NFL Injury Report 2024 Ahead Of Sunday's Week 15 Games: Breece Hall, More

Week 15 kicked off with an ugly looking Thursday Night Football game that resulted in no touchdowns. The rest of the slate is shaping up to be a good one, but we’re still awaiting some key injury news for players that will change our fantasy football lineups. Tapping into the Week 15 NFL Injury Report is important because the fantasy football playoffs are upon us and we’re still unsure if the likes of Breece Hall, Bucky Irving, Ladd McConkey, and D’Andre Swift will play. Let’s dive in.
NFL Week 15 Injury Report: Quarterbacks
Aidan O’Connell Injury Update - Knee
Head coach Antonio Pierce told the media on Friday that despite the fact that Aidan O’Connell hasn’t practiced yet, the team still thinks there’s a chance he plays on Monday. He’ll start if he can. If not, Desmond Ridder will.
NFL Week 15 Injury Report: Running Backs
Breece Hall Injury Update - Knee
After not practicing either of the first two days of the week, Breece Hall miraculously practiced in full on Friday and things are looking very good for his Week 15 status. Hall is very likely to suit up this week.
Bucky Irving Injury Update - Hip, Back
After failing to practice on both Wednesday and Thursday, Bucky Irving was able to return on Friday albeit in a limited fashion. It’s hard to imagine Irving being anywhere close to 100% even if he suits up and it’s very possible, like last week, if he’s active he can’t make it through the entire game.
Kenneth Walker Injury Update - Calf
Kenneth Walker was unable to practice the entire week and has officially been listed as doubtful for the Seahawks Week 15 game.
D’Andre Swift Injury Update - Groin
Friday was a chance for D’Andre Swift to return to practice, but he wasn’t able to. That said, the Bears expect him to be available for Saturday’s practice. The Bears play on Monday.
Tony Pollard Injury Update - Ankle
The Titans have a specific plan weekly with Tony Pollard that they’re sticking to as he didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday but was limited at Friday’s session. The Titans are listing Pollard as questionable but the expectation is that he’ll be able to play.
Raheem Mostert Injury Update - Hip
Raheem Mostert has been removed from the injury report ahead of the Dolphins Week 15 game.
Roschon Johnson Injury Update - Concussion
We’ll see if Roschon Johnson’s able to practice on Saturday, but considering he hasn’t been able to practice and is still in concussion protocol is not a good sign for him ahead of Week 15. Travis Homer will likely be the backup running back for the Bears in Week 15.
NFL Week 15 Injury Report: Wide Receivers
Mike Evans Injury Update - Hamstring
Mike Evans wasn’t able to practice in either of the first days of the week but after getting back on the field on Friday and isn’t even listed on the injury report heading into Week 15.
George Pickens Injury Update - Hamstring
It was reported earlier in the week that it was unlikely that George Pickens was going to be available in this one and alas, he’s officially been ruled out with the same hamstring injury that kept him out in Week 14.
Ladd McConkey Injury Update - Shoulder, Knee
It felt like Ladd McConkey was close to playing in Week 14 and didn’t but now he’s logged three straight limited practices this week and is trending in the right direction. He’s listed questionable officially.
Rashod Bateman Injury Update - Knee
Rashod Bateman has been removed from the Ravens injury report after practicing in full capacity all week long.
Keon Coleman Injury Update - Wrist
Keon Coleman is not carrying an injury designation with him into Week 15 after missing the Bills’ last four games.
Romeo Doubs Injury Update - Concussion
Romeo Doubs has officially cleared concussion protocol and is ready to roll for the Packers as they take the field on Sunday night in Week 15.
Cedric Tillman Injury Update - Concussion
After being unable to clear concussion protocol yet, Cedric Tillman will miss his third straight game.
Josh Downs Injury Update - Shoulder
The team is listing him as questionable, but after logging full practices on both Thursday and Friday, we should expect Josh Downs to play in Week 15.
NFL Week 15 Injury Report: Tight Ends
Trey McBride Injury Update - Knee
It was a little concerning the first two days of the week as Trey McBride was practicing on a limited basis but returned on Friday to full and is completely off the injury report.
Evan Engram Injury Update - Shoulder
Evan Engram’s season is done as he has a season-ending shoulder injury.
David Njoku Injury Update - Hamstring
After not practicing all week, David Njoku spoke to the media and said his hamstring started hurting in Week 14 but he was able to play through it. He still feels the pull and hopes he’ll be able to get it right by Sunday.
Player News
Dolphins signed No. 13 overall pick DT Kenneth Grant to a four-year contract.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that Grant will sign his contract today. The former Michigan defensive tackle is expected to fill a major void left by Christian Wilkins, who left for the Raiders in the 2024 offseason. Grant totaled 32 tackles, three sacks, and seven TFLs in his final season at Michigan and excelled at stopping the run while also generating 27 pressures in his final season, per PFF.
Beat reporter John Hendrix reports that free agent WR Donovan Peoples-Jones is among the 16 players that the Saints will host for their rookie minicamp.
Peoples-Jones last played regular season snaps with the Lions back in 2023, when he caught 13-of-24 targets for 155 yards. He is highly unlikely to return to fantasy relevance at this point but could perhaps sign on as a special teams contributor.
Titans signed fourth-round pick WR Elic Ayomanor to a four-year contract.
Ayomanor will now begin learning behind Calvin Ridley. Although Ayomanor is unlikely to find a meaningful role in year one, dynasty managers should note his status as training camp gets underway this summer. The former Stanford receiver flashed big-play ability in his two college seasons.
Buccaneers signed seventh-round pick WR Tez Johnson to a four-year contract.
Johnson will serve as a rotational deep-threat option for Baker Mayfield. His thin frame (5'10/154) simply does not lend itself to the repeated hits one incurs in a full-time role. Johnson did earn 100-plus targets in his two seasons at Oregon, though. His big-play style make him a better fit in best ball for now, pending any major on-field breakthroughs.
Giants waived DT Casey Rogers.
Rogers was a 2024 undrafted free agent and logged 33 defensive snaps for the Giants in his rookie season. He is credited with zero tackles and/or sacks. He may find his way onto another roster as a practice squad option.
Vikings signed third-round pick WR Tai Felton to a four-year contract.
Felton is quietly in play to challenge Vikings No. 3 WR Jalen Nailor in training camp. Nailor (5'11/190) caught 28-of-42 targets for 414 yards and six touchdowns in his first season as a starter last year, with the latter category buoying his fantasy productivity. Felton (6'1/183), meanwhile, caught 96-of-143 targets for 1,119 yards and nine touchdowns while averaging 2.32 yards per route run in his final college season. Fantasy managers should monitor Felton’s training camp reports this summer, as he could have a matchup-based WR5 role if everything falls into place.
