the Bengals in what should be a fun divisional battle and one that could force Jackson to be a playmaker if Burrow, Chase and the Bengals offense jump out to an early lead.

We finally got the big game from Stroud last week against the Jaguars and we find him in another good spot this week with as home favorites in a matchup against the Bills. Home games have been the spot where Stroud has performance the best during his young career and with Nico Collins, Stefon Diggs and a returning Tank Dell at his disposal, this should be another strong day for Stroud.

After a very concerning Week 1 performance we've seen Burrow put up some strong fantasy numbers over the past few weeks. With Ja'Marr Chase looking as good as he is and a healthy Tee Higgins on the field, this passing attack can rival anyone in football.

He returned from injury last week and, other than the three interceptions, fantasy managers had to love what they saw. This week against the Rams is a favorable matchup for Love and though the team is without Christian Watson and likely Romeo Doubs this week, there is still plenty of upside for Love with Reed and Wicks ready to go.

Smith is one of my favorite QB's on the slate given the price and the matchup. Now, with the Giants heading into Seattle without both Malik Nabers and Devin Singletary there is a good chance this game isn't competitive for long so the ceiling for Smith may be lowered and therefore I like him more in cash games.

It was great to see Lawrence throw for two touchdowns last week but the passing offense still leaves much to be desired. This week Lawrence has a favorable matchup against the Colts and he should have all his receiving weapons at his disposal with Evan Engram trending to return this week to join both Kirk and Thomas who have been really good over the past few weeks.

Flacco threw two touchdowns in relief last week and now gets a full week of practice as the starter. We love this for fantasy and I'd expect him to be pretty popular this week given what we saw him do last season with the Browns.

If you aren't using Lamar Jackson then Henry should be in your lineups. Not just because he is coming off of a near 200-yard rushing game against the Bills but because the Bengals run defense is putrid and Henry is seeing the volume and red zone opportunities to be the top scoring back on the slate.

Another week, another touchdown for Williams. The Rams are feeding him the football given the state of their passing offense and he has responded well for those using him in DFS. The Packers run defense hasn't been anything special this season and though teams know the Rams are looking to run the football, they haven't really done a great job of stopping Williams this season.

No real reason not to use him so, just use him. The Cardinals run defense is atrocious and he is going to see 20+ carries with touchdown upside.

The Seahawks are big home favorites this weekend against a Giants team that is coming in without Malik Nabers or Devin Singletary. The game script for this screams Kenneth Walker and at his price he is going to be a very highly rostered play in all formats.

If you aren't using Jordan Love this week you should put some series consideration into using Josh Jacobs. The volume of carries should be there in this matchup and his upside in the passing game shouldn't be ignored either. I'm predicting that Jacobs finds the end zone this week.

FanDuel includes the Sunday Night Football game so we look at Najee Harris. He should see the volume of carries here this week against Dallas especially with Jaylen Warren set to miss this game.

Back-to-back 100-yard games for Hubbard as Andy Dalton breathes new life into the Panthers offense. The Bears run defense has struggled this season and if Hubbard is going to see this kind of volume, we know the upside is there as we saw it from him last season when the Panther fed him the football.

Was it real or a mirage? Swift absolutely dominated the Bears defense last week both on the ground and through the air. We know this is the player he can be but will the Bears realize this and utilize him in the same way this week against the Panthers? He is a GPP only play because he is as likely to pop off as he is to be on the sidelines watching Roschon Johnson scoring instead. 

Whelp, reports are out there that Gibson will start for the Patriots over Rhamondre Stevenson on Sunday due to Stevenson's recent fumbling issues. But what does that mean? Do we think Gibson is actually going to be the featured running back this weekend or that he plays the first series and then it is Stevenson rest of the way? Either way, in GPP's Gibson is worth a look given his usage in the passing game.

Chase had the big touchdown catch and run last week as he followed up his six catch, 100+ yard and two scores from Week 3. The Ravens are a tougher defensive test but Chase is among the top receivers in football and he is clicking right now with Joe Burrow.

Sunday Night Football fun over on FanDuel. If the Cowboys are doing anything on offense in this game it is going to come through Lamb and what better way to take down a FanDuel GPP than some late night hammer exposure to one of the best wide receivers in football.

Collins is averaging over 100 yards receiving per game this season proving that Stefon Diggs was not going to cut into his breakout season, if anything, help draw coverage away from him. Yes, he is expensive but you aren't angry at the results to this point.

I think he scores early and hopefully it is on a long play downfield because I'm not sure how long the Seahawks will be passing the football here in a game where many expect them to jump out to an early lead and then lean on the rushing attack. Of course, Metcalf is one of the few receivers in football that can have over 100 yards and two scores on only a handful of receptions.

Hes cheaper than Nico Collins, he has shown a very high ceiling and he has the revenge game narrative going for him as the Bills come to Houston. I like Diggs in cash games this week but you can definitely use him in your GPP stacks as well.

No Watson and likely no Doubs this week. Reed had a big game last week in the Packers attempted come back and he should be set as the number one wide receiver in this offense this week and probably moving forward as well.

How much faith do we have in the Browns offense? Yes, Watson isn't in the playbook (but check the dart board), but Amari Cooper and Jerry Jeudy both are. This Commanders pass defense is pretty bad even if they just had a good game against the Cardinals last weekend. I'm really liking Cooper this week.

Hes good to go and he has been playing out of his mind since Dalton became the QB. We should be locking him in for double-digit targets and maybe a third straight week with a touchdown as well.

As Andy Dalton did with the Panthers passing offense, Joe Flacco did to the Colts as well. Last week Michael Pittman had six catches for 113 yards and the hope this week is that Pittman, with Flacco as the starting QB, can have a repeat performance against a bad Jaguars defense.

The rookie had his best game of the season in Week 4, catching six passes for 86 yards and a touchdown. We are expecting a back and forth game against the Colts this weekend and this is a great spot for both team's passing attacks.

I'm not trying to be repetitive here so, just know that everything I wrote above about Thomas I also mean about Kirk. He is really connecting with Lawrence over the last two weeks, seeing double-digit targets in both and this is an elite spot.

Robinson has been a target monster in this Giants passing attack and with Malik Nabers ruled out we very well could see Robinson as the number one receiver for the Giants in a game we are expecting them to be trailing and therefore needing to throw.

Jeudy is seeing about eight targets a game right now and has been the most consistent Browns receiver on the year with three double-digit scoring games in full PPR formats.This matchup against the Commanders is a pretty elite spot and the Browns are a sneaky GPP play.

Downs had 8 catches for 82 yards and a touchdown last week. Like I said with Pittman, having Joe Flacco at QB changes the entire dynamic of this passing offense and only means good things for Downs.

Wicks is a big red zone threat and with both Watson and Doubs not suiting up for the Packers this week he is going to be a very popular option in tournaments given not only the price tag, especially on FanDuel where he is basically free, but also because the matchup against the Rams is a pretty strong one for opposing receivers.

With Shakir ruled out for the Bills this week its feeling like Kincaid is a sure fire bet. He is actually seeing consistent targets of late and while the other receivers will step up with Shakir out of the lineup, it is the second-year tight end that I have my eye on in this offense this week.

He is a the safety net for Dak Prescott and the volume of targets continues to be there for Ferguson. If on FanDuel, I certainly don't mind the play here in cash games.

he exploded last week and now the Packers are down two receivers. Naturally this will draw eyes to Kraft and the price tag is pretty appealing here as well.

I thought maybe we would see Evan Engram this week but that is not going to be the case. With Engram out it means we have another week to make Brenton Strange happen for us in our DFS lineups.

Home against a Giants team missing their top two offensive players in Malik Nabers and Devin Singletary. This feels like a week where they rack up sacks and get Daniel Jones to throw interceptions.

Raiders go into this week without Davante Adams and Zamir White. The Denver Broncos defense has been as good as they come this season and are now back home. This price is just too nice given the home field advantage and the disarray of the Raiders right now.
